Effect of crystallochemical parameters of a piezophase on piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties of a polymer-piezoceramic composite

The piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties of the composites based on HDPE and lead-zirconate-titanate piezoceramics are shown to depend on the crystallochemical parameters of the piezophase. As the electroconductivity of cations and covalence of the B″″-O bonds decrease owing to enhanced adsorption interactions between polymer phases and the piezoceramic, the concentration of charge localization sites increases and the mobility of polymer chains at the interface decreases. As a result, piezoelectric and pyroelectric coefficients tend to increase.

Coumarins of three species of the genusHaplophyllum

The results are given of an investigation of three species of the genusHaplophyllum: H. villosum, H. kowalenskyi, andH. tenue, fromwhich five substances of coumarin nature have been isolated. Of them, two substances (I and II) have been identified as scopoletin and lomatin isovalerate, respectively, while suitable structures have been established for the new compounds tenuidin, villosin, and tenudiol. It has been shown that the coumarin composition of the plants changes with the growth site.     

Level shift of μ mesoatoms and anomalous interaction of muons with nuclei

The effect of the possible anomalous interaction of a muon with nuclei, due to exchange of the muon and the nucleon, with vector V=⁰, , , J/, , and ⁰ mesons, on the level of the mesoatoms is considered. An estimate is carried out of the energy shift of the 2P-1S transition. A comparison of the estimates obtained for the 2P-1S transition energy shift in the mesoatom²⁰⁶Pb with the experimental data does not contradict the presence in the muon of an anomalous interaction with the nucleon, defined by the effective coupling constant /4 4·10^–4.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 6, pp. 75–80, June, 1978.     

Weak neutral currents and neutrino electromagnetic properties

The phenomenological Hamiltonian for weak lepton interaction that contains, along with a charged current V-A interaction, a neutral current V-A interation and the dispersion method are used to study the effect of lepton and nucleon currents on the electromagnetic properties of the neutrino. Investigation of the coumarins and furocoumarins ofHippomarathrum caspium (DC.) Grossh.

Summary 1. Osthole, oxypeucedanin, heraclenin, and oxypeucedanin hydrate have been isolated from the roots ofHippomarathrum caspium (DC) Grossh. and identified; the presence of traces of isoimperatorin, imperatorin, and umbelliferone has been established chromatographically. A substance with mp 149–150° apparently belonging to the sitosterol group has been obtained.2. Comparative characterization of the coumarin composition ofSeseli campestre growing in Moldavia and in the Caucasus

The results are given of the identification of (?)-trans-khellactone and its 4′-methyl ether and (?)-3′(S), 4′(S)-trans-3′-senecioyloxy-4′-angeloyloxy-3′,4′-dihydroseselin and of the establishment of the structure of three new khellactone derivatives — campestrol (VII), C₁₉H₂₂O₆, [α] _D ²⁰ + 32° (c 7.8; chloroform), campestrinol (X), C₂₄H₂₆O₇, mp 116–118°C, and campestrinoside (I), C₂₀H₂₄O₁₀, mp 172–173°C, [α]_D ?272.5° (c 4.7; ethanol). It has been shown on the basis of chemical and spectral characteristics that campesol, earlier described as a new substance, is a mixture of two isomeric compounds — 4′-hydroxy-3′-senecioyloxy-3′,4′-dihydroseselin and 3′-angeloyloxy-4′-hydroxy-3′,4′-dihydroseselin.     

Ionic telomerization of 1-chloro-2,3-epoxypropane with allyl alcohol and properties of products obtained

Ionic telomerization of 1-chloro-2,3-epoxypropane with allyl alcohol in the presence of boron trifluoride etherate as a route to halogenated epoxy oligoethers was studied. Selective chlorination or bromination of the intermediate oligo(chlorohydrin), followed by dehydrochlorination (epoxidation) of the intermediate oligohalohydrins with NaOH, was performed. The synthesized products are effi cient as active diluents for a compound based on ED-20 resin.
