Inhomogeneities in silicon p-n-junctions

Latent macroscopic defects in silicon are detected by electrical and electron microscope measurements. They lead to anomalous temperature dependence of the Fermi level position and growth in the hole capture coefficient. A level with energy of 0.55 eV measured from the conduction zone controls the recombination process. It is proposed that macroscopic defects develop upon association of oxygen-silicon vacancy complexes. Acid-catalyzed acylation of 4-alkyl-3-azapyrylium salts and the synthesis of 4-acylaminopyrylium salts

(α-Nitroalkyl)-ONN-azoxysulfones and some of their transformations

A regioselective method for the synthesis of [(-nitroalkyl)-ONN-azoxy]alkyl- and-arylsulfones by oxidative condensation of pseudonitroles with aliphatic and aromatic sulfamides under the action of dibromoisocyanurate (DBI) was proposed. The behavior of the azoxysulfones obtained toward acids and bases as well as futher transformations of the products of acid hydrolysis into salts and halo-derivatives of nitroalkylazoxysulfones were investigated.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Reaction of haloadamantanes with salts of nitro compounds

Silver and mercury salts of nitro compounds react with bromo- or chloroadamantanes with the formation of products of C- and/or O-alkylation, the ratio of which depends on the structure of the initial reactants. The direct experimental evidence of nitronic esters to be isomerized into nitro derivatives and of their role as intermediates in the formation of the nitro derivatives in the alkylation of nitro compounds has been presented for the first time.N. Reaction of β-aminopropionohydroxamic acid with aldehydes and ketones

β-Aminopropionohydroxamic acid reacts with aliphatic aldehydes or ketones to give 2-substituted 1-hydroxytetrahydropyrimidin-6-ones, while its reaction with aromatic carbonyl compounds leads to either the same products or Schiff's bases, which can exist in tautomeric equilibrium in solution. Reaction of 1,1-disubstituted hydrazines with bromine in the presence of aryl- and heteroarylnitroso compounds in acid media: A general method for the synthesis of 1-aryl(heteroaryl)-3,3-disubstituted triazene 1-oxides

We have worked out a method for the synthesis of 1,3,3-trisubstituted triazene 1-oxides based upon reaction of 1,1-disubstituted hydrazines with bromine in the presence of aryl- and heteroarylnitroso compounds in acid media. Obtained are a broad range of triazene 1-oxides, among which hitherto unknown compounds of the series of pyrazole and 3,3-dialkyltriazene 1-oxides that contain functional groups at the alkyl part of the molecule. We propose a reaction scheme which includes in situ formation of diazenium cations and reaction of them with nitroso compounds that are present in the system. By means of PMR,¹³C, and¹⁴N NMR spectroscopy, and mass spectroscopy, it has been shown that in all the prepared compounds the oxidated nitrogen atom is at the N¹ position of the triazene N-oxide group.N.
