The nonlinear propagation of small amplitude dust‐acoustic (DA) solitary waves in magnetized dusty plasma consisting of negatively charged mobile dust fluid, and Boltzmann‐distributed electrons and ions with two distinct temperatures following a q‐nonextensive distribution are investigated. In this article, a number of nonlinear equations, namely, the Korteweg–de‐Vries (K‐dV) equations, have been derived by employing the reductive perturbation technique that is valid for a small but finite amplitude limit. The effects of nonextensivity of ions with two distinct temperatures and dust concentration on the amplitude and width of DA solitary waves are investigated theoretically. It is observed that both the nonextensive and low‐temperatures ions significantly modify the basic properties and polarities of DA solitary waves. It is shown that both positive and negative potential DA solitons occur in this case. The implications of these results to some astrophysical environments and space plasmas (e.g., stellar polytropes, peculiar velocity distributions of galaxies, and collisionless thermal plasma), and laboratory dusty plasma systems are briefly mentioned.  相似文献

This paper provides a new structure in data envelopment analysis (DEA) for assessing the performance of decision making units (DMUs). It proposes a technique to estimate the DEA efficient frontier based on the Arash Method in a way different from the statistical inferences. The technique allows decisions in the target regions instead of points to benchmark DMUs without requiring any more information in the case of interval/fuzzy DEA methods. It suggests three efficiency indexes, called the lowest, technical and highest efficiency scores, for each DMU where small errors occur in both input and output components of the Farrell frontier, even if the data are accurate. These efficiency indexes provide a sensitivity index for each DMU and arrange both inefficient and technically efficient DMUs together while simultaneously detecting and benchmarking outliers. Two numerical examples depicted the validity of the proposed method.  相似文献

This paper presents the experimental works on the active control implementation of a flexibly mounted cylinder exhibiting vortex induced vibration phenomena. The dynamic response of the system was initially studied by fixing single and double passive control rods to the main cylinder. It was found that the fixed control rod could not suppress the vibration for both cases. In fact, the vibration was amplified as compared with the bare cylinder response. By retaining the same position, an active open loop control strategy was introduced to the vibrating system by rotating the single control rod in clockwise and counter clockwise directions. The results indicated that the counter clockwise direction has suppressed the vibration up to 29.81 dB. Further investigation was made by studying the performance of the control rod at several speeds in a single reduced speed of 4.29. It was found that the maximum attenuation level of 19.56 dB was attained based on 1676 RPM of control rod rotating speed. In addition, an overview of attenuation level trends at both varying control speed and reduced speed were presented in this study. Through the experimental implementation of control strategies conducted in this research, it was found that the active control strategy has performed well as suppression strategy at ineffective fixed control rod position.  相似文献

In this study, the properties of ion‐ and positron‐acoustic solitons are investigated in a magnetized multi‐component plasma system consisting of warm fluid ions, warm fluid positrons, q‐non‐extensive distributed positrons, q‐non‐extensive distributed electrons, and immobile dust particles. To drive the Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) equation, the reductive perturbation method is used. The effects of the ratio of the density of positrons to ions, the temperature of the positrons, and ions to electrons, the non‐extensivity parameters qe and qp , and the angle of the propagation of the wave with the magnetic field on the potential of ion‐ and positron‐acoustic solitons are also studied. The present investigation is applicable to solitons in fusion plasmas in the edge of tokamak.  相似文献

The oblique propagation of the quantum electrostatic solitary waves in magnetized relativistic quantum plasma is investigated using the quantum hydrodynamic equations. The plasma consists of dynamic relativistic degenerate electrons and positrons and a weakly relativistic ion beam. The Zakharov‐Kuznetsov equation is derived using the standard reductive perturbation technique that admits an obliquely propagating soliton solution. It is found that two types of quantum acoustic modes, that is, a slow acoustic mode and fast acoustic mode, could be propagated in our plasma model. The parameter that determines the nature of soliton, that is, compressive or rarefactive soliton, for slow mode is investigated. Our numerical results show that for the slow mode, the determining parameter is ion beam velocity in the case of relativistic degenerate electrons. We also have examined the effects of plasma parameters (like the beam velocity, the density ratio of positron to electron, the relativistic factor, and the propagation angle) on the characteristics of solitary waves.  相似文献

This paper demonstrates the use of a zinc oxide (ZnO) thin film in a 1-μm ring laser cavity as a saturable absorber to successfully generate Q-switching pulses. The tunability of the laser pulses is achieved by integrating a tunable bandpass filter (TBPF) in an ytterbium-doped laser cavity that results in 9.4 nm of tuning range, which wavelength is from 1040.70 nm to 1050.1 nm. The peak energy in the pulse which is 1.47 nJ was measured together with a minimum pulse width of 2.4 μs. In addition, the repetition rate increases from 25.77 to 45.94 kHz as the pump power level being increased from 103.1 to 175.1 mW. The results obtained in this experiment demonstrated consistent results and stable throughout the experiment. Therefore, ZnO thin film is considered as a good candidate in 1-μm pulsed laser applications.  相似文献

The mixed integer linear programming (MILP) models are proposed to estimate the performance of decision making units (DMUs) including both integer and real values in data envelopment analysis (DEA). There are several studies to propose MILPs in the literature of DEA; however, they have some major shortcomings unfortunately. This study firstly mentioned the shortcomings in the previous researches and secondly suggests a robust MILP based on the Kourosh and Arash Method (KAM). The proposed linear model, integer-KAM (IKAM), has almost all capabilities of the linear KAM and significantly removes the shortcomings in the current MILPs. For instance, IKAM benchmarks and ranks all technically efficient and inefficient DMUs at the same time. It detects outliers, and estimates the production frontier significantly. A numerical example of 39 Spanish airports with four integer inputs and three outputs including two integer values and a real value also represents the validity of the statements.  相似文献
