A TTF-linked porphyrin dyad and its zinc complex have been synthesized as novel photosystems with a redox-active pendant. The two chromophores of these dyads are not interactive in the absorption spectra, but the fluorescence of the porphyrin chromophore is dramatically quenched by intramolecular electron transfer from the TTF pendant.  相似文献

Chitinase-catalyzed hydrolytic and transglycosylating behavior of 1,2-oxazoline derivative of N-acetyllactosamine (LacNAc-oxa) 1 has been investigated. An extremely rapid hydrolysis (ring-opening of the oxazoline moiety) could be observed, suggesting that 1 behaves as a transition state analogue substrate for chitinase A1 (Bacillus circulans WL-12). This disaccharide monomer 1 was found to polymerize under basic conditions, giving rise to novel oligosaccharides having a β(1-4)–β(1-6) repeating unit in the main chain. The degree of polymerization of the resulting oligosaccharides was up to 5. This is the first example of enzymatic glycosylation reaction forming a β(1-6) bond catalyzed by chitinase.  相似文献

The effect of charge-inverting modification of single surface lysine residue on the electron transfer (ET) reaction of horse heart cytochrome c (cyt c) is examined for 12 different types of mono-4-chloro-2,5-dinitrobenzoic acid substituted cyt c (mCDNPc) adsorbed on a Au(111) electrode modified with a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) of 7-mercapto-heptanoic acid (MHA). A negative shift in the redox potential by 10-35 mV as compared to that of native cyt c and a monolayer coverage in the range of 13-17 pmol cm(-2) are observed for electroactive mCDNPc's. The magnitude of the decrease in the ET rate constant (k(et)) of mCDNPc's compared with that of native cyt c depends on the position of the CDNP substitution. For mCDNPc's in which the modified lysine residue is outside of the interaction domain of cyt c with the SAM, the ratio of the k(et) of mCDNPc to that of native cyt c is correlated to the change in the dipole moment vector of cyt c due to the CDNP modification. This correlation suggests that the dipole moment of cyt c determines its orientation of adsorption on the SAM of MHA and significantly affects the rate of the ET. The CDNP modification of lysine residues at the interaction domain significantly decreases the rate, demonstrating the importance of the local charge environment in determining the rate of ET.  相似文献

The hydrogenation of benzaldehyde and cinnamaldehyde has been studied with a 5% Pt/C catalyst in compressed CO(2). The effect of CO(2) pressure on the total conversion was found to be different between the two aldehydes. The total conversion of benzaldehyde merely decreases with increasing CO(2) pressure, while that of cinnamaldehyde shows a maximum at a certain pressure. High-pressure FTIR measurements indicate the existence of interactions of CO(2) with the aldehydes. The absorption of nu(C=O) red-shifts at increasing CO(2) pressure, and this red-shift is more significant for cinnamaldehyde than for benzaldehyde, indicating that the C=O bond of the former becomes more reactive than the latter. The difference in the mode of interactions of CO(2) with these aldehydes has also been indicated by changes of nu(C=O) of CO(2). Thus, the conversion of benzaldehyde will decrease with increasing CO(2) pressure because of a simple dilution by introducing a larger quantity of CO(2). For cinnamaldehyde, the conversion will increase at low pressures because of increasing interactions with CO(2) molecules (increasing the reactivity of the C=O bond) but decrease at high pressures because of the simple dilution effect, similar to the case of benzaldehyde. The dense CO(2) molecules are not likely to change the catalytic activity of supported Pt particles, which was previously suggested from optical absorption of supported fine metal (Au) particles in a compressed CO(2) medium.  相似文献

We have performed Monte Carlo simulations of hard spheres under gravity. Vertical boundaries are hard walls, which are well separated with each other. On the other hand, the periodic boundary condition is imposed in the horizontal direction. While we previously reported enhancement of crystallinity as well as crystallization due to gravity, we present here the results that demonstrate the succession of a defect. In case that the crystal formed at the bottom of the system includes kinds of stacking disorders for the (0 0 1) growth, twin band structure develops as mediated by a stacking disorder succeeded in the crystal formed in the fluid region which lies on the bottom crystal. In case that the stacking structure along horizontal direction changes from the (1 1 1) stacking to the (0 0 1) stacking, twin band structure in the (0 0 1) stacking region develops as succeeded in the crystal transformed. The twin band structure also becomes large with its upward growth.  相似文献

Alkyl radicals generated by treatment of thiocarbamates of conformationally favorable 3-alkyl-3-arylpropan-1-ols with tris(trimethylsilyl)silane and AIBN efficiently undergo intramolecular ipso substitution of the methoxy group, yielding the corresponding cyclized products. In contrast, either conformationally favorable or flexible 1-arylalkan-3- or 4-ones easily cyclize into five- or six-membered condensed rings by treatment with SmI(2) via ketyl radical intermediates. The addition of HMPA as cosolvent dramatically changes the cyclization mode of the SmI(2)-induced reaction, and the para-cyclization products are exclusively formed. This "HMPA effect" can be rationalized by the strong chelating ability of HMPA with the samarium atom.  相似文献

