Electrochemical Recovery of Silver from Lead Alloys in Chloride Melts

Electrochemical separation of lead-silver alloys into the constituents by thin-layer electrolysis in molten electrolytes, with bismuth as metal separator, is studied. It is proposed to determine the extent of component recovery by potentiometry.     

Reaction of Corundum with a Molten Mixture of Potassium and Sodium Tetrafluoroborates

Dissolution of synthetic corundum in KBF₄-NaBF₄ melts was studied as influenced by the composition of the salt mixture and temperature. The optimal parameters of the process for removal of synthetic corundum rods from internal channels of castings were determined.     

Processing of wastes from manufacture of cut diamonds

Test experiments on recovery and purification of diamonds in melts based on alkali metal hydroxides and ammonium hydrofluoride were carried out. Interaction of graphite with hydroxide-salt melts

The mechanism and kinetics of graphite dissolution in melts based on sodium hydroxide were studied. The effect of various salt additives on the intensity of the occurring reactions is considered. A method recommended for removal of graphite in the form of remainders of molds and mold cores from titanium casts is described.     

Electrochemical Separation of Multicomponent Tin-based Alloys in Salt Melts

The results obtained in a study of the electrochemical separation of multicomponent tin-based alloys in salt melts are presented. The influence exerted by electrolysis conditions on the discharge at the auxiliary electrode of a number of metals accompanying lead and tin was determined.     

Refining of Lead To Give Bismuth-Enriched Drosses

The results obtained in testing an improved technique for reagent refining of crude lead, which yields bismuth-enriched drosses in the form of a powder, are presented. The advantages of the method put into industrial practice are described.     

Pyrochemical processing of tungsten- and cobalt-containing raw materials

A method for processing of secondary tungsten- and cobalt-containing materials is suggested. Cathodic Deposition of Copper-Indium Alloy from Trilonate-Tartrate Electrolyte

The results obtained in studying the deposition of copper-indium alloys from a trilonate-tartrate electrolyte are presented. The conditions for joint discharge of copper and indium ions, the optimal composition of the electrolyte, and the electrolysis mode ensuring deposition of protective and decorative gold-colored coatings are determined.
