A parallel plate interferometer with a reflecting mirror for measuring angular displacement is proposed. A deflection angle
of a beam caused by an angular displacement is amplified by use of a reflecting mirror to increase the optical path difference
(OPD) in the plane-parallel plate, which provides high sensitivity of the phase measurement. Detection of light transmitted
through the plane-parallel plate with a position sensitive detector (PSD) enables high accurate measurement of the initial
angle of incidence to the plane-parallel plate with insensitivity to stray light. The improved parallel plate interferometer
achieves a measurement repeatability of 10−8 rad. 相似文献

The problem of stabilizing the axis of a solid by coupled perfectly rigid bodies (PRBs) is solved. The solid executes a plane-parallel
motion. The PRBs can rotate as a single rigid body about the centroidal axis of the solid and counterrotate about its transverse
axes through equal angles. There is a particle inside the solid which causes its imbalance. It is established that the principal
state (if any) of the system—rotation about the centroidal axis—is stable, whereas the rest (unwanted) states are unstable

On the basis of Stokes separated flows, examples of separated flows described by the Navier-Stokes equations of a viscous incompressible fluid are constructed. These flows are represented by series convergent in a certain non-zero neighborhood of a flat contour immersed in the flow. In this neighborhood, the series have the same structure as those for the basic Stokes flows. Examples of the regions in which the series segments chosen give only a slight deviation from the numerical solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations are presented. The comparison between inviscid separated flows (without the no-slip condition on the contour) and viscous flows of the same structure (with the no-slip condition) shows that the viscosity does not play a decisive role in the formation of separation or the type of streamline approach to or departure from the contour. 相似文献

We have numerically modeled astigmatism correction for a large-aperture mirror spectrometer using a tilted plane-parallel
plate. The results suggest a decrease in the height of the astigmatic focal spot by a factor of 2–7 over the entire image
field without reducing the spectral resolution. We have demonstrated experimentally that the described correction method is
feasible on a prototype of a spectrometer. Based on the numerical modeling and experimental data, we have shown that practical
application of the method is feasible in order to substantially improve the sensitivity of spectral instruments.
