Sur les équations de Lane–Emden avec opérateurs non linéaires

In this Note we consider nonnegative solutions for the nonlinear equation

in $\text{R}{}^{\mathrm{N}}$, where $\text{M}{}^{\mathrm{+}}{}_{\mathrm{\lambda ,\Lambda }}\text{(D}{}^2\text{u)}$ is the so called Pucci operator

and the e_i are the eigenvalues of M et Λ?λ>0. We prove that if u satisfies the decreasing estimate

for some β satisfying (β?1)(p?1)>2+α then u is radial. In a second time we prove that if $\text{p<}\text{N+2α+2}\text{N?2}$ and u is a nonnegative radial solution of (1), u(x)=g(r), such that g″ changes sign at most once, then u is zero. Regularity and uniqueness of the first eigenfunction for singular fully nonlinear operators

For singular elliptic fully-nonlinear operators we prove that the eigenfunctions corresponding to the principal eigenvalues in bounded domains are simple. The proof uses in particular a regularity result obtained in the first part of the paper which is of independent interest.     

Concentration and energy invariance for a class of fully nonlinear elliptic equations

We study the asymptotic behavior of positive solutions of fully nonlinear elliptic equations in a ball, as the exponent of the power nonlinearity approaches a critical value. We show that solutions concentrate and blow up at the center of the ball, while a suitable associated energy remains invariant.     

Superharmonic functions in the Heisenberg group: estimates and Liouville theorems

We state some growth conditions on non negative superharmonic functions of the Heisenberg group in intrinsic cones and prove some non existence results for non negative D_H \Delta_H polyharmonic functions and L¹D_H L^1\Delta_H superharmonic functions.     

Una generalizzazione,per le serie,del metodo di sommazione di Nikola Obrechkoff nella teoria del prolungamento analitico

Sunto In questa Memoria viene posto un nuovo procedimento di sommazione, per ogni a raggio di convergenza ≠ 0, della serie Σ a_nzⁿ determinando il campo (includente il cerchio di convergenza) in cui è, essendo λ intero l'ordine di sommazione , uniformemente (p₁, p₂, ... ps_n sono tutti i numeri dispari positivi ≤ n; q₁, q₂, ... qr_n i numeri positivi pari ≤ n, con q₁=0). Questo campo di sommabilità tende per λ → ∞, ampliandosi, ad un campo limite che abbraccia completamente il campo limite a cui ampliandosi tende il campo di sommabilità, quando λ → ∞, relativo al metodo semplice di N. Obrechkoff; con questo ultimo si somma la ogni qualvolta è .     

Nuova trattazione di problemi al contorno di una striscia per l'equazione di Laplace in due variabili

A family of degenerate elliptic operators: Maximum principle and its consequences

In this paper we investigate the validity and the consequences of the maximum principle for degenerate elliptic operators whose higher order term is the sum of k eigenvalues of the Hessian. In particular we shed some light on some very unusual phenomena due to the degeneracy of the operator. We prove moreover Lipschitz regularity results and boundary estimates under convexity assumptions on the domain. As a consequence we obtain the existence of solutions of the Dirichlet problem and of principal eigenfunctions.     

Eigenfunctions for singular fully nonlinear equations in unbounded domains

In this paper, we prove the existence of a generalized eigenvalue and a corresponding eigenfunction for fully nonlinear elliptic operators singular or degenerate, homogeneous of degree 1+α, α > −1 in unbounded domains of IR ^N . The main tool will be Harnack’s inequality.
