Properties of Monocarboxy Cellulose Containing Sorbed Fe(III), Al(III), and Cr(III) Cations

Sorption of Fe(III), Al(III), and Cr(III) on monocarboxy cellulose at various pH, concentrations of metal chloride or sulfate in solution, and time was studied. The effect of type and amount of the cation sorbed on the physicomechanical properties, swelling, and stability in phosphate buffer of monocarboxy cellulose fibers was considered.     

Specific Features of Cellulose Phase Transition via Knecht Additive Compound

The capability of cotton and wood cellulose in the common and microcrystalline forms to transform into cellulose-II under the action of 68-69% HNO₃ was studied. The influence of temperature on the course of the phase transition in cellulose samples differing in origin and morphological structure and the dynamics of concomitant hydrolytic degradation and esterification of these materials were studied.     

Copolymers of the C9 hydrocarbon fraction of liquid pyrolysis products with maleic anhydride and their esterification products as additives to paper pulp

The influence exerted by copolymers of the C₉ fraction of liquid pyrolysis products of petroleum raw materials with maleic anhydride and by their esterification products, added to paper pulp, on the main paper properties was examined.     

Formation of thin carbon films containing metal nanoparticles by thermolysis of a polymer precursor

A new procedure was developed for preparing carbon films with magnetic metal nanoparticles by thermolysis of a polymer precursor. The conditions for preparing carbon films with required surface concentration of the metal nanoparticles and hence with dielectric or metallic properties were determined.     

Synthesis of Petroleum Polymeric Resin by Cationic Polymerization of the C9 Fraction

Cationic oligomerization of the C₉ fraction of liquid pyrolysis products of petroleum raw materials, catalyzed by aluminum trichloride diphenyl ether complex, was studied, and a procedure was developed for preparation of a petroleum polymeric resin and petroleum polymerizate to be used as film-forming agents in paint-and-varnish materials.     

Influence of the conditions of formation of nitrocellulose honeycomb-structure films on their morphology

Physicochemical features of formation and morphology of submicron honeycomb-structure nitrocellulose films with hexagonal cell symmetry were examined.     

Synthesis and thermal solid-phase transformations of cellulose-iron(II,III) oxide composite

Possibility of obtaining cellulose-iron(II, III) oxide composites with various component ratios was studied. The specific magnetization of the material was determined in relation to the mass fraction of the magnetic component in the composite.     

Copolymerization of styrene and 1-hexene with a TiCl<Subscript>4</Subscript>-Al(C<Subscript>6</Subscript>H<Subscript>13</Subscript>)<Subscript>3</Subscript> · Mg(C<Subscript>6</Subscript>H<Subscript>13</Subscript>)<Subscript>2</Subscript> catalytic system

The copolymerization of styrene and 1-hexene with the TiCl₄-Al(C₆H₁₃)₃ · Mg(C₆H₁₃)₂ catalytic system has been investigated. The microstructure of polymer chains, molecular-mass characteristics, and thermophysical properties of the resulting copolymers have been studied. These copolymers contain 15 to 65 mol % styrene and mostly consist of isotactic polystyrene and poly(1-hexene) blocks.     

Sulfonated Petroleum Polymeric Resins as Plasticizers for Cement Mortars

Sulfonation of petroleum polymeric resins based on the C₉ fraction with various suilfonatic agents was studied, and procedure was developed for preparing sulfonated resins. The possibility of using sulfo resins as effective plasticizers for concrete was examined.
