In this paper, we consider the axisymmetric problem of a frictionless receding contact between an elastic functionally graded layer and a homogeneous half-space, when the two bodies are pressed together. The graded layer is modeled as a nonhomogeneous medium with an isotropic stress–strain law and is subjected over a part of its top surface to normal tractions while the rest of it is free of tractions. Since the contact between the two bodies is assumed to be frictionless, then only compressive normal tractions can be transmitted in the contact area. Using Hankel transform, the axisymmetric elasticity equations are converted analytically into a singular integral equation in which the unknowns are the contact pressure and the receding contact radius. The global equilibrium condition of the layer is supplemented to solve the problem. The singular integral equation is solved numerically using orthogonal Chebychev polynomials and an iterative scheme is employed to obtain the correct receding contact length that satisfies the global equilibrium condition. The main objective of the paper is to study the effect of the material nonhomogeneity parameter and the thickness of the graded layer on the contact pressure and on the length of the receding contact.  相似文献

An analytic linear theory of the electron dynamics in a three-dimensional helical wiggler free electron laser (FEL) with axial magnetic field is presented. Orbits are obtained by perturbing the steady state-trajectories in order to determine the characteristic frequencies Ω± of the FEL. The effect of the self-fields on electron dynamics is studied and modified steady-state orbits and their stabilities have been analysed considering variation of electron energy and density. Among the features encountered is that in both group-I and group-II, one of the characteristic frequencies may have either signs affecting then the stability of the motion, while in group-II operation a repulsion of the frequencies at a pseudocrossing leads to highly perturbed trajectories when the wiggler frequency is approximately half the cyclotron frequency. Self-fields effects can significantly impair the stability of the electron orbits. For group-I orbits, they are more important for higher wiggler frequencies and lower beam energies. For group-II orbits, they remain less important for higher wiggler frequencies and lower beam energies before reaching the inversion zone, then they behave as for group-I orbits. It should be remarked that self-fields shift the inversion zone towards higher cyclotron frequencies the thing that is obtained by either decreasing the wiggler frequency or increasing the beam energy. It is shown that the axial velocity-induced self-magnetic field has a diamagnetic effect for both groups orbits, while the wiggler-induced self-magnetic field has a diamagnetic effect for group-I orbits and a paramagnetic effect for group-II orbits. The paramagnetic and diamagnetic effects are more important for higher beam energies and densities.  相似文献

The lithium dihydrogen phosphate LiH2PO4 has been investigated by X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and electrical impedance spectroscopy. The Rietveld refinements based on the XRD patterns show that the compound is crystallized in the orthorhombic system with Pna21 space group, and the refined unit cell parameters are a = 6.2428 Å, b = 7.6445 Å, and c = 6.873 Å. The electrical properties were studied using complex impedance spectroscopy as a function of frequency (104–107 Hz) at various temperatures (300–400 K). The Nyquist plots are well fitted to an equivalent circuit consisting of a series of combination of grains and inhomogeneous electrode surface effect. The frequency dependence of the conductivity is interpreted in terms of Jonscher’s law. Moreover, the near value of the activation energies obtained from the equivalent circuit and analysis of M″ confirms that the transport is through ion hopping mechanism dominated by the motion of the proton in the structure of the investigated material.  相似文献

We develop a Hamiltonian formalism that can be used to study the particle dynamics near stable equilibria. The construction of an original canonical transformation allowed us to prove the conservation of the linear momentum P3, which permitted the expansion of the Hamiltonian about a fixed point. The definition of the rotational variable h whose Poisson algebra properties played the essential role in the diagonalization of the quadratic Hamiltonian yielding two uncoupled oscillators with definite frequencies and amplitudes. It is through applying this variable near a fixed point that come to light Heisenberg's and Harmonic Oscillator equations of motion of the particles, leading thus the association of the fixed point trajectories with arbitrary trajectories in its immediate neighborhood. The present formalism succeeded to treat the problem of free-electron laser dynamics and may be applied to similar cases. Received 20 October 2001  相似文献

Noria and NoriaPG are capable of increasing the L-arabinose isomerase stability not only at high temperatures but also at low pH. The Landau problem of a charged particle in a plane with a uniform perpendicular magnetic field is analysed in two oscillator modes. The coherent states for the problem have been found out using a general definition of displaced states. The time evolution and the associated nonadiabatic geometric phase for both initially displaced and non-displaced wave packets have been studied. The path integral is derived in a simple way through the calculation of Gaussian integrals via the concept of coherent state wavefunctions.  相似文献

The molecular recognition by para-sulphonato-calix[4]arene of cytosine, occurs in solution, in the solid-state and by assembly on the surface of para-sulphonato-calix[4]arene capped silver nanoparticles. Each of these states shows different modes of assembly; in solution a 1:1 complex is formed; in the solid state a 4:1 assembly exists, however some of the cytosine molecules are present as space fillers and do not participate in the host (guest complexes, finally on the surface of the hybrid silver/para-sulphonato-calix[4]arene nanoparticles a 2:1 cytosine/para-sulphonato-calix[4]arene assembly is observed. The assembly processes have been studied by DOSY NMR, fluorescence spectroscopy, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Single Crystal Solid State Diffraction, Visible Spectroscopy and Electron Microscopy. The results demonstrate how cytosine initiates the aggregation of the hybrid silver/para-sulphonato-calix[4]arene hybrid nanoparticles.  相似文献
