Background
The adenine nucleotide translocator 1 (Ant1) is an inner mitochondrial membrane protein involved with energy mobilization during oxidative phosphorylation. We recently showed that rodent Ant1 is upregulated by transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) in reactive astrocytes following CNS injury. In the present study, we describe the molecular mechanisms by which TGF-β1 regulates Ant1 gene expression in cultured primary rodent astrocytes. 相似文献2.

The solid-state structures of LiNH(2)BH(3) and NaNH(2)BH(3) have been shown recently to exhibit intricate M(δ+)···(δ-)H-B and N-H(δ+)···(δ-)H-B interactions. However, closer inspection of these structures reveals additional homopolar H···H interactions, viz., B-H(δ-)···(δ-)H-B and N-H(δ+)···(δ+)H-N, which contribute to the relative stability of the extended structures of these crystalline materials. In addition, an NMR study of the isotopomer LiND(2)BH(3) shows that a significant quantity of H(2) is desorbed thermally along with HD, which can only arise from hydride-hydride interactions, either directly from B-H(δ-)···(δ-)H-B moieties or indirectly through the participation of Li-H intermediates. 相似文献

This study compared region of interest (ROI) and voxel-based analysis (VBA) methods to determine the optimal method of myelin water fraction (MWF) analysis. Twenty healthy controls were scanned twice using a multi-echo T2 relaxation sequence and ROIs were drawn in white and grey matter. MWF was defined as the fractional signal from 15 to 40 ms in the T2 distribution. For ROI analysis, the mean intensity of voxels within an ROI was fit using non-negative least squares. For VBA, MWF was obtained for each voxel and the mean and median values within an ROI were calculated. There was a slightly higher correlation between Scan 1 and 2 for the VBA method (R2=0.98) relative to the ROI method (R2=0.95), and the VBA mean square difference between scans was 300% lower, indicating VBA was the most consistent between scans. For the VBA method, mean MWF was found to be more reproducible than median MWF. As the VBA method is more reproducible and gives more options for visualization and analysis of MWF, it is recommended over the ROI method of MWF analysis. 相似文献

A new ground‐state organic electron donor has been prepared that features four strongly π‐donating iminophosphorano substituents on a bispyridinylidene skeleton. Cyclic voltammetry reveals a record redox potential of ?1.70 V vs. saturated calomel electrode (SCE) for the couple involving the neutral organic donor and its dication. This highly reducing organic compound can be isolated (44 %) or more conveniently generated in situ by a deprotonation reaction involving its readily prepared pyridinium ion precursor. This donor is able to reduce a variety of aryl halides, and, owing to its redox potential, was found to be the first organic donor to be effective in the thermally induced reductive S? N bond cleavage of N,N‐dialkylsulfonamides, and reductive hydrodecyanation of malonitriles. 相似文献

These intermolecular interactions have long been considered to mediate the release of hydrogen from this material.
