High-energy assisted extraction techniques, like ultrasound assisted extraction (UAE) and microwave assisted extraction (MAE), are widely applied over the last years for the recovery of bioactive compounds such as carotenoids, antioxidants and phenols from foods, animals and herbal natural sources. Five new brominated diterpenes, along with two known, have been isolated from the organic extract of the red alga Laurencia obtusa, collected from the coastal rocks of Preveza in the Ionean Sea, Greece. The novel metabolites prevezols B-E possess two new carbon skeletons, to the best of our knowledge, unprecedented in the literature. The structures and the relative stereochemistry of the new natural products were established by means of spectral data analyses. The new metabolites were tested for their cytotoxic activity against five human cell lines. Two metabolites have exhibited significant cytotoxicity. 相似文献

Depending on the nature of the substituents on the stereogenic carbon atom, the ene reaction of singlet oxygen with several chiral alkenes by confinement within thionin-supported zeolite NaY, may exhibit significant changes on facial selectivity by comparison to their photooxygenation reaction in solution. It is proposed that, apart from the conformational consequences as a result of the alkene confinement within the zeolite cavities, a synergism between Na+-π interactions and singlet oxygen-Na+ interactions plays a significant role in the transition states of ene hydroperoxidation. Within NaY, the diastereoselectivity may significantly depend on the site selectivity, as probed through specific deuterium labelling of trisubstituted alkenes bearing a gem-dimethyl group. In certain cases, a remote stereogenic centre relative to the reacting double bond may induce enhanced diastereoselection and regioselectivity. 相似文献

DAB-dendr-(NH2)32 has been modified to produce two novel dendrimeric P,N-ligands, DAB-dendr-[1,2-(NCHC6H4PPh2)]32 and DAB-dendr-[1,2-(NHCH2C6H4PPh2)]32. These were both found to activate electron rich aryl bromides in the Heck reaction. The reactions seem to proceed better in a novel solvent system consisting of an equimolar mixture of a tertiary amine with acetic acid. A marked dependence of the conversion on the [equivalents of dendrimeric ligand]/[Pd] ratio has been observed with conversion decreasing as the ratio of dendrimer equivalents to Pd increases. The role of hydrogen bonding in the formation or stabilization of liquid crystalline phases has only recently been appreciated. Following the first, wellestablished examples of liquid crystal formation from the dimerization of aromatic carboxylic acids, through hydrogen bonding, several classes of compounds have recently been synthesized, the liquid crystalline behavior of which is also dependent on intermolecular hydrogen bonds between similar or dissimilar molecules. In this review the main classes of compounds exhibiting liquid crystallinity due to hydrogen bonding are presented to show the diversity of organic compounds that can be used as building elements in liquid crystals. The molecules are either of the rigid-rod anisotropic or amphiphilic types such as molecules appropriately functionalized with pyridyl and carboxyl groups, whose interaction leads to the formation of liquid crystals; amphiphilic carbohydrates and amphiphilic and bolaamphiphilic compounds with multiple hydroxyl groups whose dimerization or association is indispensable for the formation of liquid crystals; and certain amphiphilic carboxylic acids with monomeric or polymeric mesogens and amphiphilic-type compounds bearing different moieties, whose interaction may lead to the formation of mesomorphic compounds. Associated with the macroscopic display of liquid crystalline phases is the supramolecular structure, and therefore rather extended discussion of these structures are included in this review. 相似文献
