The experiments were conducted with triangular and pin fin array at constant heat flux. Nu is determined as a function of Remax at Pr=0.7 for both sets of experiments. For each fin array, an equation is obtained to determine Nu as a function of Remax using experimental results. These regressions are accurate within the accuracy of the measurements (±15) at Remax ranging between 100 and 700. Received on 22 December 1997  相似文献

In the fabrication of phase change random access memory(PRAM) devices, high temperature thermal processes are inevitable. We investigate the thermal stability of Ge2Sb2Te5(GST) which is a prototypical phase change material. After high temperature process, voids of phase change material exist at the interface between Ge2Sb2Te5 and substrate in the initial open memory cell. This lower region of Ge2Sb2Te5 is found to be a Te-rich phase change layer. Phase change memory devices are fabricated in different process conditions and examined by scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray. It is found that hot-chuck process, nitrogen-doping process, and lower temperature inter-metal dielectric(IMD) deposition process can ease the thermal impact of line-GST PRAM cell.  相似文献

This paper considers the boundary control problem of the generalized Korteweg–de Vries–Burgers (GKdVB) equation on the interval [0, 1]. We derive a control law of the form and α is a positive integer, and prove that it guarantees L 2-global exponential stability, H 1-global asymptotic stability, and H 1-semiglobal exponential stability. Numerical results supporting the analytical ones for both the controlled and uncontrolled equations are presented using a finite element method.  相似文献

A solar humidifier unit used for humidification of an air conditioning system is presented. A Runge–Kutta procedure of fifth order has been used to solve the governing equations. Solar energy data as well as ambient temperature data for one hot summer day were used in calculation the inside temperature of the humidifier as well as other parameters to determine the effective use of the solar humidifier. The results obtained are promising to corporate it with an A/C system. The amount of vapor produced reaches a maximum value at the time when the ambient temperature reaches also a maximum value and the relative humidity reaches a minimum values. Nusselt number is presented as a function of Reynolds number and Prandtl number (Pr) for a laminar flow about a non- rotating and rotating sphere. The sphere rotation is expressed in terms of Taylor number. Pr is ranging between 0.7 and 0.2. This study considered a 2D numerical simulation with LES modeling of a sinusoidal oscillatory flow inline with an imposed uniform flow using primitive variables. The study is performed by a customized code particularly built for this simulation. This code allows an easy implementation to a customized combination of different boundary conditions and discretization schemes. The code is verified against well-recognized studies of a similar type to validate the calculated results. It is found that the drag and inertia coefficients of the wavy flow are reduced with the increased strength of the imposed uniform flow. A strong chaotic behavior was observed in the flow field structures. This behavior has a significant unpredictable influence on the resulting inline and transverse forces through the flow field pattern within the vicinity of the cylinder surface. This influence sometimes causes the exerted forces to increase when compared to the purely wavy flow. Based on this study, it is highly recommended not to uncouple wavy flows from uniform flows to simultaneously capture the combined interactions of such flow scenarios.  相似文献

We consider the inverse problem of reconstructing the initial condition of a one-dimensional time-fractional diffusion equation from measurements collected at a single interior location over a finite time-interval. The method relies on the eigenfunction expansion of the forward solution in conjunction with a Tikhonov regularization scheme to control the instability inherent in the problem. We show that the inverse problem has a unique solution provided exact data is given, and prove stability results regarding the regularized solution. Numerical realization of the method and illustrations using a finite-element discretization are given at the end of this paper.  相似文献
