Regioselective Reaction of N1-Benzyl-N2-(4-nitrophenyl)ethanediamide and Acetylenic Esters

The regioselective reaction of N¹-benzyl-N²-(4-nitrophenyl)ethanediamide with dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates or alkyl propiolates in the presence of triphenylphosphine leads to dialkyl 4-benzylamino-1-(4-nitrophenyl)-5-oxo-2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrole-2,3-dicarboxylates or alkyl 4-benzylamino-1-(4-nitrophenyl)-2-oxo-5-pyrrolidinecarboxylates in good yields.     

Conversion of Thiols to Disulfides Using a Hexamethylenetetramine-Bromine Complex

Hexamethylenetetramine-bromine complex, a yellow-orange, very stable homogeneous solid, affects a mild and fairly general conversion of thiols to disulfides.     

Reaction of benzoyl chlorides with Huisgen's zwitterion: synthesis of functionalized 2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrroles and tetrasubstituted furans

The 1:1 intermediate generated by the addition of alkyl(aryl) isocyanides to dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate is trapped by benzoyl chloride to yield functionalized 2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrroles. The presence of electron-withdrawing groups at the para position of benzoyl chloride leads to tetrasubstituted furans. The structures of these products were confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies.     

One‐Pot Synthesis of Pentaalkyl 7‐[(Alkylamino)carbonyl]‐2‐oxa‐1‐azabicyclo[3.2.0]hept‐3‐ene‐3,4,5,6,7‐pentacarboxylate

Dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates react with alkyl 2‐nitroethanoates in the presence of alkyl isocyanides in a one‐pot reaction to afford the title compounds in 78–90% yield.     

Evaluating and selecting the supplier in detergent production industry using hierarchical fuzzy TOPSIS

Supply chain management has increasingly attracted attention as a systematic approach to integrate the supply chain in order to planning and controlling the materials and information from suppliers to customers. One of the most important issues in supply chain management is selection of the appropriate supplier which has significant effect on purchasing cost decrease and increase in the organization’s competition ability. Selection of the best supplier is naturally complex with no definite structure, and dependent on the type of suppliers’ activity. In the process of decision making about suppliers and many qualitative and quantitative performance indicators such as quality, price, flexibility, and due date should be considered. Then, the supplier selection problem is a multi-criteria decision making problem where numerous methods have been proposed to solve this problem so far. In the current paper, four suppliers of imported raw material “Tripolyphosphate (TPP)” (primary material to produce the detergent powder with a case study in Iran) are evaluated based on 25 effective criteria using the hierarchical fuzzy TOPSIS (HFTOPSIS) approach.

A mild, convenient, and practical one-pot procedure for direct synthesis of N,N′-dialkyl-N″-dialkylaminocarbothioyl thioureas is described via three-component reaction of cyclic secondary amines, CS₂, and N,N′-dialkyl carbodiimides in water at room temperature.

An effective route to spiro-functionalized fused polycyclic derivatives of isoquinoline is described via tandem reaction of isoquinoline, dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates, and indane-1,3-dione.