Tetraphenylporphyrinatoantimony(V) complexes, linked to boron-dipyrrin chromophores on axial ligands, were synthesized. The fluorescence spectra of 1a, 1b and 1c (3-[4-(N,N′-difluorobornyl-5-dipyrrinyl)phenyl]propoxo(methoxo)antimony(V) tetraphenylporphyrin bromide (1a); 6-[4-(N,N′-difluorobornyl-5-dipyrrinyl)phenyl]hexyloxo(methoxo)antimony(V) tetraphenylporphyrin bromide (1b); bis{3-[4-(N,N′-difluorobornyl-5-dipyrrinyl)phenyl]propoxo}antimony(V) tetraphenylporphyrin bromide (1c)) were analyzed under the excitations of N,N′-difluorobornyl-5-dipyrrinylphenyl (Bdpy) and tetraphenylporphyrinatoantimony(V) (Sb(TPP)) chromophores. Under the irradiation of Bdpy chromophore, the excitation energy was transferred from Bdpy chromophore to the Sb(TPP) moiety at 0.13–0.40 of the quantum yields, even in a polar solvent. On the other hand, the emission of Sb(TPP) chromophores was quenched by Bdpy chromophores at rate constants of 108–109 s−1, independent of on the solvent polarity. Under the excitation of the Bdpy chromophore of 1d (3-[4-(N,N′-difluorobornyl-5-dipyrrinyl)phenyl]propoxo(phenyloxo)antimony(V) tetraphenylporphyrin bromide) involving both the Bdpy and the phenoxy chromophores on the axial ligands, the excited singlet state of the Sb(TPP) chromophore generated by the energy transfer from the Bdpy chromophore was quenched by the phenoxy ligand via non-radiative processes involving electron transfer. However, rapid back electron-transfer may occur because no absorption of the anion radical of Sb(TPP) was observed by nanosecond laser photolysis.  相似文献

A new indole alkaloid with the canthin-6-one skeleton, ishigadine A, has been isolated from an Okinawan marine sponge Hyrtios sp. The structure of ishigadine A was elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analyses. Ishigadine A is a new canthin-6-one alkaloid possessing a hydroxy group, a 1,3-dimethyl-4-methylthioimidazolium, and a 1-propylguanidine. Ishigadine A is the third canthin-6-one alkaloid from sponges. Ishigadine A might be generated from l-arginine, l-histidine, and l-tryptophan. Ishigadine A exhibited moderate cytotoxicity against L1210 murine leukemia cells.  相似文献

Self-assembly of porphyrins is a fascinating topic, not only for mimicking chlorophyll assemblies in photosynthetic organisms, but also for the potential of creating molecular-level devices. Herein, zinc porphyrin derivatives bearing a meta-pyridyl group at the meso position were prepared and their assemblies studied in chloroform. Among the porphyrins studied, one with a carbamoylpyridyl moiety gave a distinct 1H NMR spectrum in CDCl3, which allowed the supramolecular structure in solution to be probed in detail. Ring-current-induced chemical-shift changes in the 1H NMR spectrum, together with vapor-pressure osmometry and diffusion-ordered NMR spectroscopy, among other evidence, suggested that the porphyrin molecules form a trimer with a triangular cone structure. Incorporation of a directly linked porphyrin–ferrocene dyad with the same assembling properties in the assemblies led to a rare example of a light-harvesting/charge-separation system in which an energy gradient is incorporated and reductive quenching occurs.  相似文献

Abstract

The first successful chemical synthesis of cellulose was achieved by a polycondensation of β-cellobiosyl fluoride monomer catalyzed with cellulase, an extracellular hydrolytic enzyme of cellulose, in a mixed solvent of acetonitrile and acetate buffer. The product, synthetic cellulose, was the crystalline allomorph cellulose II, a thermodynamically more stable form. More detailed examinations of the polymerization conditions led to the formation of the native cellulose I, a metastable allomorph, for the first time. The key to the success was to use partially purified cellulase and an appropriate mixed solvent of acetonitrile/buffer. The formation of the two allomorphs of cellulose implies that the polarity of the glucan chain ordering can be controlled in a test tube. Based on these findings, a new concept “choroselectivity,” meaning spacial control in ordering the macromolecular chain, has been proposed. Cellulose analogues, 6-O-methylated cellulose and xylan, have been synthesized regio- and stereoselectively by using the enzymatic polymerization technique.  相似文献
