Curcumin, a naturally occurring, intensely yellow dye extracted from the spice turmeric, is an efficient photosensitizer for diaryliodonium salt photoinitiators at wavelengths ranging from 340 to 535 nm. With curcumin as a photosensitizer, it is possible to carry out the cationic photopolymerization of a wide variety of epoxide, oxetane, and vinyl monomers with long‐wavelength UV and visible light. An example of the photopolymerization of an epoxide monomer with ambient solar irradiation is provided. Several other curcumin analogues were synthesized, and their use as photosensitizers is examined. With such photosensitizers, the range of spectral sensitivity can be extended well into the visible region of the electromagnetic spectrum. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Aspartame adduct of copper(II) chloride Cu(Asp)2Cl2·2H2O (Asp=aspartame) is synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, FT IR, UV/vis, ESR spectroscopies, TG, DTG, DTA measurements and molecular mechanics calculations. Aqueous solution of the green solid absorbs strongly at 774 and 367 nm. According to the FT IR spectra, the aspartame moiety coordinates to the copper(II) ion via its carboxylate ends, whereas the ammonium terminal groups give rise to hydrogen bonding network with the water, the chloride ions or neighboring carboxylate groups. The results suggest tetragonally distorted octahedral environment of the copper ions.  相似文献

A new sandwich-tpype dilutetium tetraphthalocyanine 4 has been synthesized by the reaction of dimeric lutetium(III) phthalocyanine 3 with two equiv. of dilithium octakishexylthiophthalocyanine in amyl alcohol. Compound 3 was prepared from 4',5',4",5"-tetraiminoisoindoline(1,4,7,10-tetrathia-12-crown-4) 1, 4,5-bis(hexylthio)-1,2-diiminoisoindoline and lutetium acetate in amyl alcohol. Compounds 3 and 4 were characterized by elemental analysis, UV/visible, IR, (1)H NMR and ESR spectroscopy. The electrochemical and electrochromic properties of 3 and 4 have been examined by cyclic voltammetry. Both 3 and 4 displayed well-defined electrochromic behavior.  相似文献

In this work, considering a general subclass of analytic bi-univalent functions, we determine estimates for the general Taylor–Maclaurin coefficients of the functions in this class. For this purpose, we use the Faber polynomial expansions. In certain cases, our estimates improve some of those existing coefficient bounds.  相似文献

In the past years there has been a great interest in self-doped TiO2 nanotubes (blue TiO2 nanotubes) compared to undoped ones owing to their high carrier density and conductivity. In this study, blue TiO2 nanotubes are investigated as photoanode materials for photoelectrochemical water splitting. Blue TiO2 nanotubes were fabricated with enhanced photoresponse behavior through electrochemical cathodic polarization on undoped and annealed TiO2 nanotubes. The annealing temperature of undoped TiO2 nanotubes was tuned before cathodic polarization, revealing that annealing at 500 °C improved the photoresponse of the nanotubes significantly. Further optimization of the blue TiO2 nanotubes was achieved by adjusting the cathodic polarization parameters. Blue TiO2 nanotubes obtained at the potential of –1.4 V (vs. SCE) with a duration of 10 min exhibited twice more photocurrent response (0.39 mA cm-2) compared to the undoped TiO2 nanotube arrays (0.19 mA cm-2). Oxygen vacancies formed through the cathodic polarization decreased charge recombination and enhanced charge transfer rate; therefore, a high photoelectrochemical activity under visible light irradiation could be achieved.  相似文献

Abstract

The 4-H, 4-methyl and 4-phenyl derivatives of benzo-α-pyrone of 12-crown-4 and 15-crown-5 were synthesised starting from 4-substituted-6,7-dihydroxy- and 7,8-dihydroxybenzo-α-pyrones which reacted with dichloropolyethylene glycols in DMF/water/alkali carbonate. The coumarin-macrocycles were identified by elemental analysis, IR, EI-GC-MS as well as 1H, 13C NMR spectroscopy. The full experimental and spectral data is reported along with ion binding data studied in acetonitrile using fluorescence spectroscopy. The binding of the fluorogenic coumarin-crowns with Li+, Na+ and K+ were recognized as specific alterations on their fluorescence spectra that strongly originated from the structures. The observed CEQFS depending on the bound cation radii and macrocycle size evidenced the rules of cationic recognition of macrocycles. Some 15-crown-5 derivatives exhibited interesting Li+ and Na+ binding selectivities.  相似文献

Mass-filtered cobalt clusters with a size of 8 nm have been deposited in-situ under soft-landing conditions onto Au(111). The spin and orbital moments of the Co nanoparticles on a Au (111) single crystal have been investigated as a function of the temperature using the element-specific method of X-ray magnetic circular dichroism in photoabsorption. The results hint at an temperature-dependent spin-reorientation transition which is discussed with respect to different contribution to the magnetic anisotropy. Furthermore, by means of an in-situ oxidation experiment, the influence of an exposure to oxygen on the properties of the cobalt clusters has been investigated.  相似文献
