竖直恒温面自然对流边界层不稳定性研究

在无扰动、随机式扰动以及正弦式扰动下,通过对竖直恒温面处状态Ra为1.328×10^9、Pr为6.24的自然对流进行模拟,探索了热边界层的不稳定性和共振强化自然对流换热。结果表明:(1)竖直自然对流边界层上游位置的随机式扰动对热边界层的影响主要体现在稳定阶段;(2)该状态下的竖直自然对流边界层的特征频率为15 067,且相比于无扰动状态,频率为15 067的正弦式扰动能在竖直恒温面处提高5.15%的换热量;(3)在竖直自然对流边界层上游位置加入特征频率的正弦式扰动,竖直恒温面处的局部努塞尔数Nu均出现明显波动,且波动随着边界层高度的增加而增大。     

Two-dimensional vortex sheets for the nonisentropic Euler equations: Nonlinear stability

We show the short-time existence and nonlinear stability of vortex sheets for the nonisentropic compressible Euler equations in two spatial dimensions, based on the weakly linear stability result of Morando and Trebeschi (2008) [20]. The missing normal derivatives are compensated through the equations of the linearized vorticity and entropy when deriving higher-order energy estimates. The proof of the resolution for this nonlinear problem follows from certain a priori tame estimates on the effective linear problem in the usual Sobolev spaces and a suitable Nash–Moser iteration scheme.     

Hermitian adjacency matrix of the second kind for mixed graphs

This contribution gives an extensive study on spectra of mixed graphs via its Hermitian adjacency matrix of the second kind (N-matrix for short) introduced by Mohar [25]. This matrix is indexed by the vertices of the mixed graph, and the entry corresponding to an arc from u to v is equal to the sixth root of unity $\omega =\frac{1+\mathbf{i}\sqrt{3}}{2}$ (and its symmetric entry is $\overline{\omega }=\frac{1?\mathbf{i}\sqrt{3}}{2}$); the entry corresponding to an undirected edge is equal to 1, and 0 otherwise. The main results of this paper include the following: equivalent conditions for a mixed graph that shares the same spectrum of its N-matrix with its underlying graph are given. A sharp upper bound on the spectral radius is established and the corresponding extremal mixed graphs are identified. Operations which are called two-way and three-way switchings are discussed–they give rise to some cospectral mixed graphs. We extract all the mixed graphs whose rank of its N-matrix is 2 (resp. 3). Furthermore, we show that if $M_G$ is a connected mixed graph with rank 2, then $M_G$ is switching equivalent to each connected mixed graph to which it is cospectral. However, this does not hold for some connected mixed graphs with rank 3. We identify all mixed graphs whose eigenvalues of its N-matrix lie in the range $(?\alpha ,\alpha )$ for $\alpha \in \{\sqrt{2},\sqrt{3},2\}$.     

岩石结构面的表面形态特征研究

本文用理论分析和数值模拟方法对具有不同粗糙度和起伏度的岩石结构面的形态特征作了定量研究, 着重研究了结构面表面形态参数与基本形态特征参数的关系, 并研究了它们的采样效应。得到了一系列在建立表面形态参数与物理量相互关系时对合理选用表面形态参数有重要意义的结果, 并可为选取合理的采样间隔和最小采样长度提供依据。     

Analytical and empirical studies on the characteristic resistances of no-insulation GdBCO racetrack pancake coil under various operating currents

This paper presents the effects of the Lorentz force on the electrical behaviors of the no-insulation (NI) GdBCO racetrack pancake (RP) coil without turn-to-turn insulation by performing charging/discharging and sudden-discharging tests. The simulation results of the 2-dimensional finite element method showed that the Lorentz forces were generated towards the center of the winding pack consisting of 60-turn GdBCO CCs, which could enhanced the turn-to-turn contact within the RP coil. The charging/discharging test results indicated that the characteristic resistance (R_c) of the NI RP coil decreased with increasing operating current, which was caused by an increase of the Lorentz force. Further, the results of the sudden-discharging tests exhibited that the Lorentz force was dissipated instantly during the sudden-discharge of the coil, since the operating current immediately decreased to zero. Overall, this study clearly demonstrated that the Lorentz force induced by the operating current exerts the electrical behaviors of an NI RP coil.     

Characteristic X-ray detector: In-situ imaging of radioactive contaminant distributions

The characteristic X-ray detector (CXRD), a CsI(Tl) scintillator with a 50-mm diameter, is a directional X-ray sensor that measures characteristic X-rays from radioactive material, such as ¹³⁷Cs, and identifies the direction of radioactive contamination. We evaluated a CXRD and visualized the distribution of radioactivity in the contaminated area near the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power station, where the ambient dose equivalent rate was 2.1 μSv/h at 1 m above ground level. We found a good correlation between the characteristic X-ray fluxes and the distribution of radioactive contaminants with a 0.823 Pearson product–moment correlation coefficient.     

刚体撞块撞击弹性长杆的二次撞击分析

本文采用应力波特征线方法详细分析了刚体撞击固支的弹性长杆的撞击过程，指出当撞块质量和长杆质量的比值满足一定条件时，在第一次撞击过程结束后会发生第二次撞击。
