Abstract The s-cis-[Cr(S,S-eddp)L]− complexes (S,S-eddp = S,S-ethylenediamine-N,N′-di-2-propionate ion; L = oxalate or malonate ions) were prepared. The complexes were purified by ion-exchange chromatography.
The geometry of the complexes has been supposed on the basis of the electronic absorption spectra, and the absolute configurations
of the isolated s-cis-[Cr(S,S-eddp)L]− complexes have been predicted on the basis of their circular dichroism (CD) spectra and confirmed by X-ray analysis of the
crystal structure of the Δ-(–)589-s-cis-K[Cr(S,S-eddp)(ox)] 0.5H2O complex.

In this work, we describe an optimized procedure based on gradual hemolysis for the isolation of hemoglobin derived from bovine
slaughterhouse erythrocytes in a membrane bioreactor. The membrane bioreactor system that provided high yields of hemoglobin
(mainly oxyhemoglobin derivate) and its separation from the empty erythrocyte membranes (ghosts) was designed at a pilot scale.
Ten different concentrations of hypotonic media were assessed from the aspect of the extent of hemolysis, hematocrit values
of the erythrocyte suspensions, cell swelling, and membrane deformations induced by decreased salt concentration. Effective
gradual osmotic hemolysis with an extent of hemolysis of 88% was performed using 35 mM Na-phosphate/NaCl buffer of pH 7.2–7.4.
Under these conditions most of the cell membranes presented the appearance of the normal ghosts under phase contrast microscope.
The hemoglobin purity of >80% was confirmed by SDS-PAGE. Kinetic studies showed that maximal concentration of hemoglobin was
reached after 40 min, but the process cycle at which recovery of 83% was achieved lasted for 90 min. The dynamics of both
steps, (1) transport through the membrane of erythrocytes during process of hemolysis and (2) transport through the reactor

Electrostatic extrusion was applied to the encapsulation of 3-ethoxy-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde (ethyl vanillin) in calcium alginate and calcium alginate/poly(vinyl alcohol) beads. The calcium alginate/poly(vinyl alcohol) hydrogel spheres were formed after contact with the cross-linker solution of calcium chloride, followed by the freeze-thaw method for poly(vinyl alcohol) gel formation. The entrapment of aroma in beads was investigated by FTIR and thermal analysis (thermogravimetry/differential thermal gravimetry; TGA/DTG). The mass loss in the temperature range of 150?C300°C is related to degradation of the matrix and the release of ethyl vanillin. According to the DTG curve, the release of ethyl vanillin occurs at about 260°C. TGA measurements of the stored samples confirmed that formulations were stable for a period of one month. FTIR analysis provides no evidence for chemical interactions between flavour and alginate that would alter the nature of the functional groups in the flavour compound. 相似文献

The syntheses of two novel platinum(IV) complexes of formula [PtX2(S,S-eddp)]·nH2O (S,S-eddp = ethylenediamine-N,N′-di-S,S-2-propanoate ion, X = chlorido (1) or bromido (2), n = 4, 0) are reported. The complexes have been obtained by direct reaction of corresponding potassium hexahalogenidoplatinate(IV) with neutralized ethylenediamine-N,N′-di-S,S-2-propanoic acid (H2-S,S-eddp). The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, infrared, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The spectroscopically predicted geometrical configurations of the obtained complexes were confirmed by X-ray analyses of the crystal structures of the s-cis-[Pt(S,S-eddp)Cl2]·4H2O and uns-cis-[Pt(S,S-eddp)Br2]. S-Alkyl (R = benzyl, methyl, ethyl, propyl and butyl) derivatives of thiosalicylic acid and the corresponding palladium(II) complexes were prepared and their structures were proposed on the basis of infrared, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The cis geometrical configurations of the isolated complexes were proposed on the basis of an X-ray structural study of the bis(S-benzyl-thiosalicylate)-palladium(II), [Pd(S-bz-thiosal)2] complex.Antimicrobial activity of the tested compounds was evaluated by determining the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum microbicidal concentration (MMC) in relation to 26 species of microorganisms. The tested ligands, with a few exceptions, show low antimicrobial activity. The palladium(II) complexes, [Pd(S-R-thiosal)2], have statistically significant higher activity than the corresponding ligands. The complexes [Pd(S-et-thiosal)2] and [Pd(S-pro-thiosal)2] displayed the strongest activity amongst the all tested compounds. The palladium(II) complexes show selective and moderate antibacterial activity and significant antifungal activity. The most sensitive were Aspergillus fumigatus and Aspergillus flavus. 相似文献

This paper describes the results of the round robin experiment “Bead production technologies” carried out during the COST
840 action “Bioencapsulation Innovation and Technologies” within the 5th Framework Program of the European Community. In this
round robin experiment, calcium alginate hydrogel beads with the diameter of (800 ± 100) μm were produced by the most common
bead production technologies using 0.5–4 mass % sodium alginate solutions as starting material. Dynamic viscosity of the alginate
solutions ranged from less than 50 mPa s up to more than 10000 mPa s. With the coaxial air-flow and electrostatic enhanced
dropping technologies as well as with the JetCutter technology in the soft-landing mode, beads were produced from all alginate
solutions, whereas the vibration technology was not capable to process the high-viscosity 3 % and 4 % alginate solutions.
Spherical beads were generated by the electrostatic and the JetCutter technologies. Slightly deformed beads were obtained
from high-viscosity alginate solutions using the coaxial airflow and from the 0.5 % and 2 % alginate solutions using the vibration
technology. The rate of bead production using the JetCutter was about 10 times higher than with the vibration technology and
more than 10000 times higher than with the coaxial air-flow and electrostatic technology.

The paper presents a method to find the solution of the constant coefficient matrix differential Riccati differential in terms of solutions of algebraic Riccati and Lyapunov equations, and the state transition matrix (matrix exponential) of the corresponding linear dynamic system. The method presented represents an improved method of Potter-Anderson-Moore since the solution is obtained under milder assumptions than the original algorithm of Potter-Anderson-Moore. The reaction of K2[PdCl4] with [(S,S)-H2(Et)2eddv]Cl2 diester (O,O′-diethyl-(S,S)-ethylenediamine-N,N′-di-2-(3-methyl)butanoate) (1) resulted in [PdCl2{(S,S)-(Et)eddv-κ2
N,N′,κO}] (2) complex with one hydrolyzed ester group. The compound was characterized by spectroscopic methods and it was found that the
reaction is diastereoselective (1H and 13C NMR; one diastereoisomer of four possible). In addition, the structure of 2 was confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis, indicating that the product is the (R,R)–N,N′-configured isomer.
