A simple solution combustion synthesis route for preparation of Cu-doped SrAl4O7 has been described. Average particle size of 33 nm and platelet-like morphology has been observed. ESR studies confirm the presence of Cu in polycrystalline SrAl4O7. Bright-green luminescence under near-UV irradiation arising due to transition between Cu+ levels with microsecond level decay time makes it suitable for application in phosphor converted light emitting diode (LED). TL measurements show broad glow peaks which when deconvoluted indicate activation energies in the range of 0.6-1.1 eV and elucidate the trapping dynamics. 相似文献

Fiber-reinforced aerogels are a class of reinforced aerogels characterized by very low thermal conductivity, hydrophobicity and most importantly load bearing capability. In this work, an experimental study describing the damage in these fiber-reinforced aerogels through various uniaxial compression tests is presented. While understanding the damage evolution at the micro-scale, we come across three probable sources contributing towards the damage evolution. In the traditional system of medicine in Sardinia, Rubia peregrina (RP) is reported as an aphrodisiac herb. Since aphrodisiacs may also have dopaminergic activity, and there can be a reciprocal relationship between dopaminergic and serotonergic functions in the central nervous system, the aim here was to study the effect of the ethanolic extract of the aerial parts of R. peregrina on monoamine-mediated behaviour. The RP (100 and 200?mg?kg(-1) intraperitoneally) significantly inhibited haloperidol (1?mg?kg(-1) i.p.) induced catalepsy in mice (p?0.01, dopamine-mediated response) lithium sulphate induced head twitches in rats (serotonin-mediated response) and was without effect on clonidine-induced hypothermia in rats (noradrenaline-mediated response). The study concludes that R. peregrina improves the dopaminergic function, diminishes the serotonin-mediated function and is devoid of any effect on the noradrenergic function. The study suggests that we should carry out further experiments to investigate the psychopharmacological profile of R. peregrina. 相似文献

A microscale cyclical electrical field flow fractionation (CyElFFF) channel is characterized with regard to the effect of various operating parameters and comparison made to recent theoretical developments. Challenges associated with various operating conditions are reported along with some of the optimized operating parameters. The effect of retention wall choice, an offset voltage, relaxation steps, and flow rates, along with the basic operating parameters of voltage, frequency, and electrophoretic mobility are reported. Retention of polystyrene nanoparticle standards is accomplished and the first separations using this technique in a microscale system are also demonstrated. Relaxation steps and offset voltages are found to be effective in eliminating early peaks and in improving plate heights. Plate heights were also found to decrease with increasing flow rates, which is the opposite of the behavior seen in most existing chromatographic systems. The experimental results are compared to the analytical and empirical models of CyElFFF and found to be compatible. Suggestions are made for improving the separation and analysis methods used with CyElFFF. 相似文献

In this paper, a constrained optimization problem is formulated to tune the limit cycle minimizing controllers meeting additional loop-shaping performances such as phase margin and gain crossover frequency. A graphical approach is proposed so as to determine the superior controller in terms of better limit-cycle suppression. The framework is illustrated with a suitable case of elementary servo plant which has separable static backlash nonlinearity in its model. For this plant, integer-order controllers and their fractional counterparts (PI and \( PI ^\alpha , [ PI ]^\alpha \) ; PID and \( PI ^\alpha D^\beta \) ) are designed and compared. Interestingly, it is found that the fractional controllers produce better limit-cycle responses than their integer counterparts while both meeting the rest of the specifications. Correspondingly, the better sustained oscillations in the plant output response are obtained with fractional controllers. Such a ‘fractional superiority’ is further verified with the closed-loop nonlinear simulation. 相似文献

Combustion method was used in this study to prepare BaAl2O4:Eu2+ phosphors co-doped with different trivalent rare-earths (Re3+=Dy3+, Nd3+, Gd3+, Sm3+, Ce3+, Er3+, Pr3+ and Tb3+) ions at an initiating temperature of 600 °C. The phosphors were annealed at 1000 °C for 3 h. As confirmed from the X-ray diffraction (XRD) data, both as prepared and post annealed samples crystallized in the well known hexagonal structure of BaAl2O4. All samples exhibited bluish-green emission associated with the 4f65d1→4f7 transitions of Eu2+ at ∼500 nm. Although the highest intensity was observed from Er3+ co-doping, the longest afterglow (due to trapping and detrapping of charge carriers) was observed from Nd3+ followed by Dy3+ co-doping. The traps responsible for the long afterglow were studied using thermoluminescence (TL) spectroscopy. 相似文献

In this study, red cathodoluminescence (CL) (λemission=614 nm) was observed from Pr3+ ions in a glassy (amorphous) SiO2 host. This emission was enhanced considerably when ZnO quantum dots (QDs) were incorporated in the SiO2:Pr3+ suggesting that the ZnO QDs transferred excitation energy to Pr3+ ions. That is, ZnO QDs acted to sensitize the Pr3+ emission. The sol–gel method was used to prepare ZnO–SiO2:Pr3+ phosphors with different molar ratios of Zn to Si. The effects of the ZnO QDs concentration and the possible mechanisms of energy transfer from ZnO to Pr3+ are discussed. In addition, the electronic states and the chemical composition of the ZnO–SiO2:Pr3+ phosphors were analyzed using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). 相似文献

Comparison of structural, morphological and spectroscopic properties of zinc vanadate Zn3(VO4)2 phosphor synthesized via two different methods, viz. citrate-gel combustion and hydrothermal reaction, is presented. Highly crystalline and pure phase micro-rods are achieved by citrate-gel combustion route. The hydrothermal reaction products exhibit ribbon like structures. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic investigation reveals the presence of multiple oxidation states of vanadium in the hydrothermally synthesized phosphor. Luminescence properties have also been compared and the effect of divalent cationic substitution (Ca, Mg) is presented. 相似文献
