Cu(2+) ions are used to follow the sol-gel transition in amino-modified TEOS mixtures. In contrast to unmodified TEOS gels, fixation of the spin probe (Cu(2+)) to the sol particle surface takes place and changes in mobility are detectable. Furthermore, we find changes in the coordination sphere of the copper ions and a temporary loss of EPR intensity. By using a simple kinetic model it is possible to estimate the rate constants of the condensation and syneresis processes.  相似文献

Abstract— The autoxidation of the catecholamine neurotoxin 6-hydroxydopamine (20 μ M ) gave rise to a chemiluminescence which was greatly stimulated by FeSO4 (20 μ M ) or by hydrogen peroxide addition (20 μ M to 2 m M ). The luminescence of both 6-hydroxydopamine alone or 6-hydroxydopamine plus hydrogen peroxide was strongly inhibited by catalase and by superoxide dismutase (both at 10 μg/m/); bovine serum albumin at 10 μg/m/ had no inhibitory effect. The luminescence was also strongly inhibited by several potent hydroxyl radical trapping agents and also by low concentrations of the 1O2 quencher DABCO (l,4-diazabicyclo-2.2.2.-octane). Chemiluminescence was greatly enhanced in D2O, a solvent in which 1O2 has a prolonged lifetime. These data demonstrate the involvement of hydrogen peroxide, the superoxide radical and the hydroxyl radical in the chemiluminescence. The data are also consistent with some role for 1O2.  相似文献

The first carbonyl free ruthenium/low valent Group 13 organyl complexes are presented, obtained by insertion of ER (ER = GaCp*, InCp*, In[C(SiMe(3))(3)]) into the Ru-Cl bonds of [(p-cymene)RuCl2]2, [Cp*RuCl]4 and [Cp*RuCl2]2. The compound [(p-cymene)RuCl2]2 reacts with GaCp*, giving a variety of isolated products depending on the reaction conditions. The Ru-Ru dimers [{(p-cymene)Ru}2(GaCp*)4(mu3-Cl)2] and the intermediate [{(p-cymene)Ru}2(mu-Cl)2] were isolated, as well as monomeric complexes [(p-cymene)Ru(GaCp*)3Cl2], [(p-cymene)Ru(GaCp*)2GaCl3] and [(p-cymene)Ru(GaCp*)2Cl2(DMSO)]. The reaction of [Cp*RuCl]4 with ER gives "piano-stool" complexes of the type [Cp*Ru(ER)3Cl](ER = InCp*, In[C(SiMe3)3], GaCp*. The chloride ligand in complex can be removed by NaBPh4, yielding [Cp*Ru(GaCp*)3]+[BPh4]-. The reaction of [Cp*RuCl2]2 with GaCp* however, does not lead to an insertion product, but to the ionic Ru(II) complex [Cp*Ru(GaCp*)3]+[Cp*GaCl3]-. The ER ligands in complexes 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are equivalent on the NMR timescale in solution due to a chloride exchange between the three Group 13 atoms even at low temperatures. The solid state structures, however, exhibit a different structural pattern. The chloride ligands exhibit two coordination modes: either terminal or bridging. The new compounds are fully characterized including single crystal X-ray diffraction. These results point out the different reactivities of the two precursors and the nature of the neutral p-cymene and the anionic Cp* ligand when bonding to a Ru(II) centre.  相似文献

The silanide [Si4{N(SiMe3)Dipp}3] ( 1 ) transforms into the anionic siliconoid cluster [Si7{N(SiMe3)Dipp}3] ( 2 ) with four unsubstituted silicon atoms as a contact ion pair with [K([18]crown-6)] in C6D6 at room temperature within five weeks. Anion 2 was investigated by natural population analysis and visualization of intrinsic atomic orbitals. Magnetically induced current-density calculations of 2 revealed two distinct strong diatropic vortices that sum up in one direction and create a strongly shielded apical silicon atom in 2 .  相似文献

This paper reviews the use of lipid vesicles as model membranes in capillary electrophoresis (CE). The history and utility of CE in the characterization of microparticles is summarized, focusing on the application of colloidal electromigration theories to lipid vesicles. For instance, CE experiments have been used to characterize the size, surface properties, enclosed volumes, and electrophoretic mobilities of lipid vesicles and of lipoprotein particles. Several techniques involving small molecules or macromolecules separated in the presence of lipid vesicles are discussed. Interactions between the analytes and the lipid vesicles - acting as a pseudostationary phase or coated stationary phase in electrokinetic chromatography (EKC) - can be used to obtain additional information on the characteristics of the vesicles and analytes, and to study the biophysical properties of membrane-molecule interactions in lipid vesicles and lipoproteins. Different methods of determining binding constants by EKC are reviewed, along with the relevant binding constant calculations and a discussion of the application and limitations of these techniques as they apply to lipid vesicle systems.  相似文献

We present studies on bulk smectic‐A copolymer networks with end‐on attached homeotropically oriented mesogens that show spontaneous optical biaxiality at room temperature. Orthoscopic and conoscopic investigations under uniaxial extension in the layer planes give first evidence of the orientability of the minor director in mechanical fields yielding biaxial monodomains with 3‐d orientational long‐range order of all three principle axes. This is an important step towards the synthesis of permanently oriented biaxial monodomain elastomers for which highly interesting mechanical and optical properties are expected.  相似文献

Reaction of the bicyclo[1.1.0]tetrasilatetraamide Si4{N(SiMe3)Dipp}4 1 (Dipp=2,6‐diisopropylphenyl) with 5 equiv of the N‐heterocyclic carbene NHCMe4 (1,3,4,5‐tetramethylimidazol‐2‐ylidene) affords a bifunctional carbene‐coordinated four‐membered‐ring compound with a Si=N group and a two‐coordinate silicon atom Si4{N(SiMe3)Dipp}2(NHCMe4)2(NDipp) 2 . When 2 reacts with 0.25 equiv sulfur (S8), two sulfur atoms add to the divalent silicon atom in plane and perpendicular to the plane of the Si4 ring, which confirms the silylone character of the two‐coordinate silicon atom in 2 .  相似文献
