CCSD(T) study on the structures and chemical bonds of AnO molecules (An = Bk–Lr)

The molecular geometries and dissociation energies of AnO (An = Bk–Lr) molecules were first obtained at thecoupled-cluster single-, double-, and perturbative triple-excitations [CCSD(T)] level of theory. Four hybrid functionals,B3LYP, M06-2X, TPSSh, and PBE0, were also employed in the calculations for the sake of comparison. In comparison ofthe CCSD(T) results, B3LYP, TPSSh, and PBE0 functionals can obtain more appropriate results than M06-2X and MP2.The analyses on molecular orbitals show that the 7s, 6d, and 5f atomic orbitals of actinide (An) atoms participate in thebonding of An–O bonds. The partial covalent nature between An and O atoms is revealed by QTAIM analyses.     

Activation and Afterheat Calculation Analysis for TBM

Safety considerations of TBM are part of the design process to ensure that the TBM do not adversely affect the safety of ITER. So accurate calculations of all radioactivity and potential harmfulness are very important for designing of device, selecting of blanket and shield material, analyzing of the safety and environment, disposing of nuclear waste and operation of the reactor.     

Biochemical sensor based on a novel all-fibre cavity ring down spectroscopy technique incorporating a tilted fibre Bragg grating

A novel all-fibre cavity ring down spectroscopy technique is proposed where a tilt fibre Bragg grating (TFBG) or long-period grating (LPG) in the cavity provides sensitivity to surrounding medium. Such configuration with an LPG as the representative was theoretically analyzed. Two spectral bands were identified employable for sensing of surrounding refractive index for a weak LPG while only one band existed for a strong LPG. A TFBG, with enhanced sensitivity compared to usual LPGs, was used in a ring down cavity of 1 m constructed with 2 fibre Bragg gratings as the reflectors and the decay time changed from 220 to 450 ns when the TFBG was immersed into water from air.     

Real-time detection of DNA interactions with long-period fiber-grating-based biosensor

Using an optical biosensor based on a dual-peak long-period fiber grating, we have demonstrated the detection of interactions between biomolecules in real time. Silanization of the grating surface was successfully realized for the covalent immobilization of probe DNA, which was subsequently hybridized with the complementary target DNA sequence. It is interesting to note that the DNA biosensor was reusable after being stripped off the hybridized target DNA from the grating surface, demonstrating a function of multiple usability.     

Thermal conductivity of nanofluids and size distribution of nanoparticles by Monte Carlo simulations

Nanofluids, a class of solid–liquid suspensions, have received an increasing attention and studied intensively because of their anomalously high thermal conductivites at low nanoparticle concentration. Based on the fractal character of nanoparticles in nanofluids, the probability model for nanoparticle’s sizes and the effective thermal conductivity model are derived, in which the effect of the microconvection due to the Brownian motion of nanoparticles in the fluids is taken into account. The proposed model is expressed as a function of the thermal conductivities of the base fluid and the nanoparticles, the volume fraction, fractal dimension for particles, the size of nanoparticles, and the temperature, as well as random number. This model has the characters of both analytical and numerical solutions. The Monte Carlo simulations combined with the fractal geometry theory are performed. The predictions by the present Monte Carlo simulations are shown in good accord with the existing experimental data.     

聚变实验增殖堆FEB-E粒子抽除和抽气系统(英文)

ＦＥＢ－Ｅ的粒子抽除是通过偏滤器进行的。由４８ 个楔形气室模件环形组装而成的ＦＥＢ－Ｅ偏滤器，位于真空室的下部，与抽气系统和冷却系统相连。ＦＥＢ－Ｅ抽气系统有二个子系统：环粗抽系统和环高真空系统。环高真空系统是由一组处于真空室内１６ 个下部舱口内的低温泵和一组处于生物屏蔽层外的附加涡轮分子泵组成的。这些低温泵能提供的名义总抽速为５７６ｍ ３·ｓ－ １。在偏滤器高中性压力（＞ １Ｐａ）情况下，低温泵入口阀节流控制抽气粒子流。由于偏滤器抽气槽路以及偏滤器下侧通至真空室下部舱口的有限的通导能力，这些低温泵在偏滤器幽僻区域有效抽速为１６０ｍ ３·ｓ－ １。这意味着偏滤器幽僻区域的中性压力应在０．５－ １．０Ｐａ 范围内，以得到８０－ １６０Ｐａ·ｍ ３·ｓ－ １（在预期的偏滤器抽气槽路温度为４７３Ｋ时）范围内的抽气流量。低温泵每次在聚变实验增殖堆燃烧１０００ｓ 后受激运行     

在大学物理教学中培养学生的批判性思维能力--浅析开放性提问的作用

具有独立思考和批判性思维能力对于提高创新能力具有重要作用,但目前大学普通物理教学还侧重于知识的传授,缺少对学生批判性思维能力的培养和重视.本文从开放性提问的角度出发,阐述了如何在大学物理教学中培养学生独立思考的习惯和批判性思维的能力.文章举例分析了在科学历史、课程习题、演示实验和工程案例中挖掘开放性问题,通过以学为中心的课堂问答,激发学生学习热情和兴趣,增强课程的探索性和趣味性,从而达到提高学生批判思维能力的目的.     

Density Functional Study of Two Seven-Membered Unconventional Fullerenes C58F17CF3 and C58F18

The density functional method is used to study the structure, electronic properties, static linear polarizabilities, and optical absorption spectra of two seven‐membered unconventional fullerene derivatives C₅₈F₁₇CF₃ and C₅₈F₁₈. It is calculated that three sites chosen to locate the CF₃ are isoenergetic. The energy gaps of C₅₈F₁₈ and C₅₈F₁₇CF₃ are much larger than that of C₅₈, indicating the fluorination and trifluoromethylation of C₅₈ can remarkably enhance the kinetic stability. The density of states explore that the influence of CF₃ to the energy levels is mainly distributed in the energy range from ?10 to ?2 eV. However, when the CF₃ substitutes for F in C₅₈F₁₈, the bond lengths, energy gaps, static linear polarizabilities, and optical absorption spectra all show small variety.     

三苯胺-吡啶衍生物的三光子吸收及光限幅特性

合成了3个三苯胺-吡啶衍生物4-乙烯基吡啶-4'-(N,N-二苯胺基)苯(PPAB)、三[4-(4-吡啶乙烯基)苯]胺(TPPA)和4-(对-甲基-乙烯基吡啶碘盐)-4'-(N,N-二苯胺基)苯(PBPI),研究了它们的单光子荧光和三光子荧光性质.在1310nm飞秒激光激发下,化合物PPAB,PBPI and TPPA在二氯甲烷溶液中发出很强的三光子上转换荧光,荧光峰分别位于648,625,696nm.用飞秒Ti:Sapphire激光器非线性透过率法测得3个化合物在1310nm三光子吸收截面分别为1.91×10-79,3.46×10-79,3.64×10-79cm6·s2,它们具有很强的三光子吸收和光限幅效应.
