(001) textured PbTiO3 thin films have been deposited on (001) redopingn-Si substrates by metalorgnic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) under reduced pressure, and the film ferroelectricity has been measured using the substrate as bottom electrode directly. Besides this investigation, a set of analysis including AFM surface morphology, SEM cross section morphology, electron-probe element analysis, XRD 0-20 scan and high temperature X-ray diffraction have been carried out to study the microstructure and phase transition process of the PbTiO3 thin film.  相似文献

In this work several hydrogels were obtained with two different poly(vinyl alcohol)s/PVAs as the main polymer in aqueous solutions containing 10% of PVA, 0.6% of agar, and 0.6% of κ-carrageenan (KC), cross-linked by gamma-rays from a 60Co irradiation source. The PVAs tested have different degrees of hydrolysis and viscosities at 4% with values closed to 30 mPa s. The aqueous polymeric solutions were prepared using two distinct processes: the simple process of heating–stirring and that of making use of an autoclave. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of the dissolution process by means of both methods on the hydrogels’ properties obtained. These were investigated by means of degree of cross-linking/gel fraction, degree of swelling in water, and some mechanical properties. The results that are obtained for hydrogels synthesized from solutions of PVA, agar, KC, and blends thereof prepared by both dissolution processes showed higher degrees of swelling for hydrogels from the autoclaved polymer solutions than those from the solutions prepared by simple heating–stirring process. Furthermore, their hydrogels containing totally hydrolyzed PVA displayed higher tensile strength and lower elongation properties.  相似文献

We report here the creation of color centers in commercial, transparent PMMA samples by ultrashort pulses from a Ti:Sapphire laser emitting at 800 nm, with spatial control. Although the 800 nm photon energy is not sufficient to ionize the polymer, the centers are created following a multiphotonic absorption that causes the ionization. We propose that the free electrons quivering motion on the pulse electric field displaces atoms from its equilibrium positions, creating free radicals and double bonds that coalesce into color centers. The absorption and emission spectra of the centers were measured, but a dose-like curve could not be built due to the presence of damages created along with the centers that scatter the excitation and emission lights due to the commercial sample's poor optical quality.  相似文献

Grafting of styrene followed by sulfonation onto poly(ethylene-alt-tetrafluoroethylene) (ETFE) was studied for synthesis of ion exchange membranes. Radiation-induced grafting of styrene onto ETFE films was investigated after simultaneous irradiation (in post-irradiation condition) using a 60Co source. The ETFE films were irradiated at 20 kGy dose at room temperature and chemical changes were monitored after contact with styrene for grafting. The post-irradiation time was established at 14 days when the films were remained in styrene/toluene 1:1 v/v. After this period the grafting degree was evaluated in the samples. The grafted films were sulfonated using chlorosulfonic acid and 1, 2-dichloroethane 20:80 (v/v) at room temperature for 5 h. The membranes were analyzed by infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), thermogravimetric measurements (TG) and degree of grafting (DOG). The ion exchange capacity (IEC) of membranes was determined by acid–base titration and the values for ETFE membranes were achieved higher than Nafion® films. Preliminary single cell performance was made using pure H2 and O2 as reactants at a cell temperature of 80 °C and atmospheric gas pressure. The fuel cell performance of ETFE films was satisfactory when compared to state-of-art Nafion® membranes.  相似文献

The polyphenol trans-resveratrol is a natural phytoalexin, which is found in red wine and in a wide variety of plant species. Resveratrol displays a wide array of biological activities, such as modulation of lipid metabolism, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities. This active compound immobilized in polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) hydrogel could be very interesting for topical administration, as a dressing form for dermatological use. However, PVP hydrogel obtained by radiation-induced crosslinking can cause undesirable hydrolysis reactions in the active compound. The aim of this work was to verify the resveratrol stability after irradiation at 0.5 and 1 kGy in the presence of ethanol, methanol or tert-butyl alcohol. The integrity of these samples was compared to unirradiated resveratrol by HPLC. The PVP hydrogel matrix was characterized by gel fraction, swelling and in vitro biocompatibility test. The results of gel fraction and swelling degree were approximately 90% and 1600%, respectively. The cytotoxicity assay showed absence of toxicity for this formulation after crosslinking and sterilization, indicating that the PVP hydrogel formulation was appropriate for resveratrol immobilization to produce a dressing for dermatological use.  相似文献

