Pictet-spengler reaction in the synthesis of condensed benzodiazepines. 2.* Synthesis of new derivatives of 11,12-dihydroquinazoline-[3,2-<Emphasis Type="Italic">c</Emphasis>][2, 3]benzodiazepin-14(6H)-ones

New derivatives of dihydroquinazoline[3,2-c][2, 3]benzodiazepin-14(6H)-ones were synthesized using the Pictet-Spengler reaction of 3-amino-2-(3,4-dimethoxybenzyl)quinazolin-4(3H)-one with aliphatic and heterocyclic aldehydes in acid media.     

Modification of the Pictet–Spengler reaction in the synthesis of fused 2,3-benzodiazocines

A new strategy for the synthesis of the eight-membered heterocyclic skeleton of tetrahydro-quinazolino[3,2-c][2,3]benzodiazocin-15-ones, based on the Pictet–Spengler reaction of 3-amino-2-[2-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)ethyl]quinazolin-4(3H)-one with carbonyl compounds in acidic media, is proposed.     

Reaction of 3-acylamino- and 3-alkoxybenzo[<Emphasis Type="Italic">c</Emphasis>]pyrilium salts with hydrazine

The reaction of 3-acylamino- and 3-alkoxybenzo[c]pyrilium perchlorates with hydrazine has been studied. It was discovered that the direction of the recyclization of the pyran ring depends on the type of substituent in position 3 and on the ratio of reactants. Functionally substituted benzo[c]pyrilium salts. Reactions of 4-carbethoxybenzo[c]pyrilium salts with benzylamine

It was shown that benzo[c]pyrilium salts containing an acceptor group at position 4 react with benzylamine to form intermediate N-benzylisoquinolinium salts which then undergo conversion to 2-benzyl-6-benzylaminoisoquinolinium cations and napthylamines.Institute for Physico-Organic Chemistry and Carbon Chemistry, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Donetsk 340114. Synthesis and Structure of 8-Methyl-2-methylene-1,4,6,9-tetraoxaspiro[4.4]nonane

By reacting propylene carbonate with epichlorohydrin 8-methyl-2-chloromethyl-1,4,6,9-tetra- oxaspiro[4.4]nonane was obtained that afforded 8-methyl-2-methylene-1,4,6,9-tetraoxaspiro[4.4]nonane on dehydrochlorination. The spirocompounds synthesized are composed of stereoisomers mixtures containing: cis,syn-, cis,anti-, trans,syn-, trans,anti-isomers and cis,syn-, cis,anti-isomers, respectively. These isomers are distinguished by a different orientation of substituents in positions 2 and 8 with respect to two five-membered rings.
