Fluorine-containing α-hydrothionyl fluorides

A method has been found for the synthesis of fluoride-containing -hydrothionyl fluorides by heating polyfluoroalkenyl benzyl sulfides having fluoride atoms in the -position relative to the sulfur atom with fluorosulfonic acid. The reactions of the acid fluorides obtained with secondary amines were studied. The reaction of the -hydrotetrafluorothiopropionyl fluoride with NH(Me)₂ leads to the amide of the corresponding acid, while the product of -hydrohexafluorothioisobutyryl fluoride with diethylamine is the dimer of bis(trifluoromethyl)thioketene.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 8, pp. 1898–1901, August, 1990.     

Lipids from Five Cotton Varieties

Seed characteristics and the lipid and fatty-acid compositions were determined for the new cotton varieties ASh-25, Omad, 9771-I, Termez-43, and Bukhara-6.     

Furanose Bicyclophosphites as Synthons of Modified Nucleoside Diphosphates

Abstract

Previously we synthesized and examined in detail 1,2- alkylideneglucofuanose 3,5,6-bicyclophosphites; mono- and bicyclophosphates with peculiar chemical and physiological activity were obtained on their base [1]. During the study of their structural dependence, we modified the hydrocarbonic moiety, synthesiz-ed 1,2,3- and 3,5,6-bicyclophosphites and cyclophosphates of gulofuanose, and correlated their features with those of glucose analogues. Furthermore, an additional phosphonate moiety (obtained by a stereoselective reaction of an appropriate ketonic sugar with silylphosphites) was introduced into the glucofuranose 3,5,6-bicyclophosphite molecule to the third carbon atom. As a result, the monosaccharide matrix gained two functional groups containing tri- and fourcoordinated phosphorus.     

Chiral Oligo- and Polyphosphites (Phosphonites,Phosphinites) on the Base of Specifically Orientated in Space Hydroxylcontaining Compounds. Synthesis,Structure, and Investigation of Complexation

Abstract

The effective methods of phosphorylation of complex systems with specifically orientated in space hydroxyl groups, namely dianhydro-D-mannitol(A), -D-sor-bitol(B), cyclodextrines(C), and cellulose(D) (A-D, where R=H), have been elaborated.     

A method of recognition of blurred-edge objects

The problem of recognition of blurred-edge objects is discussed. An optimal algorithm for the recognition of such objects is proposed. The holographic filter realizing this algorithm can be formed with a spatially modulated reference wave by using the non-linear regime of the filter recording. The choice of the optimal filter recording regime was made by computer simulation of the holographic process.
