Three-dimensional nonlinear finite element analysis is made of the dovetail region in aeroengine compressor disc assemblies using contact elements. The study is devoted to examining the effect of the critical geometrical features, such as flank length, flank angle, fillet radii and skew angle upon the resulting stress field. Frictional conditions at the interface between the disc and the blade are also examined. The finite element predictions were validated using three-dimensional photoelastic stress freezing results. Comparisons with the two-dimensional finite element analysis made earlier by Papanikos and Meguid (Fatigue Fract. Eng. Mater. Struct. 17 (5) (1994) 539–550) of the same geometry reveal certain inadequacies. Specifically, the earlier analysis underestimates the maximum equivalent stress along the interface by as much as 40%. This could have serious implications concerning the safety margins of the disc assembly.  相似文献

Progressive damage modelling of bonded composite repairs   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Presented is a three-dimensional progressive damage model that can assess the mechanical behaviour of bonded composite repairs of cracked metallic plates. The model is able to assess the stress intensity factor (SIF) at the crack tip, patch debonding and damage accumulation in the composite patch as functions of the applied load. Considered are the stress analysis, failure analysis and material property degradation. Stress analysis is performed using a three-dimensional detailed parametric finite element (FE) model developed using the ANSYS FE code. Failure analysis is performed using a set of stress-based polynomial failure criteria. Material property degradation of the failed material (patch and adhesive) is performed using appropriate degradation rules. The three model components have been programmed in the ANSYS FE code creating a user-friendly parametric macro-routine, which can be easily applied to bonded repairs of different materials and configuration.  相似文献

alpha-Ketocarbonyl peptides were generated from peptide precursors on solid support via a metal-ion-catalyzed transamination. The reaction proceeded to completion within 2 h with glyoxylate as electrophile and copper(II) ions as catalyst in an aqueous acetate buffer at pH 5.5-6.0. The variety of naturally occurring alpha-amino acid substrates gave rise to a diverse set of differentially functionalized ketones. The highly reactive terminal ketocarbonyls were prone to aldol-type dimerization and could be transferred into stable moieties by oxime formation, reduction to the alcohol, or reductive amination, respectively. The alpha-ketocarbonyl peptides were efficient in nucleophilic addition of C-nucleophiles such as phosphono-ylides and allylsilanes.  相似文献

A multi-scale representative volume element (RVE) for modeling the tensile behavior of carbon nanotube-reinforced composites is proposed. The RVE integrates nanomechanics and continuum mechanics, thus bridging the length scales from the nano- through the mesoscale. A progressive fracture model based on the modified Morse interatomic potential is used for simulating the behavior of the isolated carbon nanotubes and the FE method for modeling the matrix and building the RVE. Between the nanotube and the matrix a perfect bonding is assumed until the interfacial shear stress exceeds the corresponding strength. Then, nanotube/matrix debonding is simulated by prohibiting load transfer in the debonded region. Using the RVE, a unidirectional nanotube/polymer composite was modeled and the results were compared with corresponding rule-of-mixtures predictions. A significant enhancement in the stiffness of the polymer owing to the adding of the nanotubes is predicted. The effect of interfacial shear strength on the tensile behavior of the nanocomposite was also studied. Stiffness is found to be unaffected while tensile strength to significantly decrease with decreasing the interfacial shear strength.  相似文献

Two new classes of fluorescent dyes have been developed as labels for the red region of the spectrum: amide-bridged benzopyrylium dyes and carbopyronin dyes. The fluorescence quantum yield ranges from 20 to 90%, the decay time from 1 to 4 ns. The pH- and solvent-dependence of absorption and fluorescence are described in detail. A synthetic strategy for the formation of resin-bound internal alpha-keto amide peptides suitable for protease inhibitor screening on solid support is presented. This general approach is based on the incorporation of alpha-keto amide building blocks during solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS). Such dipeptidyl building blocks were accessible using the acylcyanophosphorane methodology. The acid-labile alpha-keto carbonyl functionality was protected as a 1,3-dithiolane derivative. This protective group is fully compatible with standard SPPS reaction conditions and can be efficiently removed with N-bromosuccinimide in 10% aqueous acetone. The alpha-keto amide peptides were assembled on SPOCC-1500 resin and were characterized with high-resolution magic angle spinning (HR-MAS) NMR on bead. The methodology was evaluated and tested with a variety of building blocks containing natural and nonnatural amino acid moieties.  相似文献

The MBOB, broadband HMBC, and broadband XLOC NMR pulse sequences (A. Meissner and O. W. S?rensen (2000, Magn. Reson. Chem. 38, 981-984; 2001, 39, 49-52)) were introduced as a means of obtaining heteronuclear long-range correlation spectra with broadband excitation over an interval of heteronuclear long-range J coupling constants. However, it is not trivial what combination of delays to choose for a given purpose, particularly if one-bond and long-range correlation spectra are obtained simultaneously as in MBOB. This paper presents a way to determine sets of delays for MBOB, broadband HMBC, and broadband XLOC resolving the problem. The results tabulated suit various ranges of J coupling constants and transverse relaxation times.  相似文献

For definitive diagnosis of thalassemia carriers and patients, as well as for prenatal diagnosis, genotype analysis is of fundamental importance. We report a dry-reagent, lateral flow dipstick test that enables visual genotyping (detection by naked eye) of 15 mutations common in Mediterranean populations in the beta-globin gene (HBB). The method comprises 3 simple steps: (i) PCR amplification of a single 1896 bp segment of the beta globin gene flanking all 15 mutations; (ii) a multiplex (10-plex and/or 30-plex) primer extension reaction of the unpurified amplification product using allele-specific primers. Biotin is incorporated in the extended product; (iii) a dry-reagent multi-allele (10-plex) dipstick assay for visual detection of the primer extension reaction products within minutes. The total time required for PCR, primer extension reaction and the dipstick assay is ∼2 h. The method was evaluated by genotyping 45 DNA samples of known genotypes and 54 blind samples. The results were fully concordant with reference methods. The method is simple, rapid, and cost-effective. Detection by the dipstick assay does not require specialized instrumentation or highly qualified personnel. The proposed method could be a particularly useful tool in laboratories with limited resources and a basis for point-of-care diagnostics especially in combination with PCR amplification from whole blood.  相似文献
