Laguerre-Gaussian (LG) beams of various higher-order radial modes are generated by using a reflective phase-only liquid crystal on silicon (LCOS) spatial light modulator (SLM). Because of the LCOS SLM's phase-modulation characteristic of a wide spatial bandwidth, a phase modulation scheme effectively generates higher-order LG beams of up to the fifth-order radial mode. We also perform correlation analyses between the observed and the theoretical two-dimensional mode profiles to universally obtain correlation coefficients of more than 0.946, which suggest mode generations of high quality.  相似文献

The present algorithm is an extension of the branch-and-bound algorithm for parametric analysis on pure integer programming. Co(0 0 0 1)hcp/Fe(1 1 0)bcc epitaxial magnetic bi-layer films were successfully prepared on SrTiO3(1 1 1) substrates. The crystallographic properties of Co/Fe epitaxial magnetic bi-layer films were investigated. Fe(1 1 0)bcc soft magnetic layer grew epitaxially on SrTiO3(1 1 1) substrate with two type variants, Nishiyama–Wasserman and Kurdjumov–Sachs relationships. An hcp-Co single-crystal layer is obtained on Ru(0 0 0 1)hcp interlayer, while hcp-Co layer formed on Au(1 1 1)fcc or Ag(1 1 1)fcc interlayer is strained and may involve fcc-Co phase. It has been shown possible to prepare Co/Fe epitaxial magnetic bi-layer films which can be usable for patterned media application.  相似文献

It has been assumed that the pi-electrons of aromatic residues in the catalytic sites of triterpene cyclases stabilize the cationic intermediates formed during the polycyclization cascade of squalene or oxidosqualene, but no definitive experimental evidence has been given. To validate this cation-pi interaction, natural and unnatural aromatic amino acids were site-specifically incorporated into squalene-hopene cyclase (SHC) from Alicyclobacillus acidocaldarius and the kinetic data of the mutants were compared with that of the wild-type SHC. The catalytic sites of Phe365 and Phe605 were substituted with O-methyltyrosine, tyrosine, and tryptophan, which have higher cation-pi binding energies than phenylalanine. These replacements actually increased the SHC activity at low temperature, but decreased the activity at high temperature, as compared with the wild-type SHC. This decreased activity is due to the disorganization of the protein architecture caused by the introduction of the amino acids more bulky than phenylalanine. Then, mono-, di-, and trifluorophenylalanines were incorporated at positions 365 and 605; these amino acids reduce cation-pi binding energies but have van der Waals radii similar to that of phenylalanine. The activities of the SHC variants with fluorophenylalanines were found to be inversely proportional to the number of the fluorine atoms on the aromatic ring and clearly correlated with the cation-pi binding energies of the ring moiety. No serious structural alteration was observed for these variants even at high temperature. These results unambiguously show that the pi-electron density of residues 365 and 605 has a crucial role for the efficient polycyclization reaction by SHC. This is the first report to demonstrate experimentally the involvement of cation-pi interaction in triterpene biosynthesis.  相似文献

The vacuum ultraviolet photoemission spectra of quasi-one-dimensional charge density wave ( CDW ) system, (TaSe4)2I, were measured for photon energies between 32 and 100 eV at room temperature ( in the normal phase ) and at about 100 K ( in the CDW phase ). The spectrum of Ta 4f core-levels has shown no additional splitting due to the two different Ta sites. The spectra of the valence and conduction bands have revealed the resonant enhancement for the excitation of the Ta 5p core states, which demonstrates the remarkable hybridization of Ta 5d orbitals with Se 4p orbitals with binding energies smaller than 4 eV. In the CDW phase, the partial cross section decreases for both Ta 5d bands and Se 4p bands with Ta 5d components.  相似文献

A new process of biological waste treatment was developed by use of microbial films grown on the liquid surface in a shallow flow reactor. The performance of this process was tested using a synthetic waste that contained acetic acid as a model organic pollutant. About 90% of acetic acid (10,000 mg/L-1) in the synthetic waste was removed by setting alpha tau: (alpha specific liquid surface area, cm-1, and tau: hydraulic liquid detention time, h) higher than 15 cm-1/h. It was necessary to maintain alpha large enough (more than 10 cm-1 in most cases) to satisfy oxygen demand for the biooxidation. The oxygen balance and TOC determinations showed that the acetic acid removed was completely oxidized with oxygen transferred through the liquid surface. This process would contribute to energy savings, since it requires no forced aeration for oxygen supply.  相似文献

Inclusion complex formation between cyclodextrin and autoinducer of gram negative bacteria in aqueous solution was investigated by 1D 1H-NMR and ROESY spectra. An inhibitioneffect was observed on autoinducer activities of quorum sensing in Pseudomonas aeruginosa by adding cyclodextrins to the bacterial culture medium.  相似文献
