Mechanism for polymerization of ε-caprolactam in the presence of both sodium and aluminum caprolactamate was investigated at 171°C. The role of Al(Cap)3 as an initiator was revealed. The apparent rate constant of propagation reaction decreased with the increase in the concentration of Al(Cap)3, as the two different metal salts interact even at 171°C. The activation energy of the overall polymerization reaction with this catalyst system was estimated to be 41.18 kcal/mole.  相似文献

The high molecular weight polymer of α-piperidone, which had been unobtainable with the use of alkali metal, trialkyl aluminum, or Grignard reagent as catalyst, was prepared with M–AlEt3, (where M is alkali metal), MAlEt4 or KAlEt3 (piperidone) as catalyst and N-acyl-α-piperidone as initiator. From the determination of the behavior of the solution viscosity of poly-α-piperidone in m-cresol at 30°C. the value of 0.27 for the Huggins constant was obtained. Examination of the correlation between the number-average molecular weight, determined by endgroup titration, and the intrinsic viscosity gave a somewhat small value for the endgroup COOH. This may be considered due to the consumption of N-acyl-α-piperidone by a propagating polymer in the course of polymerization. The thermal stabilities of the polyamides, nylons 4, 5, and 6, was in the order nylons 6 > 5 > 4 according to differential thermal and thermogravimetric analyses, Poly-α-piperidone, which has a reduced viscosity of 0.7, shows a melting point of 270°C.. which was expected from the zigzag pattern of the correlation between melting points and numbers of CH2 groups for polyamino-acid polymers.  相似文献

Abstract Treatment of imbibed embryonic axes taken from seeds of Pisum sativum with N-phenylimide S-23142, a herbicide that has been suggested to inhibit protoporphyrin synthesis, or with N -methyl mesoporphyrin IX, an inhibitor of the iron chelatase for heme, resulted in a significant decrease in the amount of spectrophotometrically detectable phytochromc in the axes in both cases. However, the amount of immunochemically detectable phytochrome was not affected by either treatment. If S-23142 inhibits the synthesis of protoporphyrin IX in pea, it appears that the conversion of protoporphyrinogen IX to protoporphyrin IX is involved in the biosynthesis of the phytochrome chromophore. The conversion of protoporphyrin IX to heme (Fe-protoporpbyrin) also appears to be a step in the biosynthesis of the chromophore, since N -methyl mesoporphyrin IX prevented the synthesis of spectrophotometrically detectable phytochrome but did not affect the magnesium chelatase activity required for the synthesis of chlorophyll in pea embryonic axes. The results suggest that protoporphyrinogen IX, protoporphyrin IX and heme are intermediates in the biogenesis of the phytochromc chromophore. The pathway to phytochromobilin might become fixed after protoporphyrin IX, being directed toward the Fe branch for heme rather than to the Mg branch for chlorophyll.  相似文献

In this paper we report the isolation, chemical characterization and structural elucidation of Ansamitocin, a new antitumor antibiotic obtained from Nocardia No. C-15003 (N-1). Ansamitocin P-3, P-3' and P-4 with molecular formulae C32H43ClN2O9, C32H43ClN2O9 and C33H45ClN2O9, respectively, were identified as novel antibiotics. Their UV spectra resemble that of maytansine obtained from a plant source. Analysis of the PMR spectrum and spin-decoup studies of P-3 demonstrated that its skeletal structure was the same as that of maytansine. Reductive cleavage of each antibiotic gave maytansinol (P-0). Alkali hydrolysis of P-3, P-3' and P-4 gave isobutyric, butyric and isovaleric acids, respectively. P-3, P-3' and P-4 were concluded to be the isobutyrate, butyrate and isovalerate ester of maytansinol at C-3, respectively. An antitumor plant product, maytanacine, and its semisynthetic derivative, maytansinol propionate, were also produced by the same strain.  相似文献

Macbecin I 1, C30H42N2O8, and macbecin II 2, C30H44N2O8, were shown to be 2,6-disubstituted benzoquinone and hydroquinone derivatives by an oxidation-reduction relationship, UV. 1H and 13C NMR spectra. Alkaline methanolysis of 1 gave a 2-aminobenzoquinone derivative 5, suggesting an ansa-structure for 1, and acid hydrolysis of 1 gave decarbamoyl products 9,10 and 11, indicative of the location of carbamoyloxy group in allylic position. Spin decoupling studies on 1,3 and 5clarified the partial structures [A], [B], [C] and [D]. From their mutual disposition two structures 1a and 1b, were proposed out of which 1a has been selected for the structure of 1 on the basis of the structure of oxidative degradation product 12. X-Ray analysis of the bromoacetyl derivative of 1 confirmed the above proposed structure and determined the absolute stereochemistry of 1 and 2.  相似文献

