A slab optical waveguide (SOWG) has been used for study of adsorption of both methylene blue (MB) and new methylene blue (NMB) in liquid-solid interface. Adsorption characteristics of MB and NMB on both bare SOWG and silanized SOWG by octadecyltrichlorosilane (ODS) were compared. The simultaneous determinations of both MB and NMB were explored by flow injection SOWG spectrophotometric analysis and artificial neural networks (ANNs) for the first time. Concentrations of MB and NMB were estimated simultaneously with the ANNs. Results obtained with SOWG were compared with those got by conventional UV-visible spectrophotometry.  相似文献

The borondipyrromethene (BODIPY) labeled new glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) molecules were synthesized as cellular probes to study the chemical basis of microdomain organization of GPI-anchored proteins and cholesterol in plasma membrane. The synthesis enabled by a new stereo-selective glycosylation of myo-d-inositol acceptor led to the preparation of optically pure glucosaminyl-(1-6)-α-phosphatidyl-myo-d-inositol and its unnatural stereoisomer.  相似文献

This plastic waste degrades into nanoparticles, which are referred to as nanoplastics (NPs) pollutants, due to faulty reuse and recycling processes. These micro and nano plastic pollutants have the ability to absorb and interact with common pollutants and have a high surface area to volume ratio, which causes serious effects on the environment, especially plants. The size of pollutants is so small that they can cross the biological barriers and affect the cellular and molecular levels. Exposure to nanoplastics in photosynthetic species affects the growth and photosynthesis mechanism of the plants. Nanoplastics also affect humans through intake of the exposed plant materials. These pollutants can be plastic pellets, personal care products, marine coatings, synthetic textiles, etc. Plastic pollutants may enter the human body mainly through contaminated food and water. This review incorporates the toxicity of such pollutant and how their remediation is being done. The focus is also on the advancement of detection and remediation techniques.  相似文献

Characterization of ion transport property in dry solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) films: [PEO: Zn(CF3SO3)2] in different salt wt% ratio has been reported. SPE films have been prepared by a hot-press casting procedure. Salt concentration dependent conductivity study at room temperature identified SPE film: [90PEO: 10 Zn(CF3SO3)2] as optimum conducting composition (OCC) with σ rt ~ 1.09 × 10−6 S/cm which is approximately three orders of magnitude higher than that of pure PEO host (σ rt ~ 3.20 × 10−9 S/cm). The reason attributed for σ rt enhancement has been the increase in degree of amorphous phase in polymeric host after salt complexation. This has been confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and polarized optical microscopy (POM) analysis. To evaluate the usefulness of SPE OCC film in all-solid-state-battery applications, ion transport property has been characterized in terms of basic ionic parameters viz. ionic conductivity (σ) and total ionic (t ion)/cation (t +) transport numbers. Mechanism of ion transport has been explained by temperature dependent conductivity measurements and the activation energy (E a) has been computed by least square linear fitting of “log σ − 1/T” Arrhenius plot.

The ethyl-2-chloroquinoline-3-carboxylates, 4, were achieved from o-aminobenzophenones in two steps. i.e. initially, the ethyl-2-oxoquinoline-3-carboxylates, 3, were obtained by base-catalyzed Friedlander condensations of o-aminobenzophenones, 1, and diethylmalonate, 2. The 2-chloroquinoline-3-carboxylates, 4, were then obtained by the reaction with POCl3 in good yields. The chemical structures were confirmed by FTIR, mass and 1H-NMR spectroscopic techniques. All the synthesized compounds were tested for their in vitro antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtilis and Vibrio cholera and found to possess moderate activity.  相似文献

The MgB2 coated superconducting tapes have been fabricated on textured Cu (0 0 1) and polycrystalline Hastelloy tapes using coated conductor technique, which has been developed for the second generation high temperature superconducting wires. The MgB2/Cu tapes were fabricated over a wide temperature range of 460-520 °C by using hybrid physical-chemical vapor deposition (HPCVD) technique. The tapes exhibited the critical temperatures (Tc) ranging between 36 and 38 K with superconducting transition width (ΔTc) of about 0.3-0.6 K. The highest critical current density (Jc) of 1.34 × 105 A/cm2 at 5 K under 3 T is obtained for the MgB2/Cu tape grown at 460 °C. To further improve the flux pinning property of MgB2 tapes, SiC is coated as an impurity layer on the Cu tape. In contrast to pure MgB2/Cu tapes, the MgB2 on SiC-coated Cu tapes exhibited opposite trend in the dependence of Jc with growth temperature. The improved flux pinning by the additional defects created by SiC-impurity layer along with the MgB2 grain boundaries lead to strong improvement in Jc for the MgB2/SiC/Cu tapes. The MgB2/Hastelloy superconducting tapes fabricated at a temperature of 520 °C showed the critical temperatures ranging between 38.5 and 39.6 K. We obtained much higher Jc values over the wide field range for MgB2/Hastelloy tapes than the previously reported data on other metallic substrates, such as Cu, SS, and Nb. The Jc values of Jc(20 K, 0 T) ∼5.8 × 106 A/cm2 and Jc(20 K, 1.5 T) ∼2.4 × 105 A/cm2 is obtained for the 2-μm-thick MgB2/Hastelloy tape. This paper will review the merits of coated conductor approach along with the HPCVD technique to fabricate MgB2 conductors with high Tc and Jc values which are useful for large scale applications.  相似文献
