Study of chromatographic characteristics of inorganic analytes in biopartitioning micellar chromatography with ion‐pair additives

The chromatographic behavior of model ions of biomedical and environmental significance was investigated by using nonionic micellar mobile phases modified with ion‐pair additives. The influence of concentrations of polyoxyethylene (23) lauryl ether and ornithine hydrochloride in the mobile phase on the retention factors of chromium (III), chromium (VI), iodide and bromide ions was studied. The possible mechanisms of retention of the mentioned ions in biopartitioning micellar chromatography with zwitter ion‐pair additives were proposed. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

On linear representations of quasigroups

For homotopies of quasigroups, an analog of the fundamental theorem on homomorphisms does not hold in general. In this paper, we consider two approaches that allow one to obtain an analog of this theorem: the introduction of strict homotopies and the move from quasigroups to three-sorted quasigroups.     

Action-type axiomatizable classes of group representations

The paper adjoins the work of B. I. Plotkin and S. M. Vovsi, Varieties of Representations of Groups (Zinatne, Riga (1983)), and turns out to be, in a sense, its continuation. In the former, the varieties of representations have been considered. As a matter of fact, the varieties under consideration are action-type varieties. Charge composition of metal ions versus laser radiation density in laser mass spectrometry

From experimental data for the yield of differently ionized ions at laser mass spectrometry, the dependence of the charge composition of the ions on the laser radiation density is found for a number of metals. It is established that the amount of multiply charged ions predominates over low-charged ones when the radiation density grows. An explanation is given for the fact that singly charged ions prevail over multiply charged ones at the end of laser-induced plasma spread. The influence of recombination on the ion distribution in the mass spectrum is estimated.
