A quasi-isochronous vibroimpact system is considered, i.e. a linear system with a rigid one-sided barrier, which is slightly offset from the system's static equilibrium position. The system is excited by a sinusoidal force with disorder, or random phase modulation. The mean excitation frequency corresponds to a simple or subharmonic resonance, i.e. the value of its ratio to the natural frequency of the system without a barrier is close to some even integer. Influence of white-noise fluctuations of the instantaneous excitation frequency around its mean on the response is studied in this paper. The analysis is based on a special Zhuravlev transformation, which reduces the system to one without impacts, or velocity jumps, thereby permitting the application of asymptotic averaging over the period for slowly varying inphase and quadrature responses. The averaged stochastic equations are solved exactly by the method of moments for the mean square response amplitude for the case of zero offset. A perturbation-based moment closure scheme is proposed for the case of nonzero offset and small random variations of amplitude. Therefore, the analytical results may be expected to be adequate for small values of excitation/system bandwidth ratio or for small intensities of the excitation frequency variations. However, at very large values of the parameter the results are approaching those predicted by a stochastic averaging method. Moreover, Monte-Carlo simulation has shown the moment closure results to be sufficiently accurate in general for any arbitrary bandwidth ratio. The basic conclusion, both of analytical and numerical simulation studies, is a sort of smearing of the amplitude frequency response curves owing to disorder, or random phase modulation: peak amplitudes may be strongly reduced, whereas somewhat increased response may be expected at large detunings, where response amplitudes to perfectly periodic excitation are relatively small.  相似文献

An analytical solution, using the Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov equation, is obtained for the problem of response of a non-linearly damped oscillator to combined periodic parametric and random external excitation. The solution yields first-order probability densities of amplitude and phase. These expressions are employed to distinguish between oscillations excited by external and parametric periodic forces in the presence of additional broadband random external excitation. Through decoupling of fast and slow motions an approximate expression is obtained for expected value of time to phase “switch”.  相似文献

A simple Jeffcott rotor is considered with broadband temporal random variations of internal damping which are described using the theory of Markov processes. Transverse response of the rotor with stiffening nonlinearity either in external damping or in restoring force is studied by stochastic averaging method. This method reduces the problems to stochastic differential equations (SDEs) for which analytical solutions are obtained for the Fokker–Planck–Kolmogorov (FPK) equations for stationary probability density functions (PDFs) of the squared whirl radius of the shaft. These PDFs do exist beyond the dynamic instability threshold and they correspond to forward whirl of the rotor. At rotation speeds just slightly above the instability threshold, the response PDF has integrable singularity at zero which corresponds to intermittency in the response.  相似文献

A single-mass two-degrees-of-freedom system is considered, witha radially oriented nonlinear restoring force. The latter is smooth andbecomes infinite at a certain value of a radial displacement. Stabilityanalysis is made for planar oscillation, or motion along a givendirection. As long as this motion is periodic, the nonlinearity in therestoring force provides a periodic parametric excitation in thetransverse direction. The linearized stability analysis is reduced tostudy of the Mathieu equation for the (infinitesimal) motions in thetransverse direction. For the case of free oscillations in the givendirection an exact solution is obtained, since a specific analyticalform is used for the (strongly nonlinear) restoring force, which permitsexplicit integration of the equation of motion. Stability of the planarmotion in this case is shown to be very sensitive to even slightdeviations from polar symmetry in the restoring force (as well as to theamplitude of oscillations in the given direction). Numerical integrationof the original equations of motion shows the resulting motion to be awhirling type indeed in case of the transversal instability. For thecase of a sinusoidal forcing in the given direction solution for the(periodic) response is obtained by Krylov–Bogoliubov averaging. Thisresults in the transmitted Ince–Strutt chart – namely, stabilitychart for transverse direction on the amplitude-frequency plane of theexcitation in the original direction.  相似文献

A second order system with external and parametric perturbations of the white noise type is considered. An exact analytic solution of the steady Fokker—Plank —Kolmogorov equation is obtained for this system at some special relation between the coefficients of modulation intensity with respect to the coordinate and velocity. The solution determines the power relationship for the combined probability density of the coordinate and velocity.  相似文献

Pseudolinear vibroimpact systems: Non-white random excitation   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Response analyses of vibroimpact systems to random excitation are greatly facilitated by using certain piecewise-linear transformations of state variables, which reduce the impact-type nonlinearities (with velocity jumps) to nonlinearities of the common type — without velocity jumps. This reduction permitted to obtain certain exact and approximate asymptotic solutions for stationary probability densities of the response for random vibration problems with white-noise excitation. Moreover, if a linear system with a single barrier has its static equilibrium position exactly at the barrier, then the transformed equation of free vibration is found to be perfectly linear in case of the elastic impact. The transformed excitation term contains a signature-type nonlinearity, which is found to be of no importance in case of a white-noise random excitation. Thus, an exact solution for the response spectral density had been obtained previously for such a vibroimpact system, which may be called pseudolinear, for the case of a white-noise excitation. This paper presents analysis of a lightly damped pseudolinear SDOF vibroimpact system under a non-white random excitation. Solution is based on Fourier series expansion of a signum function for narrow-band response. Formulae for mean square response are obtained for resonant case, where the (narrow-band) response is predominantly with frequencies, close to the system's natural frequency; and for non-resonant case, where frequencies of the narrow-band excitation dominate the response. The results obtained may be applied directly for studying response of moored bodies to ocean wave loading, and may also be used for establishing and verifying procedures for approximate analysis of general vibroimpact systems.  相似文献

A single-degree-of-freedom system with a special type of non-linear damping and both external and parametric white-noise excitations is considered. For the special case, when the intensities of coordinates and velocity modulation satisfy a certain condition an exact analytical solution is obtained to the corresponding stationary Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov equation yielding an expression for joint probability density of coordinate and velocity. This solution is analyzed particularly in connection with stochastic stability problem for the corresponding linear system; certain implications are illustrated for the system, which is stable with respect to probability but unstable in the mean square. The solution obtained may be used to check different approximate methods for analysis of systems with randomly varying parameters.  相似文献
