Liquid phase hydrogenation of styrene oxide using 1% Pd/C and NaOH as a promoter was found to give selectively β-phenethyl alcohol (PEA) under very mild conditions (313–333 K; 0.68–5.5 MPa). The kinetics of this system was investigated by collecting initial rate data in a batch slurry reactor. Rate of hydrogenation was found to decrease beyond a certain concentration of both hydrogen (>3 MPa) and styrene oxide (>0.5 kmol/m3). A Langmuir–Hinshelwood type rate equation has been proposed based on the initial rate data in the kinetic regime. The model predictions agree very well with the experimentally observed concentration–time data indicating the applicability of the proposed rate model.  相似文献

Acetyl benzofurans 1a, 1b reacted with isatins 2a2f in the presence of pyridine to give corresponding 3-[2-(1-benzofuran-2-yl)-2-oxoethyl]-3-hydroxy-1,3-dihydro-2H-indol-2-one derivatives 3a3l. Dehydration of the latter in acidic media led to the corresponding α,β-unsaturated ketones 4a4l. The structures of newly synthesized compounds 3a3l and 4a4l were established on the basis of analytical and spectral data. The synthesized compounds were screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activities. Compounds 5d, 5f, and 5h displayed excellent antimicrobial activity. The synthesized compounds were studied for docking on the enzyme, Glucosamine-6-phosphate Synthase.  相似文献

In modern drug designing, molecular docking is routinely used for understanding drug-receptor interaction. In the present study six imidazole derivatives containing substituted pyrazole moiety (2a,b and 4ad) were synthesized. Structures of the newly synthesized compounds were characterized by spectral studies. Compounds were screened for their antibacterial activity. Compound 4c was found to be potent antimicrobial against Pseudomonas aeruginosa at concentrations of 1 and 0.5 mg/mL compared to standard drug Streptomycin. All the compounds were subjected to molecular docking studies for the inhibition of the enzyme l-glutamine: d-fructose-6-phosphate amidotransferase[GlcN-6-P] (EC 2.6.1.16). The in silico molecular docking study results showed that, all the synthesized compounds having minimum binding energy and have good affinity toward the active pocket, thus, they may be considered as good inhibitor of GlcN-6-P synthase.  相似文献
