Pion pair production in photon-photon collisions

The process γγ→π⁺π^? was measured using the detector MD-1 at VEPP-4. The two-photon reactionse ⁺ e ^?, μ⁺ μ^? and π⁺ π^? pair production were separated using scintillation counters, Cherenkov counters and shower-range chambers. A radiation widthГ _γγ(f ₂(1270))=3.1±0.35±0.35 keV was obtained.     

The Z0-boson contribution to the elastic scattering amplitude of an electron in a plane-wave field

Amplitude of Elastic Photon Scattering in Scalar Electrodynamics

In the present paper, the probability of creating pairs of scalar particles in an arbitrary plane electromagnetic wave field is calculated. The amplitude of elastic photon scattering in the field of an arbitrary plane electromagnetic wave is calculated by the method of dispersion relations. Special cases of the plane electromagnetic wave field are examined.     

A study of the photocatalytic activity of titanium dioxide nanopowders

Photodestruction and adsorption of dyes in aqueous suspensions of nanopowders of titanium dioxide of anatase modification was studied. The photocatalytic activity of titanium dioxide nanopowders was examined in relation to the dispersity of particles and pH of the medium.     

Characteristics of thermally stimulated depolarization phenomena in zinc-oxide ceramics for varistors

The results of experimental investigations and an analysis of the temperature dependences of the thermally stimulated depolarization current are presented for zinc-oxide ceramics suitable for use in high-voltage varistors. A model for the depolarization phenomena is proposed that takes into account charge exchange on localized electronic states on both sides of the intercrystallite potential barrier. The model is used to obtain estimates of the ionization energy and density of shallow (∼0.07 eV, 1×10¹⁷ cm⁻³) and deeper (∼0.2 eV, 1×10¹⁸ cm⁻³) bulk levels and surface-localized levels (∼0.1 eV, 1×10¹³ cm⁻²). N,N'-Bis(vinyloxyalkyl) Dicarboxamides

N,N'-Bis(vinyloxyalkyl)oxamides and N,N'-bis(vinyloxyalkyl)phthalamides were synthesized in 60-95% yield by reactions of vinyloxyalkylamines with diethyl oxalate and phthalimide, respectively.     

Reaction of vinyloxyalkylamines with mercaptoacetic acid

N-[2(3)-Hydroxyalkylj-4-thiazolidinones have been synthesized by the reaction of 2(3)-vinyloxyalkylamines with mercaptoacetic acid in 24–69 % yield.
