In this paper, the enthalpy-concentration method was applied in order to model a steady-state continuous methanol–water mixture distillation column. This work includes three steps; first, to develop a code in MATLAB v.7.6 to apply to the mathematical model of the column. The second step is to simulate the column using HYSIS v.3.2. While the third is the calculation of the optimized reflux ratio to minimize the operating cost. For a distillation tower such as the methanol–water splitter in this study, there are relatively few degrees of freedom that can be manipulated in order to minimize operating costs; the reflux ratio can influence the steady-state operating point and therefore the daily costs. In this paper, we have discussed the trade-offs between reflux ratios and operating costs. A correlation is derived to define the optimum value of the reflux ratio as an exponential function of a certain economic parameter of energy prices and depreciation costs. We demonstrate that, at low energy prices or high equipment depreciation costs, the optimum reflux factor is high.  相似文献

In this work, a novel electrochemiluminescent (ECL) pesticide sensor based on zinc oxide nanocrystals decorated nickel foam is proposed for determination of imidacloprid for the first time. The silica film was used as a morphology‐controlling factor for modification of the electrode with zinc oxide nanocrystals. Zinc oxide was selected as luminescent material due to its cheapness, non‐toxicity, high thermal stability and excellent luminescence properties which truly adhered on the surface of nickel foam. The K2S2O8 was used as strong co‐reactant for this purpose. The silica template plays an important role in controlling the size of ZnO nanocrystals. The Physical morphology of the ZnO/Ni‐foam electrode was performed by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, Brunauer‐Emmett‐Teller (BET), X‐Ray diffraction analysis, field emission scanning electron microscopy, and energy‐dispersive X‐ray analysis. The ultra‐sensitive electrochemiluminescence method was successfully used for ultra‐trace determination of imidacloprid. The linear dynamic range and low detection limit were obtained 3×10?14 ?8×10?8 M and 4.4×10?15 M, respectively. Also, the relative standard deviation for 15 repetitive optical signals was calculated 1.09 %.The present ECL sensor exhibited superior performance toward the accurate determination of imidacloprid with good reproducibility and stability.  相似文献

A carbon past electrode modified with [Mn(H2O)(N3)(NO3)(pyterpy)], ( \textpyterpy = 4¢- ( 4 - \textpyridyl ) - 2,2¢:\text6¢,\text2¢¢- \textterpyridine ) \left( {{\text{pyterpy}} = 4\prime - \left( {4 - {\text{pyridyl}}} \right) - 2,2\prime:{\text{6}}\prime,{\text{2}}\prime\prime - {\text{terpyridine}}} \right) complex have been applied to the electrocatalytic oxidation of nitrite which reduced the overpotential by about 120 mV with obviously increasing the current response. Relative standard deviations for nitrite determination was less than 2.0%, and nitrite can be determined in the ranges of 5.00 × 10−6 to 1.55 × 10−2 mol L−1, with a detection limit of 8 × 10−7 mol L−1. The treatment of the voltammetric data showed that it is a pure diffusion-controlled reaction, which involves one electron in the rate-determining step. The rate constant k′, transfer coefficient α for the catalytic reaction, and diffusion coefficient of nitrite in the solution, D, were found to be 1.4 × 10−2, 0.56× 10−6, and 7.99 × 10−6 cm2 s−1, respectively. The mechanism for the interaction of nitrite with the Mn(II) complex modified carbon past electrode is proposed. This work provides a simple and easy approach to detection of nitrite ion. The modified electrode indicated reproducible behavior, anti-fouling properties, and stability during electrochemical experiments, making it particularly suitable for the analytical purposes.  相似文献

This study presents a method for the selective determination of Hg(II) using electromembrane extraction (EME), followed by square wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWASV), using a gold nanoparticle-modified glassy carbon electrode, (AuNP/GCE). By applying an electrical potential of typically 60 V for 12 min through a thin supported liquid membrane (1-octanol), Hg(II) ions are extracted from a donor phase (i.e., the sample solution) to an acidic acceptor solution (15 μL) placed in the lumen of a hollow fiber. The influences of experimental parameters during EME were optimized using face-centered central composite design. The calibration plot, established at a working voltage of 0.55 V (vs. Ag/AgCl), extends from 0.2 to 10 μg.L?1 of Hg(II). The limit of detection, at a signal to noise ratio of 3, is 0.01 μg.L?1 and the relative standard deviations (for 5 replicate determinations at 3 concentration levels) are between 7.5 and 8.7 %. The method was successfully applied to the determination of Hg(II) in spiked real water samples to give recoveries ranging from 89 to 97 %. The results were validated by cold vapor atomic absorption spectroscopy.

Oxygen reduction at the polarized water/1,2-dichloroethane (DCE) interface catalyzed by a Cu (II) coordination polymer (Cu–pol) was studied with two lipophilic electron donors ferrocene (Fc) and tetrathiafulvalene (TTF). The results of the ion transfer voltammetry and two-phase shake flask experiments suggest proceeding of the catalytic reaction as proton-coupled electron transfer reduction of oxygen to hydrogen peroxide and water. In this process, while the protons supplied from the aqueous phase, the electrons provided from the organic phase by the weak electron donor, Fc. The O2 molecule takes a superoxide structure with Cu–pol which resulted to hydrogen peroxide or water on reduction. Furthermore, the results revealed that the apparent rate constant of TTF + Cu-pol is higher than that of Fc + Cu-pol system due to the faster kinetic reaction of TTF with respect to Fc.  相似文献

A PVC membrane electrode for copper ion based on 1,3-dithiane,2-(4-methoxy phenyl) as ionophore and o-nitrophenyl octyl ether as a plasticizer is demonstrated. The electrode exhibits a Nernstian slope of 29.5±1 mV per decade in a linear range of 3.0×10−6 to 5.0×10−2 M for Cu2+ ion. The detection limit of this electrode is 1.0×10−6 mol/l. This sensor has a very short response time of about 5 s and could be used in a pH range of 4.0-7.0. High selectivity was obtained over a wide variety of metal ions. The proposed electrode was successfully applied as an indicator electrode for the potentiometric titration of copper ion with EDTA and for the direct determination of copper in river water.  相似文献

Unsymmetrical benzoN(4) nickel(II) macrocyclic complexes have been explored as an ionophore for preparing PVC-based membrane electrodes selective to SCN(-). The resulting electrode exhibited the best working concentration range (1.4x10(-7)-0.1 M) with a Nernstian slope of (-59.7+/-0.9 mV per decade) in the wide pH range of 3.5-10.5. The proposed electrode has a very fast response time (5 s) and high selectivity for thiocyanate over variety of anions. This sensor was successfully applied as an indicator electrode to potentiometric titration of thiocyanate ion with AgNO(3) and for direct determination of the amount of thiocyanate in urine and saliva samples in order to distinguish between smokers and nonsmokers.  相似文献
