The resistive response of atomic layer deposited thin epitaxial α-Cr2O3(0 0 1) films, to H2 and CO in air, was studied. The films were covered with Pt nanoislands formed by electron-beam evaporation of a sub-monolayer amount of the material. The gas measurements were performed at 250°C and 450°C. These temperatures led to different proportion of chemical states, Pt2+ and Pt4+, to which the Pt oxidized. The modification was ascertained by the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy method. As a result of the modification, the response was fast at 250°C, but slowed at 450°C. A disadvantageous abundance of Pt4+ arising at 450°C in air could be diminished by high-vacuum annealing thus restoring the response properties of the system at 250°C.   相似文献

The nature of surface silanols is reviewed and their influence on retention of basic solutes in reversed phase chromatography is demonstrated and evaluated. The influence of the type of organic modifier and/or pH of buffer on retention of basic analytes with silica based RP columns is evaluated, and means for characterization of RP columns are discussed. Attempts are described to determine the surface silanol concentration of RP columns by chromatographic methods. Surprisingly the experimentally measured silanol concentrations with bare silica and with RP are by one order of magnitude lower than discussed in literature. At pH 7.6 values of 0.12 µmol m?2 have been measured for benzylamine with RP columns, corresponding to about 43% of the measurable silanols of plain silica. The break-through curves of amines let suggest that even at low pH values unprotonated species are present within the pores of the RP stationary phases and their interaction with the bonded alkyl groups contribute to retention.  相似文献

We demonstrate a new approach to coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) microscopy that significantly increases the detection sensitivity. CARS signals are generated by collinearly overlapped, tightly focused, and raster scanned pump and Stokes laser beams, whose difference frequency is rapidly modulated. The resulting amplitude modulation of the CARS signal is detected through a lock-in amplifier. This scheme efficiently suppresses the nonresonant background and allows for the detection of far fewer vibrational oscillators than possible through existing CARS microscopy methods.  相似文献

A nonlinear dielectric effect, and the calculated correlation factors R p and R s are reported for binary solutions of tert-nitrobutane and tert-butylnitrile in hexane and benzene. The results are discussed in terms of the three main mechanism: association of polar molecules, fluctuations in concentration and density, and intermolecular processes due to a strong electric field. The dipolar part of the cohesion energy is also accounted for.  相似文献

We have recorded the vibrational absorption spectrum of 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (HFC-134a) in the fundamental and first five CH-stretching overtone regions with the use of Fourier transform infrared, dispersive long-path, intracavity laser photoacoustic, and cavity ringdown spectroscopies. We compare our measured total oscillator strengths in each region with intensities calculated using an anharmonic oscillator local mode model. We calculate intensities with 1D, 2D, and 3D Hamiltonians, including one or two CH stretches and two CH stretches with the HCH bending mode, respectively. The dipole moment function is calculated ab initio with self-consistent-field Hartree-Fock and density functional theories combined with double- and triple-zeta-quality basis sets. We find that the basis set choice affects the total intensity more than the choice of the Hamiltonian. We achieve agreement between the calculated and measured total intensities of approximately a factor of 2 or better for the fundamental and first five overtones.  相似文献
