The paper considers the problem of onesided frictionless compression of plane elastic bodies that are initially in contact with each other at a point. The first terms of an asymptotic solution of the problem are constructed by the method of joined asymptotic expansions. Determination of the approach of the bodies as a function of the pressing force reduces to calculating socalled of local compliance. The problems of contact of an elastic ring and elastic circular disks with punches and an elastic disk compressed between two elastic strips are considered. An asymptotic model for the quasistatic collision of plane elastic bodies is proposed.  相似文献

A three-dimensional unilateral contact problem for thin viscoelastic layers bonded to rigid substrates shaped like elliptic paraboloids is considered. Two cases are studied: (a) Poisson’s ratios of the layer materials are not very close to 0.5 and (b) the layer materials are incompressible with Poisson’s ratio of 0.5. Poisson’s ratios are assumed to be time independent. In the present paper we derive the general solutions to the problems of elliptical contact between thin compressible or incompressible layers of arbitrary viscoelastic materials. The approach is based on the analytical method developed by the authors for the elliptical contact of thin biphasic cartilage layers. The obtained analytical solution is valid for monotonically increasing loading conditions.  相似文献

On the Iwan models for lap-type bolted joints   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
The paper presents mathematical modeling of the non-linear constitutive relation for bolted joints in the framework of the Kragelsky-Demkin theory of rough contact. It is shown that this approach, which maintains the tribology-related features of bolted joint interfaces, leads to a singular Iwan distribution density. In particular, we show that the Iwan density is expressed in terms of the height distribution density of the surface asperities, whereas its singular exponent is determined by the shape exponent of the surface asperities. Following this, constitutive relations for lap joints and the corresponding backbone (force-deflection) curves are obtained. Finally, Masing's hypothesis is applied and Goodman's relation for energy dissipation is recovered in order to describe the effects of cyclic loading. The two cases of a rough surface in contact with a flat surface and of two contacting rough surfaces are treated separately.  相似文献

The impact of a rigid sphere on a homogeneous, isotropic elastic half-space in the absence of friction and adhesion is considered. The influence of the superseismic stage immediately following the moment of first contact upon the impact process is investigated in the frame of the Hertzian impact theory. The first order asymptotic approximation for the contact force in a three-dimensional dynamic contact problem with the slowly moving contact zone boundary is obtained and the corresponding asymptotic model of impact is developed. The motion of the indenter as it indents and rebounds from the elastic medium is analytically described. Explicit formulas are derived for the peak indentation depth, contact time, and rebound velocity as functions of the initial impact velocity, indenter mass, and characteristics of the elastic half-space.  相似文献

In the framework of the recently developed asymptotic models for tibio-femoral contact incorporating frictionless elliptical contact interaction between thin elastic, viscoelastic, or biphasic cartilage layers, we apply an asymptotic modeling approach for analytical evaluating the sensitivity of crucial parameters in joint contact mechanics due to small variations in the thicknesses of the contacting cartilage layers. The four term asymptotic expansion for the normal displacement at the contact surface is explicitly derived, which recovers the corresponding solution obtained previously for the 2D case in the compressible case. It was found that to minimize the influence of the cartilage thickness non-uniformity on the force–displacement relationship, the effective thicknesses of articular layers should be determined from a special optimization criterion.  相似文献

A large amplitude oscillatory shear (LAOS) is considered in the strain-controlled regime, and the interrelation between the Fourier transform and the stress decomposition approaches is established. Several definitions of the generalized storage and loss moduli are examined in a unified conceptual scheme based on the Lissajous–Bowditch plots. An illustrative example of evaluating the generalized moduli from a LAOS flow is given.  相似文献

A unilateral axisymmetric contact problem for a biphasic cartilage layer indented by a rigid punch is considered. The refined linearized kinetic relationship which takes into account both the radial and tangential displacements of the boundary points of the biphasis cartilage layer is imposed. The obtained analytical solution is valid over long-time periods and can be used for increasing loading conditions. It can be used as it is and as a benchmark for verification of FEM model accuracy.  相似文献

An asymptotic solution is obtained to the contact problem of a band-like punch acting upon an elastic half-space. The method of joined asymptotic expansions is used. The results of numerical calculations are presented. The efficiency of the approach is tested by comparing it with another method  相似文献
