Surface and catalytic properties of Cu–Ce–O composite materials prepared by solution combustion method have been investigated. The materials are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), temperature programmed reduction (TPR) and electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy (EPR). The results of EPR and TPR show finely dispersed Cu2+ species on ceria matrix with low copper content. The Cu2+ species exists in the form of dimers and clusters which are not evident in XRD. In addition CuO is also present as small clusters which grow to larger size at higher Cu content. There is no evidence of CuO forming a solid solution with fluorite CeO2 in combustion method. The Cu2+ species mostly appear on surface rather than in the bulk. Hydrogen peroxide decomposition kinetics has been carried out on Cu–Ce–O composite materials to investigate the effect of crystalline and well-dispersed copper oxide phases on CeO2. From kinetic results, the catalyst materials can be grouped into highly dispersed as well as crystalline CuO phases present on CeO2 matrix. Two parallel compensating lines for dispersed and crystalline CuO phases on CeO2 are observed in ln A versus Ea plot indicating the compensation effect in H2O2 decomposition. This observation is consistent with XRD and EPR results.  相似文献

The generation of organic–inorganic hybrid materials from renewable resources and their utilization in basic and applied areas has been at the forefront of research in recent years for sustainable development. Herein, a novel organic–inorganic trihybrid material was synthesized by in situ generation of palladium nanoparticles (PdNPs) in a hybrid gel matrix based on renewable chemicals. Constituents of the hybrid gel included a pentacyclic triterpenoid arjunolic acid extractable from Terminalia arjuna and the leaf extract of Chrysophyllum cainito rich in flavonoids. We took advantage of the presence of flavonoid molecules in this hybrid gel to generate an advanced trihybrid gel through in situ reduction of doped PdII salts to stable PdNPs. The xerogel of this trihybrid material was used as a recyclable heterogeneous catalyst for C?C coupling and reduction reactions in aqueous media. We also demonstrated that the in situ generated PdNPs containing trihybrid material was a more efficient catalyst than the trihybrid material generated with presynthesized PdNPs.  相似文献

Graft copolymerization of acrylonitrile (AN) onto sisal fibers (chemically modified) was studied using the Mn(III)/EDTA redox system in aqueous solution. The effects of time, monomer (AN), metal ion [Mn(III)] substrate [ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA)], temperature, and acid concentration on graft yield have been studied. The effects of thiourea on the graft yield has also been studied. A suitable mechanism is proposed.  相似文献

The synthesis of a new plasticized low lattice energy lithium salt (PLI), structurally related to lithium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide (LiTFSI), is described. Incorporation of the plasticizing moiety in a single salt molecule greatly simplifies the solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) processing formulation without compromising performance. Thermally and electrochemically stable polymer electrolyte films of PLI exhibit good ionic conductivity, though somewhat lower than that for LiTFSI. The pentafluorophenyl analog of LiTFSI, prepared by two approaches, exhibits behavior similar to that of LiTFSI.  相似文献

Syntheses of three unnatural steroidal C(20R) aldehydes have been realised from 16-dehydropregnenolone acetate. The salient feature of the synthesis is the ionic hydrogenation of C-20 tertiary alcohols leading to the formation of the C(20R) unnatural isomer with complete stereoselectivity. Oxidative hydrolysis of the dithiane moiety furnished the C(20R) aldehydes.  相似文献

An efficient synthetic route to fuse [5]helicene moieties around the phthalocyanine core is reported. The helicene moiety was constructed by the Diels-Alder reaction of 3,4,3',4'-tetrahydro-1,1'-dinaphthyl and dibromobenzyne. Subsequent cyanation, oxidation, O-alkylation, and cyclic tetramerization resulted in octaalkoxy phthalocyanine derivatives which showed high solubility in common organic solvents and displayed strong absorption in the near-IR region.  相似文献

Reduction of cyclohexanone to cyclohexanol using propane-2-ol as hydrogen donor has been carried out in vapor phase on CexZr1-xO2 solid solutions synthesized by ombustion synthesized at 302°C. The solid solutions around 0.4 mol% cerium content show better catalytic activity compared to pure ZrO2 and the selectivity to cyclohexanol is 98%. A moderate acid-base and good redox properties of CexZr1-xO2 solid solutions are seen to be responsible for the catalytic activity. A possible mechanism of hydride transfer has been proposed with cerium ions as promoters. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献