The interest in biocompatible hydrogels with particular properties has increased considerably in recent years due to their versatile applications in biomedicine, biotechnology, pharmacy, agriculture and controlled release of drugs. The use of hydrogels matrices for particular drug-release applications has been investigated with the synthesis of modified polymeric hydrogel of PVAl and 0.5, 1.0, 1.5% nano-clay. They were processed using gamma radiation from Cobalt-60 source at 25 kGy dose. The characterization of the hydrogels was conducted and toxicity was evaluated. The dried hydrogel was analyzed for thermogravimetry analysis (TGA), infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and swelling in solutions of different pH. The membranes have no toxicity. The nano-clay influences directly the equilibrium swelling.  相似文献

HMS-PP in grains was synthesized by the gamma irradiation of PP under a crosslinking atmosphere of acetylene, followed by thermal treatment for radical recombination and thermal treatment for annihilation of the remaining radicals. The UV stability of the material was evaluated in pellet form. The accelerated weathering test of HMS-PP samples were performed under artificial ultra-violet light and in a condensation chamber Comexim (C-UV type) apparatus with UV exposure for 120 and 240 h. The results were compared to those from ageing caused by sunlight and dew under natural exposition. This work investigated changes in mechanical proprieties (elongation and rupture strength), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), optical microscopy (MO), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and rheological properties of HMS-PP after the UV ageing. We find that the HMS-PP has more degradation than regular PP and undergoes predominate chain scission in aggressive UV ageing conditions.  相似文献

Thin films of isotactic polypropylene (iPP) are of great economical importance and their production is quite challenging due to the need of very fast uniaxial or biaxial expansion. During the expansion, critical problems usually arise, like structure disruption, shear thinning, causing material, energy and time losses. This work aims to study the surface morphology and compare the thermal, mechanical properties of PP films irradiated by gamma ray in an acetylene atmosphere after uniaxial expansion. PP films were made by compression molding at 190 °C with cooling in water at room temperature and irradiated by gamma ray, at (5, 12.5 and 20 kGy) under acetylene atmosphere. After irradiation the samples were submitted to thermal treatment at 90 °C for 1 h and then stretched out at 170 °C using an Instron machine. The surface of PP films, pristine and modified, (i.e., irradiated), was studied using optical microscopy (OM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The changes in morphology, crystallinity and tensile parameters, like yield stress, rupture stress and elongation strain of the PP with irradiation dose were investigated. The results showed some evidences of gel formation due to crosslinking and/or long chain branching induced by radiation.  相似文献

The degradation of high molecular weight isotactic polypropylene (iPP) subjected to gamma rays irradiation up to 100 kGy in inert atmosphere was analyzed. The investigation relied upon complex viscosity, elastic modulus, gel fraction, morphology of the insoluble fraction and deconvoluted molecular weight distribution (MWD) curves. At low irradiation doses, already at 5 kGy, the MWD curve is strongly shifted to the low molecular weight side showing chain scission, which is confirmed using the calculated chain scission distribution function (CSDF). At high dose levels, the appearance of a shoulder in the high molecular weight side of the MWD curve indicates the formation of chain branching. The presence of a considerable insoluble fraction at these high dose levels indicates also the formation of cross-linking, which has different morphology then the insoluble fraction present in the original iPP. The rheological results show changes in the molecular structure of irradiated samples in agreement with the gel content data. The chromatographic and rheological data has shown that gamma irradiation of iPP produces chain scission, branching and cross-linking.  相似文献

The mitigation of oxidative degradation under γ-irradiation promoted by eight commercial antioxidants: Ethanox 330, Hostanox O3, Irganox 1010, Topanol OC, Ionox 220, Santonox R, Santowhite, Cyanox 2246 loaded onto ethylene-propylene terpolymer at the concentration of 0.5 phr in respect of a pristine polymer was studied. The polymer samples were exposed to various doses up to 500 kGy. The kinetic parameters of oxidations: oxidation induction times, onset oxidation temperature, oxidation rates were evaluated by CL measurements. They validated the differences in the stabilisa-tion activities by limitation of the oxidation gradient. The high efficiency of some of the antioxidants studied, such as Ionox 220 and Santowhite, ensured the delay in degradation even at a high irradiation dose (500 kGy). For the environments with γ-radiation exposure, a relevant sequence in the increasing protection efficiency could be established: Topanol OC; Hostanox O3; Irganox 1010; Cyanox 2246; Santonox R; Ionox 220; Santowhite. The FT-IR spectra were recorded for the calculation of the radiochemical yields resulting from the modifications occuring in the concentrations of oxygenated structures. The accumulations of hydroxyl- and carbonyl-containing products were calculated to evaluate the irradiation effects in EPDM-based products during a severe accident. The options for EPDM stabilisation are discussed based on chemiluminescence and FTIR analyses.  相似文献
