Making use of the traditional Caputo derivative and the newly introduced Caputo-Fabrizio derivative with fractional order and no singular kernel, we extent the nonlinear Kaup-Kupershmidt to the span of fractional calculus. In the analysis, different methods of fixed-point theorem together with the concept of piccard L-stability are used, allowing us to present the existence and uniqueness of the exact solution to models with both versions of derivatives. Finally, we present techniques to perform some numerical simulations for both non-linear models and graphical simulations are provided for values of the order α = 1.00; 0.90. Solutions are shown to behave similarly to the standard well-known traveling wave solution of Kaup-Kupershmidt equation.  相似文献

This study investigates the (3+1)-dimensional soliton equation via the Hirota bilinear approach and symbolic computations. We successfully construct some new lump, lump-kink, breather wave, lump periodic, and some other new interaction solutions. All the reported solutions are verified by inserting them into the original equation with the help of the Wolfram Mathematica package. The solution's visual characteristics are graphically represented in order to shed more light on the results obtained. The findings obtained are useful in understanding the basic nonlinear fluid dynamic scenarios as well as the dynamics of computational physics and engineering sciences in the related nonlinear higher dimensional wave fields.  相似文献

The work presents an adaptation of iteration method for solving a class of thirst order partial nonlinear differential equation with mixed derivatives.The class of partial differential equations present here is not solvable with neither the method of Green function, the most usual iteration methods for instance variational iteration method, homotopy perturbation method and Adomian decomposition method, nor integral transform for instance Laplace,Sumudu, Fourier and Mellin transform. We presented the stability and convergence of the used method for solving this class of nonlinear chaotic equations.Using the proposed method, we obtained exact solutions to this kind of equations.  相似文献

When solute transport is advection‐dominated, the advection‐dispersion equation approximates to a hyperbolic‐type partial differential equation, and finite difference and finite element numerical approximation methods become prone to artificial oscillations. The upwind scheme serves to correct these responses to produce a more realistic solution. The upwind scheme is reviewed and then applied to the advection‐dispersion equation with local operators for the first‐order upwinding numerical approximation scheme. The traditional explicit and implicit schemes, as well as the Crank‐Nicolson scheme, are developed and analyzed for numerical stability to form a comparison base. Two new numerical approximation schemes are then proposed, namely, upwind–Crank‐Nicolson scheme, where only for the advection term is applied, and weighted upwind‐downwind scheme. These newly developed schemes are analyzed for numerical stability and compared to the traditional schemes. It was found that an upwind–Crank‐Nicolson scheme is appropriate if the Crank‐Nicolson scheme is only applied to the advection term of the advection‐dispersion equation. Furthermore, the proposed explicit weighted upwind‐downwind finite difference numerical scheme is an improvement on the traditional explicit first‐order upwind scheme, whereas the implicit weighted first‐order upwind‐downwind finite difference numerical scheme is stable under all assumptions when the appropriate weighting factor (θ) is assigned.  相似文献

By Cayley transformation, there is an interplay between matrix-valued Carathéodory and Schur functions in the unit disk. One of the main aims of the paper is to study this interplay with a view to the fact that the matrix function given by the values of a Carathéodory function via Moore–Penrose inverses is also a Carathéodory function. In doing so, we also analyze ranges and null spaces of the values of the matrix function in question and get some results of independence concerning the concretely chosen point of the domain.  相似文献

The parametric modulational instability for a discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equation with a cubic-quintic nonlinearity is analyzed. This model describes the dynamics of BECs, with both two- and three-body interatomic interactions trapped in an optical lattice. We identify and discuss the salient features of the three-body interaction in the parametric modulational instability. It is shown that the three-body interaction term can both, shift as well as narrow the window of parametric instability, and also change the behavior of a modulationally stable and parametrically unstable BEC with attractive two-body interaction. We explore this instability through the multiple-scale analysis and identify it numerically. The effect of the three body losses have also been investigated.  相似文献

We consider a slab waveguide made of a material with negative permeability and negative permittivity, the surrounding medium is conventional. By using the dispersion relation, we show the dispersion curves from the variation of the core width and other physical parameters. The associated energy flow for several thicknesses of the nonlinear layer waveguide is presented. We discuss possible new types of modes that can occur. It is found that the dispersion curves and the energy flow can be controlled by varying the thickness of the guide, the filling factor and the effective plasma frequency. A numerical simulation is done to well illustrate.  相似文献

We address the problem of characterization of light pulses that propagate in long-haul high-bit-rate optical communication systems, under strongly perturbed conditions. We show that the conventional technique for characterization of the phase and intensity profile of such pulses becomes qualitatively inconsistent when the pulse’s profile is asymmetrically distorted with respect to its center-of-mass. We resolve these inconsistencies by partially reformulating the conventional technique by means of appropriate pulse parameters, which we call upgraded parameters, which allow a fair characterization of the intensity and phase of all types of light pulses, including those which are asymmetrically distorted. We illustrate the effectiveness of the upgraded parameters by applying them to a meticulous characterization of light pulses in a dispersion-managed optical fiber system in which third-order dispersion is acting as a strong perturbation.  相似文献
