The complex anatomy of teeth limits the accessibility and efficacy of regenerative treatments. Therefore, the application of well-known inducers as injectable hydrogels for the regeneration of the dentin-pulp complex is considered a promising approach. In this regard, this study aimed to develop an injectable hydrogel containing mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA). The injectable chitosan/oxidized-nanocrystalline cellulose/MTA (CS/OCNC/MTA) hydrogels were prepared, and the physicochemical properties of these hydrogels were evaluated by TGA, FTIR, Rheological analysis, and SEM. Moreover, the effect of MTA on the swelling and degradability of scaffolds was assessed. The proliferative effects of synthesized hydrogels were also determined on human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) by MTT assay. For induction of differentiation and biomineralization in these cells, the alkaline phosphatase activity and Alizarin Red S staining tests were performed in the presence of fabricated scaffolds. The proliferation of hDPSCs was significantly increased in the presence of these hydrogels. Moreover, the addition of MTA to hydrogel structure dramatically improved the differentiation of hDPSCs. These results suggested that this novel injectable hydrogel provides appropriate physiochemical properties and can be considered a promising scaffold for regenerative endodontic procedures.

A new algorithm model-oriented for variable selection is presented in this study. It is based on the combination of genetic algorithms (GA) for hyperspace exploration, and counterpropagation artificial neural network (CP ANN) for deriving the fitness score. A flow injection (FI) method with flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) detection was developed for the determination and speciation of nitrite and nitrate in foodstuffs and wastewaters. The method is based on the oxidation of nitrite to nitrate using a manganese(IV) dioxide oxidant microcolumn where the flow of the sample through the microcolumn reduces the MnO2 solid phase reagent to Mn(II), which is measured by FAAS. The absorbance of Mn(II) are proportional to the concentration of nitrite in the samples. The injected sample volume was 400 μL with a sampling rate of analyses was 90 h−1 with a relative standard deviation better than 1.0% in a repeatability study. Nitrate is reduced to nitrite in proposed FI-FAAS system using a copperized cadmium microcolumn and analyzed as nitrite. The calibration curves were linear up to 20 mg L−1 and 30 mg L−1 with a detection limit of 0.07 mg L−1 and 0.14 mg L−1 for nitrite and nitrate, respectively. The results exhibit no interference from the presence of large amounts of ions. The method was successfully applied to the speciation of nitrite and nitrate in spiked natural water, wastewater and foodstuff samples. The precision and accuracy of the proposed method were comparable to those of the reference spectrophotometric method.  相似文献

A procedure was developed for the preconcentration and determination of aluminium and copper in dialysis concentrates at the ng cm–3 level. The preconcentration was achieved on microcolumns filled with Chelex-100 resin adjusted to a pH of 4.0. Five repetitive cycles of the sample through the column ensured a sufficient contact time for quantitative retention of aluminium and copper ions. The retained ions were eluted with HNO3 (0.5 mol dm–3). Aluminium and copper were determined in the eluate by Zeeman ETAAS using the standard addition technique. The procedure was performed under clean room conditions (class 10,000), The reliability of the results was evaluated by recovery tests, using dialysis concentrates spiked with aluminium and copper. The recoveries obtained ranged from 86 to 106% for aluminium and from 92 to 97% for copper. Using the recommended procedure, the LOD of aluminium and copper in dialysis concentrates (preconcentration factor 2) was found to be 0.5 ng cm–3 and 0.2 ng cm–3, respectively. In this work the calculated nuclear quadrupole coupling constants (NQCC; chi) of 17O in artemisinin and some of its derivatives and the effects of charge density due to the nature of ligands on NQCC of 17O were investigated. All calculations were performed at the HF/3-21G level using the Gaussian 98 program. The results show that the O-O linkage has a characteristic role in the antimalarial activity of artemisinin. In addition, various substitutions on C4 change the charge density on these oxygens and consequently change the pharmaceutical effect of artemisinin. Our results suggest that due to a larger charge density on O1, the heme iron approaches the endoperoxide moiety at the O1 position with preference to the O2 position.  相似文献

For the determination of glutathione (GSH) and its oxidized form (GSSG) in spruce needles their electrospray mass and MS/MS spectra were recorded with an ion trap mass spectrometer (ITMS, LCQ, Finnigan) and a triple stage quadrupole mass spectrometer (TSQ, Quattro II, Micromass). A study of the stability of GSH in aqueous solutions shows the presence of dimeric and trimeric forms of GSH, as well as GSSG, GSH-sulfonate and GSH-sulfinic acid. The same components were also found in extracts of spruce needles. We developed an assay which is suitable for monitoring low concentrations of GSH and similar compounds in plant tissues, employing the sensitivity and specificity of LC/MS/MS. Preliminary results on the mass spectrometric determination of GSH in spruce needles are given.  相似文献

We consider a characterization of proteomics maps based on an alternative kind of neighborhood graphs for the protein spots on 2-D gel. The novel approach considers for every protein spot only the nearest neighborhood consisting of protein spots of higher abundance. The approach has the simplicity and advantages of the recently introduced characterization of proteome maps based on considering the nearest neighborhoods of protein spots, but it also has important additional desirable computational features. The characterization of the nearest neighborhood graphs of 2-D gel proteomics maps is sensitive to the number of spots considered and may lead to changes in the degree of similarity of different maps when the number of points has been changed, thus imposing restrictions on the protocol used for comparison of maps. The novel approach presented in this work is less sensitive to the number of points used in the analysis because graphs are constructed in a stepwise process in which the role of more distant neighbors has been diminished by linking a new spot to the nearest spot that has been already part of the neighborhood graph. In this way a graph with N + 1 spots is obtained from the graph on N spots by adding a single new link, while in the case of the nearest neighborhood graphs adding a new spot introduces novel neighborhoods and generally results in a graph that may differ significantly from the neighborhood graph on N points.  相似文献

The effect of steric interactions on the regioselectivity of fluorination of para alkyl substituted phenols was investigated and the strong effect of size of the alkyl substituent, the structure of the F-N reagent and the solvent on the site of fluorination was established. The course of reaction obeyed a second order rate equation, while the fluorination process required higher ΔH activation than oxidation or oxidative demethylation. Solvent polarity variations had a small effect on the rate of functionalisation, while an excellent Hammett correlation with ρ+=−2.3 was determined.  相似文献
