Manganese and iron complexes of Schiff bases derived from 6-formylkhellin were prepared and characterized. Complexes of o-phenylenediamine derivative (ligand (I)) are monomeric or dimeric whereas those of p-phenylenediamine derivative (ligand (II)) are polymeric. The complexes obtained are characterized by a lower magnetic moment values. The complexes also have different solvent of crystallization with different nature of interaction. The thermal behaviour of the ligands and their metal complexes was investigated by means of DTA, TG, IR and X-ray diffraction spectroscopy. Ligand (I) shows different thermal behaviour from that of ligands (II) and (III). The complexes of ligand (II) give abnormal oxides as a final product during their thermal decomposition. The effect of energetic γ-radiation on 1H NMR, electronic absorption, ESR spectra, differential thermal analysis (DTA) and solid state dc electrical conductivity of the ligand N-phenyl-2-(2-(phenylamino)acetyl)hydrazine carbothioamide (H2L) and its copper(II) complexes; Cu(HL)(OAc)H2O, Cu(HL)BrH2O and Cu(H2L)2(NO3)2?3H2O before and after γ-irradiation (hereafter referred to as (B), (B 1 ), (B 2 ), (B 3 ) and (A), (A 1 ), (A 2 ), (A 3 ), respectively) has been studied. Electronic spectral bands of the complexes after irradiation exhibited some better resolved shapes with a remarkably higher absorbance, ESR spectrum of complex Cu(HL)BrH2O (B 2 ) before irradiation showed isotropic spectrum with g iso = 2.075 however, after irradiation (A 2 ) displayed axial ESR spectrum with g  > g  > 2.0023 and d (x2?y2) ground state. DTA of the compounds reveals that γ-irradiation induced generation of new peaks as well as changes in the peak intensities. Solid state dc electrical conductivity for complexes was investigated before and after γ-irradiation. Complexes were found to be semiconductors, the activation energies (E a) were calculated for the complexes by using the Arrhenius plot.  相似文献

Two novel Schiff base ligands of 2-amino-3-cyano-1,5-diphenylpyrrole and salicylaldehyde (HL1) or 2- hydroxy1-naphthylaldehyde (HL2) and their copper(II) complexes have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, spectral (UV-Vis, IR, EPR, Mass (for ligands)), thermal (DTA-TGA) methods, magnetic and conductance measurements. IR results demonstrate the bidentate binding of the Schiff base ligands involving azomethine nitrogen, phenolic or naphtholic oxygen and suggest the presence of HL2 and complexes (1, 2, 4 and 8) in enolimine-ketonamine tautomeric forms in the solid state. The EPR spectral data of complexes (2, 5, 6) show that the metal — ligand bonds have considerable covalent character. The thermal studies show that complexes (1, 2, 4 and 8) that are present in enolimine-ketonamine tautomeric forms exhibit lower thermal stability. The effect of synthesized ligands (HL1, HL2) and complexes (1, 5) were tested on the mortality of entomopathogenic nematodes (EPN) (Heterorhabditis bacteriophora and Steinernema carpocapsae). The study shows that the mortality of the nematodes increased with increasing concentrations of copper(II) ion, ligands and complexes. Copper(II) ion was the most toxic for EPN.   相似文献

A novel (N6O4) macrocyclic ligand (L) and its Cu(II) complexes have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, spectral, thermal (TG/DTG), magnetic, and conductivity measurements. Quantum chemical calculations have also been carried out at B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p) to study the structure of the ligand and one of its complexes. The results show a novel macrocyclic ligand with potential amide oxygen atom, amide and amine nitrogen atoms available for coordination. Distorted square pyramidal ([Cu(L)Cl]Cl·2.5H2O (1), [Cu(L)NO3]NO(3)·3.5H2O (2), and [Cu(L)Br]Br·3H2O (4) and octahedral ([Cu(L)(OAc)2]·5H2O (3)) geometries were proposed. The EPR data of 1, 2, and 4 indicate d1x2(-y)2 ground state of Cu(II) ion with a considerable exchange interaction. The measured cytotoxicity for L and its complexes (1, 2) against three tumor cell lines showed that coordination improves the antitumor activity of the ligand; IC50 for breast cancer cells are ≈8.5, 3, and 4 μg/mL for L and complexes (1) and (2), respectively.  相似文献

New Cu(II) and Pd(II) complexes of tetradentate macrocyclic nitrogen ligand i.e. (10E,13E)-11,13-dimethyl-4H-dibenzo[g,n]naphtho[1,8-bc][1,5,9,13]tetraazacyclohexa-decine 5,19(12H,20H)-dione have been synthesized. The compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses, spectral (IR, UV–Vis, 1H NMR, MS and ESR), 3D molecular modeling, molar conductivity, magnetic as well as thermal analysis measurements. On the basis of above studies, tetragonally distorted octahedral or square planar geometry has been proposed for the complexes. Also, the in vitro antitumor activity of the synthesized ligand and most complexes against human breast and human hepatocarcinoma cell lines (MCF-7 and HepG2, respectively) has been studied. Furthermore, the current compounds have been screened for their possible antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus as Gram-positive bacteria, Escherichia coli as Gram-negative bacteria Aspergillus flavus and Candida albicans as antifungal agents.  相似文献

Complexes of Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) with 8-aminoquinoline were prepared and characterized, and their thermal behaviour and decomposition pathways were studied. The thermal stabilities are discussed in terms of ionic radii, crystal field splitting energy and steric hindrance. The effective roles of the counter-ions (Cl? and NO 3 ? ) on the decomposition temperatures and the final products were also clarified. The energies of activation (E a ) and the orders of some decomposition reactions were determined. Light is shed on the nature of the interaction of the water of crystallization and the polymorphic transformation phenomenon.  相似文献

Abstract

A one pot procedure was used to synthesize two new derivatives of α-aminophosphonates. Novel copper(II) complexes of α-aminophosphonates were synthesized by coordinating different copper salts with the newly synthesized α-aminophosphonates. Their structures were characterized by different spectral and analytical techniques. Evaluation of the metal-free ligands HL1, HL2, and their Cu(II) complexes against human colon carcinoma HT-29 cell lines was performed, using cisplatin as a reference drug. The results indicated that the complexes of the ligand HL1 exhibited enhanced anticancer activity, while ligand HL2 complexes showed decreased anticancer activity.  相似文献

Summary Nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes of Schiff bases derived from salicylaldehyde, 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde, 2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde, 2,3-dihydroxybenzaldehyde or 5-chlorosalicylaldehyde and 8-aminoquinoline have been prepared and characterized. Several of the complexes are thermochromic in the solid state. The origin of the thermochrornism is discussed in terms of changes in ligand field strength and coordination geometry. These changes were studied by means of thermal and spectral methods.  相似文献

UO2(VI), Sn(IV), Th(IV) and Li(I) complexes of 4-azomalononitrile antipyrine (L) have been isolated and characterized based on IR spectra, 1H NMR, elemental analyses, molar conductance and thermal analysis (DTA/TG). The study revealed that the ligand behaves as a neutral bidentate one and coordination takes place via the carbonyl atom of pyrazolone ring >C=O and the azomethine nitrogen >C=N. The thermal stability of the metal complexes were investigated by thermogravimetry (TG), differential thermal analysis (DTA) techniques and infrared spectra, and correlated to their structure. The thermal study revealed that Th(IV) complexes show lower thermal stability than both UO2(VI) and Sn(IV) complexes.  相似文献
