A novel Cu(II)-Mn(II) hexanuclear complex of formula [[MnCuL](3)(tma)](ClO(4))(3).8H(2)O [H(2)L = macrocyclic Robson proligand; H(3)tma = trimesic acid] has been obtained by connecting three heterobinuclear [Cu(II)Mn(II)L](2+) cationic species through the trimesate anion. The complex exhibits a C(3) rotational symmetry, imposed by the geometry of the bridging ligand. The interaction within each Mn(II)-Cu(II) pair is antiferromagnetic (J = -16.7 cm(-1)). A weak ferromagnetic coupling among the three S = 2 resulting spins through the tricarboxylato bridge leads to a S = 6 ground spin state, for which the spin polarization mechanism is responsible.  相似文献

The present study investigates the antioxidant activities of some Romanian plants, using different spectrophotometric methods (FRAP I, FRAP II, and CUPRAC). The plants investigated are hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha), bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus L.), rosehip (Rosa canina), and chokeberries (Aronia melanocarpa). Hawthorn is used to treat a wide variety of inflammatory conditions, but the primary use is generally restricted for treating hypertension, ischemic heart disease, congestive heart failure, and arrhythmia. Investigations have proved the safe and reliable use of plant and plant extracts for treatment of cardiovascular disorders.  相似文献

The evolution of different antimicrobial drugs in terrestrial, microgravity and hypergravity conditions is presented within this review, in connection with their implementation during human space exploration. Drug stability is of utmost importance for applications in outer space. Instabilities may be radiation-induced or micro-/hypergravity produced. The antimicrobial agents used in space may have diminished effects not only due to the microgravity-induced weakened immune response of astronauts, but also due to the gravity and radiation-altered pathogens. In this context, the paper provides schemes and procedures to find reliable ways of fighting multiple drug resistance acquired by microorganisms. It shows that the role of multipurpose medicines modified at the molecular scale by optical methods in long-term space missions should be considered in more detail. Solutions to maintain drug stability, even in extreme environmental conditions, are also discussed, such as those that would be encountered during long-duration space exploratory missions. While the microgravity conditions may not be avoided in space, the suggested approaches deal with the radiation-induced modifications in humans, bacteria and medicines onboard, which may be fought by novel pharmaceutical formulation strategies along with radioprotective packaging and storage.  相似文献

Titanium is a low density element with excellent mechanical properties, and is an attractive material for structural and biomedical applications. In recent years, a new process technology is emerging by which titanium and titanium alloys can be obtained by using titanium hydride (TiH2) as a precursor for Ti and its mixture with alloying elements. The feasibility of this manufacturing approach has been fully demonstrated from powder to sintering and from microstructure to mechanical properties. In this paper, a study concerning powder metallurgy processing of Ti by spark plasma sintering (SPS) route is presented. The influence of the technological parameters on the hardness and microstructures change during SPS has been studied. The experimental results are related to microscopic, thermal, and mechanical analysis.  相似文献

The new bis-iminopyrrolyl five-coordinate Co(II) complexes [Co(kappa (2) N, N'-NC 4H 3C(R)N-2,6- (i)Pr 2C 6H 3) 2(PMe 3)] (R = H 3a; Me 3b) were synthesized in high yields (ca. 80-90%), using THF and diethyl ether as solvents, respectively, by (a) treatment of CoCl 2(PMe 3) 2 with the corresponding iminopyrrolyl Na salts ( Ie or If) or (b) reaction of anhydrous CoCl 2 and PMe 3 with Ie or If. A third route was tested, involving the addition of excesses of PMe 3 to the complexes [Co(kappa (2) N, N'-NC 4H 3C(R)N-2,6- (i)Pr 2C 6H 3) 2] (R = H 1e; Me 1f), which was only successful for the synthesis of 3a, in lower yields (ca. 30%). The synthesis of 3b in THF was unfruitful because of the kinetic competition of the solvent, giving rise to mixtures of 1f and its coordinated THF adduct 4b. The synthesis of the new bis-iminopyrrolyl five-coordinate Co(II) complexes [Co(kappa (2) N, N'-NC 4H 3C(R)N-2,6- (i)Pr 2C 6H 3) 2(THF)] (R = H 4a; Me 4b) were carried out in high yields (ca. 80-90%) by the reaction of CoCl 2(THF) 1.5 with the corresponding iminopyrrolyl Na salt. All the compounds have been characterized by X-ray diffraction, with 3a and 3b showing axially compressed trigonal bipyramidal geometry (with the PMe 3 ligand lying on the equatorial plane), whereas complexes 4a and 4b exhibit distorted square pyramidal geometries with the THF molecule occupying the axial position. Complex 4a shows clearly a compressed geometry, but for complex 4b, two polymorphs were characterized, exhibiting molecules with different Co-O (THF) bond lengths, one of them being compatible with an elongated form. Magnetic measurements either in the solid or in the liquid phases indicate that complexes 3a and 3b have low-spin ground states ( S = 1/2). In toluene solution, the geometry is fully confirmed by EPR data, which further indicates a d x (2) - y (2) /d xy ground state. However, compounds 4a and 4b behave unusually because they show magnetic moments that are compatible with high-spin ground states ( S = 3/2) in the solid state, but conform to low-spin ground states ( S = 1/2) when both complexes are dissolved in toluene solutions. The low-spin ground states in toluene solution are confirmed by EPR spectroscopy, which further supports, for complexes 4a and 4b, an axially elongated square pyramidal geometry and a d z (2) ground state. Thus the change in the ground-state and, consequently, in the geometry of complexes 4a and 4b from solid state to toluene solution might be a consequence of the elongation of the Co-O(THF) bond length. DFT studies performed on complexes 3 and 4 corroborate their different structure and magnetic behaviors and verify, for the latter complexes, the structural differences observed in the solid state and in toluene solution.  相似文献

Kinetic stability studies of a series of pseudorotaxanes formed from electron-rich crown ethers (hosts and ) and naphthalene diimide (guest ) in the presence of alkali salt templates MX (where M(+) = Li(+) and Na(+), and X(-) = Cl(-), Br(-), I(-), NO(3)(-) and CF(3)SO(3)(-)) were performed by (1)H NMR. The switching between the (bound) host and its linkage isomer host (free) was monitored in solution in the presence and absence of alkali salts, to establish the relative thermodynamic stabilities in the series. We also report here six new crystal structures, for pseudorotaxanes of type: [.], [M(2)..](2+) and [M(2)..](2+). Their solution-phase structures are in good agreement with the solid-state structures determined by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

New M(II) bis(thiosemicarbazonato) complexes (M = Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II)) featuring allyl groups at the exocyclic nitrogens have been synthesised. The complexes were characterised in solution by spectroscopic methods and their solid state structures determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction using synchrotron radiation. The Zn(II) complex was found to be intrinsically fluorescent and soluble in biocompatible media. The uptake of this Zn(II) complex in HeLa, MCF-7 and IGROV cancer cells was monitored by fluorescence microscopies (epi- and confocal fluorescence imaging). The radiolabelling to (64)Cu(II) bis(thiosemicarbazonato) complex was performed cleanly by transmetallation from the corresponding Zn(II) species using (64)Cu(OAc)(2).  相似文献
