Strategies for synthesizing non-bioaccumulable alternatives to PFOA and PFOS

This minireview describes the strategies for synthesis of fiuorinated surfactants potentially nonbioaccumulable.Various strategies have been focused on(Ⅰ) reducing the length of the perfluorocarbon chain,(Ⅱ) introducing hetero atoms into the fluorocarbon chain,(Ⅲ) introducing branch(herein and after branch means the fluoro-carbon chain section is not straight).In most cases,the surface tensions versus the surfactant concentrations have been assessed.These above strategies led to various highly fiuorinated(perfluorinated or not perfluorinated) surfactants whose chemical changes enabled to obtain novel alternatives to perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulphonate(PFOS).     

Effects of structure and electronic properties of D-π-A organic dyes on photovoltaic performance of dye-sensitized solar cells

Herein,we examine the performance of dye-sensitized solar cells containing five D-π-A organic dyes designed by systematic modification of π-bridge size and geometric structure.Each dye has a simple push-pull structure with a triarylamino group as an electron donor,bithiophene-4,4-dimethyl-4 H-cyclopenta 1,2-b:5,4-b’]dithiophene(M11),4,4-dimethyl-4 H-cyclopenta[1,2-b:5,4-b’]dithiophenethiophene(M12),thiophene-4,4-dimethyl-4 H-cyclopenta[1,2-b:5,4-b’]dithiophene(M13),4,4-dimethyl-4 H-cyclopenta[1,2-b:5,4-b’]dithiophene-benzene(M14),and 4,4-dimethyl-4 H-cyclopenta[1,2-b:5,4-b’]dithiophene(M15)units asπ-bridges,and cyanoacrylic acid as an electron acceptor/anchor.The extension of theπ-bridge linkage favors wide-range absorption but,because of the concomitant molecular volume increase,hinders the efficient adsorption of dyes on the TiO₂ film surface.Hence,higher loadings are achieved for smaller dye molecules,resulting in(i)a shift of the TiO₂ conduction band edge to more negative values,(ii)a greater photocurrent,and(iii)suppressed charge recombination between the photoanode and the redox couple in the electrolyte.Consequently,under one-sun equivalent illumination(AM 1.5 G,100 mW/cm²),the highest photovoltage,photocurrent,and conversion efficiency(η=7.19%)are observed for M15,which has the smallest molecular volume among M series dyes.     

Graphene-nickel nitride hybrids supporting palladium nanoparticles for enhanced ethanol electrooxidation

Electrocatalysts for ethanol oxidation reaction(EOR)are generally limited by their poor durability because of the catalyst poisoning induced by the reaction intermediate carbon monoxide(CO).Therefore,the rapid oxidation removal of CO intermediates is crucial to the durability of EOR-based catalysts.Herein,in order to effectively avoiding the catalyst CO poisoning and improve the durability,the graphene-nickel nitride hybrids(AG-Ni₃N)were designed for supporting palladium nanoparticles(Pd/AG-Ni₃N)and then used for ethanol electrooxidation.The density functional theory(DFT)calculations demonstrated the introduction of AG-Ni₃N depresses the CO absorption and simultaneously promotes the adsorption of OH species for CO oxidation removal.The fabricated Pd/AG-Ni₃N catalyst distinctively exhibits excellent electroactivity with the mass catalytic activity of 3499.5 m A mg^-1 on EOR in alkaline media,which is around 5.24 times higher than Pd/C(commercial catalyst).Notably,the Pd/AG-Ni₃N hybrids display excellent stability and durability after chronoamperometric measurements with a total operation time of 150,000 s.

Indriect Determination of CTMAB with Sodium Chloride and Ammonium Thiocyanate by Floatation and Separation of Zine

A new method for indirect determination of cetyl-trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTMAB) with NaCl and NH4SCH by floatation and separation of zinc has been studied.The study shows that Zn(Ⅱ） can associate with NH4SCN and CTMAB to form insoluble ternary ion-association complex,and the precipitate can float on the surface of the liquid phase.A good linear relationship is observed between the floatation yield(E%) of Zn(Ⅱ） and the amount of CTMAB.On the ground,CTMAB Can be indirectly determined by determining E% of Zn(Ⅱ）.The results were satisfactory.     

Studies on Structure and Porperties of Water Soluble Polysaccharide from Fruiting Body of Cordyceps Militarvs(L.) Link

A water soluble crude polysaccharide has been isolated from the fruiting body of cultivated Cordyceps militarvs(L.)Link.The GC analysis indicated that it contained the monosaccharides of Gal,Man,Glc and GlcA.Their molar ratio is 1.00:1.58:7.89:0.19.The crude polysaccharide was fractionated with ethanol to get three fractions,which were CM-Ⅰand CM-Ⅲ,CM-Ⅱ was further purified to get one homogeneous fraction named CMB.The molecular weight was estimated to be 6000by means of gel filtration.CMB is a greyish white powder.The GC analysis indicated that it was composed of Gal.Man,Glc and the molar ratio is 1.00:1.38:5.10.Partial hydrolysis with an acid.periodate oxidation.Smith degradation.IR,GC and methylation analyses,GC/MS analyses were used for the structure analyses of CMB.Man,(1→6)-linked-Glc,(1→4)-linked-Glc and (1→4)-linked-Gal.Some of (1→4) -linked-Glc and all(1→4)-linked-Gal residues are substituted at 3-O and 6-O respectively,(1→4)-linked-Glc and minor(1→6)-linked-Gle.The nonreduced end is composed of Gal and Glc.The main glycosidic link of CMB is α configuration.     

氧氟沙星和左氟沙星与人血清白蛋白的相互作用研究

用光谱技术研究了水溶液中氧氟沙星(OFLX)和左氟沙星(LVFX)与人血清白蛋白相互作用的机制.荧光猝灭法测得的结果表明反应的结合常数为KOFLX＝0.482×105L@mol-1,KLVFX=0.529×105L@mol-1,结合位点数nOFLX＝0.72,nLVFX=0.74.按照Fōorster非辐射能量转移理论得到药物-蛋白之间的结合距离分别为rOFLX=2.94nm,nVFX=2.85 nm.实验结果说明OFLX与LVFX在体内与蛋白结合直到运输到受体部位这一环节基本相同.

Dimensional Properties of Fractional Brownian Motion

Let B^α = {B^α（t）,t E R^N} be an （N,d）-fractional Brownian motion with Hurst index α∈ （0, 1）. By applying the strong local nondeterminism of B^α, we prove certain forms of uniform Hausdorff dimension results for the images of B^α when N 〉 αd. Our results extend those of Kaufman for one-dimensional Brownian motion.
