A hybrid projective method for solving system of equilibrium problems with demicontractive mappings applicable in image restoration problems

In this paper, we propose a general iterative scheme based on CQ projection method for finding a common solution of system of equilibrium problems and the fixed point set of a finite family of demicontractive mappings. We also prove strong convergence of the scheme to a common element of the two above-described sets. We then give a numerical example to justify our main result. An example is given in an infinite dimensional space for supporting our main result. Moreover, we apply our main result to solve the unconstrained image restoration problems with a finite family of blurring operators. Our results extend and improve some existing results in the literature.     

Semi-micro preparation and characterization of mesoporous silica microspheres from rice husk sodium silicate using a non-ionic surfactant as a template: application in normal phase HPLC columns

A simple and low-cost process has been developed for the production of mesoporous silica microspheres using a non-ionic surfactant as a template in an aqueous acidic sodium silicate solution prepared from rice husk. The influences of synthesis parameters such as the sodium silicate concentration, hydrochloric acid concentration, temperature and aging time on the morphology and on particle size range are described. The product’s physical and normal phase chromatographic properties are reported.     

Numerical simulation of pressure-driven startup laminar flows through a planar T-junction channel

A start-up flow of a viscous incompressible fluid in a T-junction channel is studied numerically. The flow starting from rest is driven by a constant pressure drops suddenly applied between the entries and exits of a planar T-junction channel. The Navier-Stokes equations in primitive variables are solved numerically using finite-volume techniques. Predicted variations with time of the volume flow rates and the flow patterns are presented for several values of pressure drops. It has been shown that a start-up flow can pass through different regimes (or different flow direction) before asymptotically reaching steady state distribution.

Semi-Micro Preparation and Characterization of Bonded Phase ODS-Silica Prepared from Rice Husk Silica

Bonded phase ODS-silica has been prepared using purified silica prepared from rice husk by burning, reflux with sodium hydroxide solution and precipitation as a gel. The gel was spray dried, further purified by washing with concentrated hydrochloric acid then distilled water prior to vacuum drying and silanization and end-capping. The product’s physical and chromatographic properties are reported.
