By using angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy, we investigate the electronic structures of Pt-skin layer of Pt–Co and Pt–Ni alloys with CO molecules on the surface. Measured Fermi surface maps and band dispersions reflect the signatures of chemical bonding between Pt-skin layer and CO molecules. Furthermore, the degree of chemical bonding strength of CO molecules, estimated from the energy shift of the participating bands, is found to be reduced on both Pt bimetallic alloys. Our results show how the surface band structure of Pt bimetallic alloys is modified with molecular orbitals of CO molecules on the surface, revealing the important role of the electronic structure in the determination of chemical properties of bimetallic alloys. 相似文献

A number of cool materials have been designed and used in hot weather to minimize the heat coming from sunlight. Traditionally, solar reflectance and infrared emittance were measured to characterize the cooling properties of cool materials. However, these methods could represent the cooling property only indirectly. In this work, a sandwich structure device that can straightforwardly measure the cooling properties of cool materials was designed. Two cool materials, including high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC), were selected to verify the device. For the purpose of comparison, UV-vis-NIR spectral characterization was also used to evaluate the cooling properties of the selected materials. The results, especially for the HDPE/Green 260 composite sample, which presents much lower solar reflectance but better cooling property, indicated that the cooling properties cannot be entirely represented by only the reflectance or transmittance, and the sandwich structure device was able to make up for this deficiency. 相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to determine , the overall homogenized Love-Kirchhoff strength domain of a rigid perfectly plastic multi-layered plate, and to study the relationship between the 3D and the homogenized Love-Kirchhoff plate limit analysis problems. In the Love-Kirchhoff model, the generalized stresses are the in-plane (membrane) and the out-of-plane (flexural) stress field resultants. The homogenization method proposed by Bourgeois [1997. Yield design of thin periodic plates by a homogenization technique and an application to masonry wall. C. R. Méc. 331, 641-646] for in-plane periodic rigid perfectly plastic plates is justified using the asymptotic expansion method. For laminated plates, an explicit parametric representation of the yield surface is given thanks to the π-function (the plastic dissipation power density function) that describes the local strength domain at each point of the plate. This representation also provides a localization method for the determination of the 3D stress components corresponding to every generalized stress belonging to . For a laminated plate described with a yield function of the form , where σu is a positive even function of the out-of-plane coordinate x3 and is a convex function of the local stress σ, two effective constants and a normalization procedure are introduced. A symmetric sandwich plate consisting of two Von-Mises materials ( in the skins and in the core) is studied. An analytical model is developed to classify the impulsive response of sandwich beams based on the relative time-scales of core compression and the bending/stretching response of the sandwich beam. It is shown that an overlap in time scales leads to a coupled response and to the possibility of an enhanced shock resistance. Four regimes of behaviour are defined: decoupled responses with the sandwich core densifying partially or completely, and coupled responses with partial or full core densification. These regimes are marked on maps with axes chosen from the sandwich beam transverse core strength, the sandwich beam aspect ratio and the level of blast impulse. In addition to predicting the time-scales involved in the response of the sandwich beam, the analytical model is used to estimate the back face deflection, the degree of core compression and the magnitude of the support reactions. The predictions of the analytical model are compared with finite element (FE) simulations of impulsively loaded sandwich beams comprising an anisotropic foam core and elastic, ideally plastic face-sheets. The analytical and numerical predictions are in good agreement up to the end of core compression. However, the analytical model under-predicts the peak back face deflection and over-predicts the support reactions, especially for sandwich beams with high strength cores. The FE calculations are employed to construct design charts to select the optimum transverse core strength that either minimises the back face deflections or support reactions for a given sandwich beam aspect ratio or blast impulse. Typically, the value of the transverse core strength that minimises the back face deflection also minimises the support reactions. However, the optimal core strength depends on the level of blast impulse, with higher strength cores required for greater blasts. 相似文献

New fabrication technologies now allow for hybrid sandwich structures, known as X-core, to be manufactured. The X-core panels
consist of a pin reinforced polymer foam core with carbon fiber face sheets. Carbon fiber or metallic (Titanium/Steel) pins
are inserted into the foam core in the out-of-plane direction and extend from face sheet to face sheet. The through thickness

The aim of this paper is to develop a reduction method to determine the modal characteristics of viscoelastic sandwich structures. The method is based on the high order Newton algorithm and reduction techniques. Numerical tests have been performed in the case of sandwich beams and cylindrical shells. 采用平板电极化学电沉积的方法,通过调节实验参量,在柔性ITO导电薄膜基底上制备了尺度与红外波长匹配、结构单元大小不等、排列无序的银树枝状结构.通过调节聚乙二醇-20000浓度可以很好地调控银树枝状结构单元的形貌和尺寸,研究发现,在一定范围内增加电解液中的聚乙二醇-20000浓度,可在基底上形成分布较密、分枝较细、分枝级数较高的银树枝状结构单元.通过在银树枝状结构表面涂覆一定厚度的聚乙烯醇作为绝缘层,组装成了柔性"三明治"结构复合材料,测试得到样品在红外波段的多通带透射谱,平板聚焦实验进一步验证了样品的左手效应. 相似文献
