Tributylphosphate (TBP), solvent used as extractant for reprocessing spent nuclear fuel, can dimerise under radiolysis. This occurs by radical radical recombination, leading to 10 isomeric dimers (TBP-TBP). These species are complexation agents and are responsible of fission product retention in the organic phase that increases the solvent degradation. In order to limit their formation two free radical inhibitors (In), isopropyl and 1,4-diisopropylbenzenes, were used. These additives reduce by about 50% the concentration of TBP-TBP dimers but this reduction is not strictly followed by TBP regeneration as mixed coupling products from TBP and inhibitor are detected. By using GC-MS-MS and selectively deuterated compounds, the identification of these different isomers (TBP-In) has been realised. From these identifications and from the analysis of the proportion of the different isomers, the major primary TBP radical generated under radiolysis was determined.  相似文献

Acetylcholinesterase is irreversibly inhibited by organophosphate and carbamate insecticides allowing its use in biosensors for detection of these insecticides. Anaerobic microorganisms of the Geobacter genus are effective electron sources for the synthesis of nanoparticles, for bioremediation of polluted water, and for the production of electricity in fuel cells. In multistep reactions, electrons are transferred via iron/heme cofactors of c‐type cytochromes from the inner cell membrane to extracellular metal ions, which are bound to outer membrane cytochromes. We measured electron production and electron flux rates to 5×105 e s?1 per G. sulfurreducens. Remarkably, these rates are independent of the oxidants, and follow zero order kinetics. It turned out that the microorganisms regulate electron flux rates by increasing their Fe2+/Fe3+ ratios in the multiheme cytochromes whenever the activity of the extracellular metal oxidants is diminished. By this mechanism the respiration remains constant even when oxidizing conditions are changing. This homeostasis is a vital condition for living systems, and makes G. sulfurreducens a versatile electron source.  相似文献

Sortin1 is a chemical genetic-hit molecule that causes specific mislocalization of plant and yeast-soluble and membrane vacuolar markers. To better understand its mode of action, we designed a Sortin1-hypersensitive screen and identified several Sortin1-hypersensitive and flavonoid-defective mutants. Mechanistically, Sortin1 mimics the effect of the glutathione inhibitor buthionine sulfoximine and alters the vacuolar accumulation of flavonoids, likely blocking their transport through vacuole-localized ABC transporters. Structure-activity relationship studies conducted in Arabidopsis revealed the structural requirements for Sortin1 bioactivity and demonstrated that overlapping Sortin1 substructures can be used to discriminate between vacuolar-flavonoid accumulations and vacuolar-biogenesis defects. We conclude that Sortin1 is a valuable probe for dissecting novel links among flavonoid transport, vacuolar integrity, and the trafficking of vacuolar targeted cargoes in Arabidopsis.  相似文献

In a previous series of papers, a model for the calculation of CO2-air absorption coefficients taking line-mixing into account and the corresponding database/software package were described and widely tested. In this study, we present an update of this package, based on the 2008 version of HITRAN, the latest currently available. The spectroscopic data for the seven most-abundant isotopologues are taken from HITRAN. When the HITRAN data are not complete up to J″=70, the data files are augmented with spectroscopic parameters from the CDSD-296 database and the high-temperature CDSD-1000 if necessary. Previously missing spectroscopic parameters, the air-induced pressure shifts and CO2 line broadening coefficients with H2O, have been added. The quality of this new database is demonstrated by comparisons of calculated absorptions and measurements using CO2 high-pressure laboratory spectra in the 1.5-2.3 μm region. The influence of the imperfections and inaccuracies of the spectroscopic parameters from the 2000 version of HITRAN is clearly shown as a big improvement of the residuals is observed by using the new database. The very good agreements between calculated and measured absorption coefficients confirm the necessity of the update presented here and further demonstrate the importance of line-mixing effects, especially for the high pressures investigated here. The application of the updated database/software package to atmospheric spectra should result in an increased accuracy in the retrieval of CO2 atmospheric amounts. This opens improved perspectives for the space-borne detection of carbon dioxide sources and sinks.  相似文献

Self-guided propagation of femtosecond laser pulses is studied for a converging-beam configuration. Channeling of the pulse energy through various gases is observed over distances well beyond the lens focal point, a fact that cannot be explained by the moving-focus model. Multiwalled carbon nanotubes have unique properties allowing their use in a wide range of applications—from microelectronics to biomedical and polymer fields. Nevertheless, a crucial aspect for their use resides in the ease of handling them during the process. Here, we report a facile route to prepare multiwalled carbon nanotubes@octavinyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (MWCNT@POSS) nanocomposite. The method involves the formation of a covalent bond between carboxylated MWCNTs and OV-POSS using acid-catalyzed electrophilic addition reaction. The resulting nanocomposite have been characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), powder X-Ray diffraction (PXRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The results confirmed that the formation of MWCNT@POSS nanocomposite did not deteriorate MWCNT structure or morphology. Here, we used a 1:1 ratio of carboxylated MWCNTs and OV-POSS and the POSS content in the nanocomposite was 39.5 wt%.  相似文献
