Monodisperse, cross-conjugated perphenylated iso-polydiacetylene (iso-PDA) oligomers, ranging from monomer 15 to pentadecamer 25, have been synthesized by using a palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling protocol. Structural characteristics elucidated by X-ray crystallographic analysis demonstrate a non-planar backbone conformation for the oligomers due to the steric interactions between alkylidene phenyl groups. The electronic absorption spectra of the oligomers show a slight red-shift of the maximum absorption wavelength as the chain length increases from dimer 17 b to pentadecamer 25, a trend that has saturated by the stage of nonamer 22. Fluorescence spectroscopy confirms that the pendent phenyl groups present on the oligomer framework enhance emission, and the relative emission intensity consistently increases as a function of chain length n. The molecular third-order nonlinearities, gamma, for this oligomer series have been measured via differential optical Kerr effect (DOKE) detection and show a superlinear increase as a function of the oligomer chain length n. Molecular modeling and spectroscopic studies suggest that iso-PDA oligomers (n>7) adopt a coiled, helical conformation in solution. 相似文献

Ketoconazole is an antifungal agent, which is the active ingredient in a shampoo primarily used for the treatment of seborrhatic dermatitis (anti-dandruff shampoo). The shampoo also contains imidazolidinylurea as a formaldehyde releasing preservative. The aim of this study was to develop a HPLC system that allows the determination of both ketoconazole and formaldehyde. The finally selected isocratic system consisted of an Interchrom Nucleosil (250 X 4.6 mm, 5 microm) C8 column and a mobile phase containing acetonitrile-phosphate buffer 0.025 M, pH 4.0, 45/55 (v/v). Ketoconazole could immediately be determined at 250 nm after injection of diluted shampoo. Formaldehyde was measured at 345 nm after derivatisation with a 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine solution. At the selected conditions, the other excipients of the shampoo did not interfere in the assays for both substances. Method validation was performed on both assays. Different selectivity towards ketoconazole and formaldehyde was observed when applying other C8 columns. This fact, however, did not affect the assays of both substances. 相似文献

Comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GC x GC) with time-of-flight mass spectrometry detection is used to profile the fatty acid composition of whole/intact aquatic microorganisms such as the common fresh water green algae Scenedesmus acutus and the filamentous cyanobacterium Limnothrix sp. strain MRI without any sample preparation steps. It is shown that the technique can be useful in the identification of lipid markers in food-web as well as environmental studies. For instance, new mono- and diunsaturated fatty acids were found in the C(16) and C(18) regions of the green algae S. acutus and the filamentous cyanobacterium Limnothrix sp. strain MRI samples. These fatty acids have not, to our knowledge, been detected in the conventional one-dimensional (1D) GC analysis of these species due to either co-elution and/or their presence in low amounts in the sample matrix. In GC x GC, all congeners of the fatty acids in these microorganisms could be detected and identified due to the increased analyte detectability and ordered structures in the two-dimensional separation space. The combination of direct thermal desorption (DTD)-GC x GC-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (ToF-MS) promises to be an excellent tool for a more accurate profiling of biological samples and can therefore be very useful in lipid biomarker research as well as food-web and ecological studies. 相似文献

In this paper, we discuss the use of a direct thermal desorption (DTD) interface as an alternative to Curie-point flash pyrolysis system as an inlet technique in gas chromatography-combustion isotope-ratio mass spectrometry (GC/C-IRMS) analysis of whole/intact phytoplankton and zooplankton specimens. The DTD in combination with a combipal auto-injector is programmed to perform the injection, evaporation of solvents, transport of capped programmed-temperature vaporizer (PTV) liners to the PTV injector and chemical derivatisation (thermally assisted hydrolysis/methylation; THM) such that a profile of a cellular fatty acids is obtained. Flow-cytometric sorted microalgae and handpicked zooplankton are used as samples with trimethylsulfonium hydroxide (TMSH) as methylating reagent. A major advantage of this novel approach over the Curie-point technique is the automation of the total procedure, which allows unattended analysis of large sample series. The profiles and delta(13)C carbon isotopic signatures of the fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs) produced are very similar to those obtained using the Curie-point flash pyrolysis method. It is shown that algal samples must be kept no longer than 48 h in the DTD sample tray prior to the THM-analysis in order to maintain the integrity of their FAME profile. 相似文献

Common recipe for the lengthening pendulum (LP) involves some change of variables to give a relationship with the Bessel’s equation. In this work, conventional semiclassical JWKB solution (named after Jeffreys, Wentzel, Kramers and Brillouin) of the LP is being obtained by first transforming the related Bessel’s equation into the normal form ‘via the suggested change of independent variable’. JWKB approximation of the first-order Bessel functions (ν=1) of both types along with their zeros are being obtained analytically with a very good accuracy as a result of the appropriately chosen associated initial values and they are extended to the neighbouring orders (ν=0 and 2) by the recursion relations. The required initial values are also being studied and a quantization rule regarding the experimental LP parameters is being determined. Although common numerical methods given in the literature require adiabatic LP systems where the lengthening rate is slow, JWKB solution presented here can safely be used for higher lengthening rates and a criterion for its validity is determined by the JWKB applicability criterion given in the literature. As a result, the semiclassical JWKB method which is normally used for the quantum mechanical and optical waveguide systems is applied to the classical LP system successfully. 相似文献

We have studied the reaction of 4,4,9-trimethyl-4,9-dihydro-4-silanaphtho[3,2-b]-thiophen-9-one with organometallic compounds, lithium aluminum hydride, sodium borohydride, aniline, and acetyl nitrate. We have obtained secondary and tertiary dihydrosilanaphtho[3,2-b]thiophen-9-ols and 9-phenyliminodihydrosilanaphtho[3,2-b]thiophene. We have established that nitration of dihydrosilanaphthothiophen-9-one occurs at the position of the thiophene moiety.Russian University of International Friendship, Moscow 117923. Fatty acid profiling of raw human plasma and whole blood using direct thermal desorption combined with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
Gas chromatography (GC) has in recent times become an important tool for the fatty acid profiling of human blood and plasma. An at-line procedure used in the fatty acid profiling of whole/intact aquatic micro-organisms without any sample preparation was adapted for this work. A direct thermal desorption (DTD) interface was used to profile the fatty acid composition of human plasma and whole human blood of eight volunteers in a procedure omitting the usual lipid extraction steps that precede sample methylation in the traditional (off-line) protocols. Trimethylsulfonium hydroxide (TMSH) was used as reagent for thermally assisted methylation. In a fully automated manner, the liner of the GC injector is used as a sample-and-reaction container with the aid of the DTD interface. The fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) profiles obtained using this novel approach, were very identical to those obtained when the traditional off-line protocol was applied. FAME yields obtained in the at-line DTD method were found to be very similar for saturated fatty acids, but significantly higher for polyunsaturated fatty acids compared to off-line yields. As a result of the contribution of circulating cell membranes in blood, substantial differences were observed when the amount of FAMEs obtained in whole human blood and human plasma samples were compared after their analysis. Thanks to the fully automated operation of this novel procedure, large series of analyses can easily be performed. 相似文献
