AlN thin films with a thickness in the nanometer range were prepared by pulsed laser deposition technique. We investigated the effect of laser wavelength, pulse duration, and ambient gas pressure on the composition and morphology of the deposited films. In all experiments we used AlN targets. We worked with three laser sources generating pulses of 34 ns@248 nm (source A), 450 fs@248 nm (source B), and 50 fs@800 nm (source C). XRD, SEM, and profilometric measurements were performed on the obtained AlN thin films. We have demonstrated that duration of the laser pulse is an important parameter for the quality and performances of AlN structures obtained by pulsed laser deposition. Mobile phones have become very commonly used worldwide within a short period of time. To date there is only limited knowledge about interaction between electromagnetic fields (EMFs) emitted by mobile phones and the auditory function. Moreover, there is widespread concern that there may be potential for harm. The aim of this study was to assess potential subtle changes in cochlear function by measuring the temporal and spectral fine structure of transiently evoked otoacoustic emissions (TEOAE) in normal hearing subjects after exposure to EMFs emitted by Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) mobile phones. TEOAEs were recorded in 27 healthy young adults before and after 10 min of real or sham exposure in a double-blind design. TEOAE data were analyzed both globally (broadband analysis) and using the Wavelet Transform (analysis of the time-frequency fine structure). The broadband analysis revealed no significant effect on TEOAEs related to exposure, confirming results of previous studies; in addition, no significant change was detected in the analysis of the elementary wavelet components, suggesting that the temporal and spectral fine structure of TEOAEs is not affected by 10 min exposure to low-intensity EMFs emitted by GSM mobile phones.  相似文献

The possibilities of increasing the livingness in cationic isobutylene polymerizations has been investigated. It has been assumed that the living chain-end is polarized but non-dissociated and relatively stable, therefore, i) shifting of the dissociation equilibrium by adding salts with common or non-common anion in excess, and ii) increasing of the stability of the chain-end by complexing it with electrondonors, may increase the livingness of the system. Indeed, the addition of n-Bu4NCl or n-Bu4NI to systems with BCl3 or TiCl4 coinitiators, as well as the addition of dimethyl sulphoxide as electrondonor in a broad concentration range, improved the living character. We developed and validated a gas chromatographic/ion trap mass spectrometric method for the determination of levoglucosan and the related monosaccharide anhydrides, mannosan, galactosan and 1,6-anhydro-beta-D-glucofuranose in urban atmospheric aerosols collected on quartz fiber filters. The method is based on extraction with dichloromethane-methanol (80 : 20, v/v), trimethylsilylation, multiple reaction monitoring in the tandem mass spectrometric mode using the ion at m/z 217, and the use of an internal standard calibration procedure with the structurally related compound methyl beta-L-arabinopyranoside. In addition, the method allows the quantification of other saccharidic compounds, arabitol, mannitol, glucose, fructose, inositol and sucrose, which were found to be important in summer aerosols. The recovery of levoglucosan was estimated by spiking blank filters and was better than 90%. The precision evaluated by analyzing parts of the same filters was about 2% for the monosaccharide anhydrides and 7% for the other saccharidic compounds in the case of a winter aerosol sample, and the corresponding values for a summer aerosol sample were 5% and 8%. The method was applied to urban PM(10) (particulate matter of <10 microm aerodynamic diameter) aerosols collected at Ghent, Belgium, during a 2000-2001 winter and a 2001 summer episode and revealed interesting seasonal variations. While monosaccharide anhydrides were relatively more important during the winter season owing to wood burning, the other saccharidic compounds were more prevalent during the summer season, with some of them, if not all, originating from the vegetation.  相似文献

Bioactive glass (BG), calcium hydroxyapatite (HA), and ZrO2 doped HA thin films were grown by pulsed laser deposition on Ti substrates. An UV KrF* (λ = 248 nm, τ ≥ 7 ns) excimer laser was used for the multi-pulse irradiation of the targets. The substrates were kept at room temperature or heated during the film deposition at values within the (400-550 °C) range. The depositions were performed in oxygen and water vapor atmospheres, at pressure values in the range (5-40 Pa). The HA coatings were heat post-treated for 6 h in a flux of hot water vapors at the same temperature as applied during deposition. The surface morphology, chemical composition, and crystalline quality of the obtained thin films were studied by scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and X-ray diffractometry. The films were seeded for in vitro tests with Hek293 (human embryonic kidney) cells that revealed a good adherence on the deposited layers. Biocompatibility tests showed that cell growth was better on HA than on BG thin films.  相似文献
