Monomers of some amphiphiles organize into bilayers to form liposomes and niosomes. Such bilayers are unstable or leaky and hence cholesterol is a common ingredient included to stabilize them. Cholesterol stabilizes bilayers, prevents leakiness, and retards permeation of solutes enclosed in the aqueous core of these vesicles. Other than cholesterol a material with good bilayer-stabilizing properties is yet to be identified. We have substituted cholesterol with fatty alcohols in niosomes containing polyglyceryl-3-di-isostearate (PGDS) and polysorbate-80 (PS-80) to explore their membrane-stabilizing property via permeation studies. Niosomes of polyglyceryl-3-di-isostearate, fatty alcohol/cholesterol, and polysorbate were prepared by ether injection method. Aqueous solution of ketorolac tromethamine (KT) was entrapped in them. The effects of alkyl chain length of fatty alcohols (C(12), C(14), C(16), C(18), and C(16+18)), of acyl chain length of polyoxyethylene sorbitan monoester surfactants, and of the molar ratio of lipid mixture on the release rate of ketorolac from niosomes were assessed by employing modified dissolution-dialysis method. Niosomes with cholesterol or fatty alcohols have exhibited a common release pattern. Niosomes containing fatty alcohol showed a considerably slower release rate of KT than those containing cholesterol. Based on the release rate, fatty alcohols can be ranked as stearyl相似文献

incorporating a small number of floating spherical Gaussians is shown to restore all the critical features of the molecules
under study. A comparative study of the standard deviations of MESP derived from charge models on scaled vdW surfaces further

An environmentally benign, cheap and reusable L-amino acid functionalized ionic liquid [L-AAIL]/AlCl3 was found to be an effective catalyst for the synthesis of 3,4-dihydropyrimidine-2-(1H)-thione derivatives in good to excellent yield under solvent-free condition. Compared with the classical Biginelli reactions, this method consistently enjoys the advantages of mild reaction conditions, easy work-up, and short reaction time. These one-pot three-component Biginelli products could be separated easily from the catalyst–water system, and the catalyst could be reused at least five times without noticeably reducing catalytic activity. 相似文献

1-Glycyl-3-methyl imidazolium chloride-iron (III) complex [[Gmim]Cl?CFe(III)] was found to be a heterogeneous catalyst for an efficient and greener solvent free synthesis of esters by the condensation of carboxylic acids and alcohols with excellent yield at ambient temperature. This operation formulates very interesting, ecological perspective due to simple reaction condition, isolation, and purification of products. A novel, effective 1‐glycyl‐3‐methyl imidazolium chloride–palladium(II) complex ([Gmim]Cl–Pd(II)) was synthesized and studied as an organocatalyst for the Sonogashira coupling reaction under solvent‐free conditions at 25 °C. The hydrophobic group on amino acid favors reagent diffusion toward the chloroglycine moiety, increasing the catalytic activity of supported palladium complex. By this protocol, different aryl halides (Cl, Br and I) were reacted with phenylacetylene in good to excellent yields with turnover number 8.0 × 102 to 9.6 × 102. The catalyst was recycled for the reaction of bromobenzene with phenylacetylene for eight runs without appreciable loss of its catalytic activity and negligible metal leaching. A variety of alkyl-arenes and cyclohexane were converted to the corresponding ketones with NaCIO as the oxidant in the presence of l-glycyl-3-methyl imidazolium chloride-copper(Ⅱ) complex.This method contains simplified product isolation and catalyst recycling,affording benzylic C-H oxidation of alkyl-arenes imparting high yield of ketones.Furthermore,complex could be reused seven times without a significant loss of its catalytic activity. 相似文献
