Reaction of 3-Benzoyl-2,3-dibromopropionic Acid with Substituted ortho-Phenylenediamines

3-Benzoyl-2,3-dibromopropionic acid reacts with 4-substituted o-phenylenediamines to give 3-aryl-2-carboxymethylene-1,2-dihydroquinoxalines.     

Condensed systems based on 4-amino-3-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole

1,2,4-Triazolo[3,4-b]-1,3,4-thiadiazines, hydrazones, and -thio adducts were obtained by reactions of 4-amino-3-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole with -bromoacetophenones, aldehydes, and ,-unsaturated ketones. Conditions that promote the cyclocondensation of the -thio adducts to the previously undescribed 1,2,4-triazolo[3,4-b]-1,3,4-thiadiazepines were found. Reactions of β-aroylacrylic acids with 2-aminophenols

3,4-Dihydrobenzo-1,4-oxazin-2-ones were obtained from the corresponding β-aroylacrylic acids and 2-aminophenols. With 2-amino-4(5)-nitrophenols, stable intermediate β-amino adducts (4-aryl-4-oxobutyric acid derivatives) were isolated. Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. Beitr?ge zur titrimetrischen Bestimmung von dimeren Hydroxyaldehyden

Zusammenfassung Es wurden die Möglichkeiten für die titrimetrische Bestimmung von dimerem Glykolaldehyd (Fp: 94–96° C) und dl-Glycerinaldehyd (Fp: 138–141° C) untersucht. Die systematischen Fehler der auf Grund verschiedener funktioneller Gruppen durchführbaren Messungen sind von der Stabilität ihrer cyclischen Halbacetale sowie von den ihrer Depolymerisation folgenden weiteren Gleichgewichten bestimmt. Das aus dem dl-Glycerinaldehyd gebildete Halbacetal besitzt höhere Stabilität als dasjenige aus dem Glykolaldehyd.Mit der Hydrogensulfit-Methode werden 95–96%, mit der Hydroxylamin-Methode dagegen 98–99% vom wahren Wert gefunden.In Wasser gelöst zersetzt sich der Glykolaldehyd verhältnismäßig rasch, und das Gleichgewicht kann durch beide Aldehydreaktionen quantitativ gegen die Monomerenform verschoben werden.Unsere Untersuchungen ergaben, daß die Hydroxylamin-Methode zur Bestimmung der in Form cyclischer Halbacetale kristallisierenden, dimeren Hydroxyaldehyde Vorteile gegenüber der Hydrogensulfit-Methode bietet.Frau Dipl.-Ing. Synthesis of aromatic derivatives of 1,5-benzodiazepine in the reaction of 4-nitro-o-phenylenediamine with chalcone dibromides

The reaction of 4-nitro-o-phenylenediamine with 4-nitro-4-R-chalcone dibromides affords the corresponding -(2-amino-4-nitroanilino)chalcones; x-ray diffraction data indicate that these are the Z-isomers. Experiments have been perfortned to determine the conditions required for cyclization of these compounds into 2, 4-diaryl7(8)-nitro-1, 5-benzodiazepines. In the solid phase or in ethanol solutions, these latter compounds exist primarily in the 3H tautomeric form; but in DMSO solutions, the 1H form predominates.Khar'kov State University, Khar'kov 310077. Reaction of 1,2-Diamino-4,5-diphenylimidazole with 1,3-Diarylpropenones and Their Dibromo Derivatives

The reaction of 1,2-diamino-4,5-diphenylimidazole with 1,3-diarylpropenones and 1,3-diaryl-2,3-dibromopropenones gives dihydro- and heteroaromatic derivatives of 6-hydroxyimidazopyrimidines and also imidazopyrimidines which do not contain the 6-hydroxy group. It was found that the structure of the products depended on the conditions for carrying it the reaction.     

Reaction of 4-nitro-1,2-phenylenedl4mine with 1-(4-R-phenyl)-3-(4-nitrophenyl)propenones

By the reaction of 4-nitro-1,2 phenylenediamine with 1-(p-R-phenyl)-3-(4-nitrophenyl)propenones, Michael adducts with a 1:2 composition have been obtained. A stagewise scheme is proposed for the formation of these compounds. The structure of one of the products has been established by means of x-ray structure analysis.Deceased     

Derivatives of 2H-pyrazolo[4,5-b]-1,4-thiazine

Derivatives of 2H-pyrazolo[4,5-b]-1,4-thiazine, which tend to undergo dimerization at the 2-methylene group were synthesized by reaction of 5-amino-3-methyl-4-thio-1-phenylpyrazole with -bromoacetophenones.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 2, pp. 265–268, February, 1989.     

2-(2-ARYL-2-OXOETHYL)-4H-BENZO-1,4-THIAZIN-3-ONES AS PRODUCTS OF THE REACTION OF 2-AMINOTHIOPHENOL WITH β-AROYLACRYLIC ACIDS

Interaction of 2-aminothiophenol with β-aroylacrylic acids and their dibromo derivatives led to 2-(2-aryl-2-oxoethyl)-4H-benzo-1,4-thiazin-3-ones. The structure of synthesized compounds was confirmed by IR, ¹H, and ¹³C NMR spectra and X-ray analysis.
