Electron mobility has been calculated in a number of binary II–VI compound semiconductors using a displaced Maxwellian distribution function and taking the various scattering mechanisms into consideration at different lattice temperatures and for various amounts of ionized impurity concentrations. It is observed that the low field mobility values can be expressed by a cubic power relationship with lattice temperature and with ionized impurity concentration using a least mean square fit technique with an accuracy better than 5 per cent. Similarly, the field dependence of mobility can also be expressed as a power series of the applied electric field. It is suggested that these equations can be profitably used for a quick estimation of mobility values as a check on experiments and also as sufficiently accurate formulae for simulation and modelling purposes.  相似文献

We present exact numerical results for a symmetric layered medium (prism/Ag film/nonlinear dielectric/Ag film/prism) where the middle dielectric slab is assumed to have a saturation-type nonlinearity. We show bistable behaviour in the power dependence of the reflectivity ofp-polarized light under the condition when coupled surface modes are excited in the structure. Moreover, we study the effect of saturation on the bistable behaviour to show that multivalued character is inhibited by saturation effects. The field distributions corresponding to the minimum reflectivity states of the nonlinear structure are also presented.  相似文献

Laser flash photolysis of phenazine (PZ) solution reveals the existence of a stable species with a long lifetime at 380 nm in addition to the usual triplet PZ at 440 nm. The former is suggested to be due to formation of triplet PZ excimer. The triplet excimer also undergoes photoinduced electron transfer with some aromatic amines. The formation of PZ dimer anion radical and amine cation radicals are confirmed by external magnetic field effect studies. Measurement of B1/2, which estimates hyperfine present in the system, also supports this assignment.  相似文献

Employing the strategy of quaternization of the 2,2' N atoms of the conjugated bipyridine ligand 1,4-bis[2-(4'-methyl-2,2'-bipyrid-4-yl)ethenyl]benzene (L), a polypyridyl complex of ruthenium(II) was tethered on the surface of zeolite Y. Electrochemical and spectroscopic properties of the complex suggest that, upon visible photoexcitation of the MLCT band, the electron is localized on the conjugated ligand rather than the bipyridines. Electron transfer from the surface complex to bipyridinium ions (methyl viologen) within the zeolite was observed. Visible light photolysis of the ruthenium-zeolite solid ion-exchanged with diquat and suspended in a propyl viologen sulfonate solution led to permanent formation of the blue propyl viologen sulfonate radical ion in solution. The model that is proposed involves intrazeolitic charge transfer to ion-exchanged diquat followed by interfacial (zeolite to solution) electron transfer to propyl viologen sulfonate in solution. Because of the slow intramolecular back-electron-transfer reaction and the forward electron propagation via the ion-exchanged diquat, Ru(III) is formed. This Ru(III) complex formed on the zeolite is proposed to react rapidly with water in the presence of light, followed by reaction with the propyl viologen sulfonate, to form pyridones and regeneration of Ru(II), which then continues the photochemical process.  相似文献

In the present study, we demonstrate the benefits of a shear-driven rotating microchamber system for the enhancement of microarray hybridizations, by comparing the system with two commonly used hybridization techniques: purely diffusion-driven hybridization under coverslip and hybridization using a fully automated hybridization station, in which the sample is pumped in an oscillating manner. Starting from the same amount of DNA for the three different methods, a series of hybridization experiments using mouse lung and testis DNA is presented to demonstrate these benefits. The gain observed using the rotating microchamber is large: both in terms of analysis speed (up to tenfold increase) and in final spot intensity (up to sixfold increase). The gain is due to the combined effect of the hybridization chamber miniaturization (leading to a sample concentration increase if comparing iso-mass conditions) and the transport enhancement originating from the rotational shear-driven flow induced by the rotation of the chamber bottom wall.  相似文献