Abstract— The exact quantity of phytochrome in crude homogenates (2kS) prepared from embryonic axes of Pisum sativum during imbibition at 25°C on 0,2% agar was estimated optically. The problem of the scattering factor was solved by using highly purified phytochrome as an internal standard. The content of phytochrome protein moiety in diluted samples of the crude homogenates of the axes was also determined by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Phytochrome was not detectable either spectropho-tometrically or immunochemically in 2kS of dormant dry axes. Embryonic axes quickly absorbed water during the first1–2 h after the start of imbibition, after which the fresh weight stayed at a constant level for a further 10 h. The content of spectrophotometrically detectable phytochrome increased during imbibition in the dark, reaching about 0.2 μ.g/axis after 12 h. The amount of phytochrome in 2kS of axes in the light was so small that only about 0.05 μg/axis was detected after 12 h. The content of immunochemically detectable phytochrome greatly increased up to ca. 0.5 μg/axis after 12 h of dark incubation. In 2kS of the light-grown axes the content of the phytochrome protein was ca. one fourth lower than in dark-grown axes. We conclude that the appearance and increase of phytochrome in fragments of imbibed embryonic axes were caused by de novo synthesis and that the contents of both photometrically detectable phytochrome and its protein moiety in the light-grown samples were lower than those in the dark throughout the early germination process.  相似文献

Solubilization of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, n-propylbenzene, n-butylbenzene, n-pentylbenzene, and n-hexylbenzene into micelles of decanoyl-N-methylglucamide (Mega-10) was studied, where equilibrium concentrations of the above solubilizates were determined spectrophotometrically at 303.2 K. The concentration of the above solubilizates remained constant below the critical micelle concentration (cmc) and increased linearly with an increase in Mega-10 concentration above the cmc. The Gibbs free energy change of the solubilizates from the aqueous bulk to the liquid solubilizate phase was evaluated from the dependence of their aqueous solubility on the alkyl chain length of the solubilizates, which leads to -3.46 kJ mol-1 for DeltaG(0)(CH), the energy change per CH2 group of the alkyl chain. The first stepwise solubilization constant (K(overline)1 ) was evaluated from the slope of the change of solubilizate concentration versus Mega-10 concentration. The Gibbs free energy change (DeltaG(0,s)) for the solubilization decreased linearly with the carbon number of the alkyl chain of the solubilizates, from which DeltaG(0,s)(CH2) as evaluated to be -2.71 kJ mol-1. The similar values above clearly indicate that the location of the alkyl chain is a hydrophobic micellar core, which is also supported by the absorption spectrum of the solubilized molecules.  相似文献

Low-temperature polymerization of α-pyrrolidone, α-piperidone, and ?-caprolactam was examined by using the salts derived from NaAlEt4 and monomer, sodium lactamates, or the salt derived from AlEt3 and monomer as catalyst and with N-acetyl lactams, ethyl acetate, or lactones as initiator. Sodium lactamate catalyst gave unsatisfactory results in the cases of ethyl acetate or lactones initiators, and gave the following order for the relative efficiency of initiators: N-acetyl lactam > ?-caprolactone ≥ ethyl acetate > β-propiolactone. The polymerization results obtained by the salt from NaAlEt4 catalyst–ethyl acetate initiator system were nearly the same as those with N-acetyl lactam. The increases in the degree of polymerization and in the yield of polymer were observed in case of the salt from NaAlEt4 catalyst-lactone initiator system, particularly in the cases of α-piperidone and ?-caprolactam. Also an incorporation of initiator into polymer chain was observed.  相似文献

Polymerization of five-, six-, and seven-membered lactams by metallic potassium or MAlEt4 (where M is Li, Na, or K) as a catalyst and N-acyl lactam or diphenylketene as an initiator was carried out at temperatures below 80°C. By using MAlEt4 instead of a metallic potassium catalyst in the polymerization of α-piperidone the propagation was continued until the reduced viscosity of polymer reached a value of 0.9. The polymer obtained has a film-forming ability. The experimental results obtained in the gasometry suggest that MAlEt4 reacts with lactam to form such a complex of the type (where M is Li, Na, or K and X is an ethyl or 2-oxo-alkylene-imine group). The resulting complexes are considered to increase the solubility of catalyst and also to protect the polymer endgroups from side reactions by stabilizing the alkali metal as the complex. In addition, the mode of action of diphenylketene as an initiator was revealed by the facts that the corresponding N-diphenylacetyl lactam was obtained from the reaction of diphenyl ketene with lactam and N-diphenylacetyl lactam itself was useful for the polymerization of α-piperidone.  相似文献
