Erythrocyte membrane permeability coefficients have been determined for a series of amides by a method based on the physical and mathematical modelling of hypotonic haemolysis process. The results show that penetration of the substances occurs by two alternative ways through aqueous pores formed by proteins and by the direct dissolving of the molecules in membrane lipids. This conclusion can be confirmed by the correlation analysis between permeability coefficients of native erythrocytes and those pre-incubated with the monosodium salt of p-chloromercuribenzenesulfonic acid (pCMBS), and the partition coefficients of the substances in hydrophilic-hydrophobic phases. Penetration of substances through hydrophilic channels is limited by the sterical factor and diameter in particular. Permeability coefficients for erythrocytes pre-incubated with pCMBS increase in an accordance with the rise of the partition coefficients with correlation coefficient of 0.94, thereby indicating a lipid route of permeation of molecules through erythrocyte membranes. 相似文献

Ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) and vibrating-sample magnetometer techniques were used to study the nature of the structural characteristics of yttrium iron garnet films deposited through either liquid phase epitaxy or laser evaporation on a (111)-oriented gallium gadolinium garnet substrate. It was proved that, based on the experimentally observed cubic magnetic anisotropy, deposited films should be considered to be single crystals. However, the absence of the FMR domain branch in a nonsaturated film and the shape of the magnetization curve indicate that a deposited film when demagnetized does not have a domain structure, as would be expected for a single-crystal film. According to the model proposed, a deposited film consists of close-packed single-crystal fragments with equal crystallographic orientation, the boundaries between which are in a partially atomically disordered state. As a result, such a film is both locally and macroscopically anisotropic, like a continuous single crystal. This film can split into domains only within a fragment (as is the case in a magnetic granular polycrystal); however, this does not happen, because the linear dimensions of a submicroscopic fragment are smaller than the equilibrium domain width. 相似文献

We have generalized the results of long-term studies of coexisting forms of a series of metals (Al, Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, Cr, Pb, Mo, Cd, and V) in surface water bodies of Ukraine, differing in the hydrological regime and the water chemical composition (rivers, reservoirs, lakes, and ponds). The studied metals content has ranged widely, the concentrations of aluminum, iron, and manganese being typically the highest, and the concentration of molybdenum, vanadium, and cadmium being typically the lowest. The ratio between the suspended and the dissolved forms of the metals has been established. Iron and aluminum migrate mostly as part of the suspended matter, whereas the other metals mainly migrate in the dissolved state. The dissolved manganese form predominates in the water bodies under anaerobic conditions. Copper and molybdenum are present almost always in the dissolved state, regardless of the water body type. The data on the relative content of the labile metal fraction (potentially toxic to aquatic organisms) are reported. The relatively low content of this fraction has been found to be majorly owing to the metal ions complexing with natural organic ligands. The humic compounds, the most widespread group of natural organic compounds, play the primary role in the complexation. Even metals with variable oxidation state (Cr, Mo, and V) are found mainly in the form of anionic complexes with the humic substances. Carbohydrates are also involved in the metals binding in the highly bioproductive water bodies, thus increasing the mass fraction of the neutral complexes during the summer and autumn periods. The molecular weight distribution of anionic metal complexes has been discussed; the substantial part of the metals constitutes the compounds with the molecular weight of below 5.0 kDa. 相似文献

We report measurements of acoustic phonon emission from a weakly coupled AlAs/GaAs superlattice (SL) under vertical electron transport. The phonons were detected using superconducting bolometers. A peak (resonance) was observed in emission parallel to the SL growth axis when the electrical energy drop per SL period matched the energy of the first SL mini-Brillouin zone-center phonon mode. This peak was mirrored by an increase of the differential conductance of the SL. These results are evidence for stimulated emission of terahertz phonons as previously predicted theoretically and suggest that such a SL may form the basis of a SASER (sound amplification by stimulated emission of radiation) device. 相似文献
