Thee + e ?K + K ? cross section has been measured from about 750 events in the energy interval \(1350 \leqq \sqrt s \leqq 2400 MeV\) with the DM2 detector at DCI. TheK ± form factor |F F ±| cannot be explained by the ρ, ω, ? and ρ′(1600). An additional resonant amplitude at 1650 MeV has to be added as suggested by a previous experiment.  相似文献

Various catalytically active antibodies (Abs), or abzymes, have been detected recently in the sera of patients with autoimmune pathologies, in whom their presence is probably associated with autoimmunization. Normal humans are generally not considered to have abzymes, since no obvious immunizing factors are present. Here is shown by different methods that IgG from the milk of normal females possesses both DNase and RNase activities. The activities were also present in the IgG F(ab′)2 and Fab fragments. Affinity modification of IgG by the chemically reactive derivative of an oligonucleotide led to preferential modification of the L chain of IgG. After separation of the subunits by sodium dodecyl sulfate electrophoresis in a gel containing DNA, an in-gel assay showed DNase activity in the L chain. The L chain separated by affinity chromatography on DNA-cellulose was catalytically active. These findings speak in favor of the generation of cat alytic Abs by the immune system of healthy mothers. It is known that the treatment of adults with DNases and RNases offers protection from viral and bacterial diseases. Since breast milk protects the infants from infec tions until the immune system is developed, this raises the possibility that catalytic Abs like nucleases, may possess a protective role.  相似文献

During the last half of century, Classical Nucleation Theory (CNT) has been developed and there have been advances in the molecular theory of nucleation. Most of these efforts have been directed towards small molecule system modeling using intermolecular potentials. Summarizing the nucleation theory, it can be concluded that the current theory is far from complete. Agreement is generally not obtained between experimental and theoretical results. In practical applications, parametric theories can be used for the systems of interest. However, experimental measurements are still the best source of information on nucleation. Experiments are labor intensive and costly, and thus, it is useful to extend the value of limited experimental measurements to a broader range of nucleation conditions. The available nucleation parameters represent only small regions of possible nucleation conditions over the range from the critical temperature to absolute zero. Thus, it is useful to develop better tools to use the data to estimate semi-empirical nucleation rate surfaces. Following our published approach, the nucleation rate surface for any system can be constructed over its phase diagram. This concept involves using the phase equilibrium diagram to establish lines of zero nucleation rates. Nucleation rate surfaces arise from equilibrium lines and their extensions that are representing unstable equilibria. Only limited experimental data is available for use in normalizing the slopes of the linearized nucleation rate surfaces. The nucleation rate surface is described in terms of steady-state nucleation rates. To design the surfaces of nucleation rates, several assumptions are presented. In the present study, an algorithm for the semi-empirical design of nucleation rate surfaces is introduced. The topology of the nucleation rate surface for a unary system using the example of water vapor nucleation is created semi-empirically. The nucleation of two concurrent (stable and unstable) phase states of critical embryos is considered in the context of multi-surface nucleation rates. Only one phase transition (melting) in the condensed state of water is considered for simplicity. The nucleation rate surface is constructed numerically using the available experimental results for vapor nucleation and phase diagram for water. The nucleation rate for water vapor is developed for the full temperature interval, i.e. from critical point to absolute zero. The results help to suggest a new direction for experimental nucleation research.  相似文献

The concept of enzyme-assisted substrate sensing based on use of fluorescent markers to detect the products of enzymatic reaction has been investigated by fabrication of micron-scale polyelectrolyte capsules containing enzymes and dyes in one entity. Microcapsules approximately 5 μm in size entrap glucose oxidase or lactate oxidase, with peroxidase, together with the corresponding markers Tris(4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline)ruthenium(II) dichloride (Ru(dpp)) complex and dihydrorhodamine 123 (DHR123), which are sensitive to oxygen and hydrogen peroxide, respectively. These capsules are produced by co-precipitation of calcium carbonate particles with the enzyme followed by layer-by-layer assembly of polyelectrolytes over the surface of the particles and incorporation of the dye in the capsule interior or in the multilayer shell. After dissolution of the calcium carbonate the enzymes and dyes remain in the multilayer capsules. In this study we produced enzyme-containing microcapsules sensitive to glucose and lactate. Calibration curves based on fluorescence intensity of Ru(dpp) and DHR123 were linearly dependent on substrate concentration, enabling reliable sensing in the millimolar range. The main advantages of using these capsules with optical recording is the possibility of building single capsule-based sensors. The response from individual capsules was observed by confocal microscopy as increasing fluorescence intensity of the capsule on addition of lactate at millimolar concentrations. Because internalization of the micron-sized multi-component capsules was feasible, they could be further optimized for in-situ intracellular sensing and metabolite monitoring on the basis of fluorescence reporting.  相似文献
