In this study, fatty amides (FAs) synthesized from palm olein were used to extract and separate Mo(VI) from acidic media. Effects of various parameters upon the separation of Mo(VI) from Co(II), Ni(II), Al(III) and Mn(II), including extractant concentration, metal ion concentration, contact time, diluent, and acidity, were investigated. It was found that Mo(VI) was successfully separated from the above commonly associated metal ions by stripping from the loaded organic phase. Different acidic and alkaline solutions were used. Ammonium hydroxide solution was an optimal. Extraction of Mo(VI) into the organic phase involved the formation of 1:3 complexes. This work presents the development of a low-cost and environmentally friendly extractant to recycle and recover molybdenum.  相似文献

Nanosized cobalt ferrite spinel particles have been prepared by using mechanically alloyed nanoparticles. The effects of various preparation parameters on the crystallite size of cobalt ferrite which includes milling time; ball-to powder weight ratio (BPR) and sintering temperature, were studied using X-ray diffractometer (XRD). Scherrer's equation was used to study the crystallite size evolution of the as-prepared materials. The results of the as-milled sample revealed that both milling time and BPR plays a role in determining the crystallite size of the milled powder. However, where sintering is involved, the sintering temperature results in grain growth, and thus plays a dominant role in determining the final crystallite size of the samples sintered at higher temperature (above 900 °C). From the vibrating-sample magnetometer (VSM) measurement it was observed that the coercivity of the as-milled samples without sintering is almost negligible, which is a type characteristic of superparamagnetic material. However, for the sintered samples, the saturation increases while coercivity decreases with increases sintering temperature.  相似文献

Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) was employed to study electrochemical behaviors during Li-ion insertion into rice husk carbon. The impedance spectra consist of two depressed semicircles in the high and middle range frequency and an incline line at low frequency. The impedance spectra, obtained in the potential range 2.0 to 0.005 V were analyzed with an equivalent circuit model. Kinetic parameters such as the charge-transfer resistance and surface film resistance were evaluated and discussed. Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 has been synthesized using mechanical alloying method with two variables (milling time and ball-to-powder weight ratio (BPR)) were varied in order to study its effect on the magnetic properties of the material. The effects of these two variables were studied using XRD, SEM, TEM and later by impedance analyzer with the frequency range from 1 MHz to 1.8 GHz. The results obtained however show that there are no significant trends to relate the milling time and BPR with the permeability and losses of the material studied. After being sintered at 1150 °C, all the effects of alloying process seem to diminish.  相似文献

Shoot-tips of Parkia speciosa, a recalcitrant seed producing tropical leguminous tree withstood cryopreservation using encapsulation-vitrification in combination with trehalose preculture. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) revealed that trehalose moderated the thermal characteristics of the shoot-tips. A 30 min PVS2 treatment had the lowest glass transition temperature (Tg) (-50.2 +/- 1.1 degree C) when applied in combination with 5% (w/v) trehalose. The Tg increased to -40.2 +/- 1.0 degree C as the sugar concentration was decreased to 2.5 percent (w/v). Tg heat capacity for shoot-tips treated with 2.5 percent and 5 percent (w/v) trehalose and exposed to PVS2 for 30 min increased from 0.17 +/ 0.05 to 0.23 +/- 0.01 J per gram, respectively. Enthalpies of the melt-endotherm varied in proportion to trehalose concentration, for the 30 min PVS2 treatment, whereas the melt enthalpy for control shoots was greater than 150 J per gram and decreased to ca. 60 J per gram with 2.5 percent (w/v) trehalose. For 5 percent and 10 percent (w/v) trehalose treatments, enthalpy declined to ca. 24 and 12 J per gram respectively and freezing points were depressed to -75 degree C and -85 degree C with 2.5 percent and 5 percent trehalose (w/v), respectively. DSC elucidated the critical points at which vitrification occurred in germplasm exposed to trehalose and PVS2. A 60 min PVS2 treatment supporting ca. 70 percent survival was found optimal for stable glass formation during cooling and on rewarming.  相似文献

Hydrofluoric acid has been used as a stripping agent for molybdenum(VI) using a mixture of N,N’-carbonyl difatty amides (CDFAs) synthesized from palm oil as a extractant. The CDFAs was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and 1H nuclear magnetic resonance technique. In the extraction step, the effects of parameters, such as type of diluent, hydrochloric acid, metal concentration, and temperature, have been studied. The effects of various stripping agents on stripping efficiency have also been investigated. This work presents the development of a low-cost and environmentally friendly extractant to recover molybdenum.  相似文献

In this study, the finite element modeling and comparison of the stress and strain analyses were carried out for three different structures that are intact bone, stemless implant and stemmed one. Currently proposed stemless design studied here is the generic concept of stemless implant. This generic stemless implant reconstruction was numerically compared to the conventional stemmed implant and also to the intact bone as control solution. Two loading conditions were applied to the most proximal part of the models, while the most distal part was fixed for all degrees of freedom. The models were divided into two regions and studied along two paths of medial and lateral aspect. The results of this study showed that the stemless implant had less deviation from the control solution of the bone in all regions and in both loading conditions, comparing to the large deviation of the stemmed implant from the intact bone. However, it was shown that the fixation of this type of implant and its effect on sub-trochanter region must be carefully considered for designing the final product of any specific design of stemless implant.  相似文献

In this study, sago starch was modified in order to enhance its physicochemical properties. Carboxymethylation was used to introduce a carboxymethyl group into a starch compound. The carboxymethyl sago starch (CMSS) was used to prepare smart hydrogel by adding acetic acid into the CMSS powder as the crosslinking agent. The degree of substitution of the CMSS obtained was 0.6410. The optimization was based on the gel content and degree of swelling of the hydrogel. In this research, four parameters were studied in order to optimize the formation of CMSS–acid hydrogel. The parameters were; CMSS concentration, acetic acid concentration, reaction time and reaction temperature. From the data analyzed, 76.69% of optimum gel content was obtained with 33.77 g/g of degree of swelling. Other than that, the swelling properties of CMSS–acid hydrogel in different media such as salt solution, different pH of phosphate buffer saline solution as well as acidic and alkaline solution were also investigated. The results showed that the CMSS–acid hydrogel swelled in both alkaline and salt solution, while in acidic or low pH solution, it tended to shrink and deswell. The production of the hydrogel as a smart material offers a lot of auspicious benefits in the future especially related to swelling behaviour and properties of the hydrogel in different types of media.  相似文献
